We invite lovers of great food and wine to experience the casual atmosphere and the authentic French cuisine of Bistro 1902. Our location in downtown Hollywood is styled in tradition of these small Parisian restaurants, starting from the bottle in which we serve you water, ending with the cup in which we serve your cappuccino. And just like these early establishments we are family-owned and family-operated.
When you come to dine with us you are our guest, and we cook for you as we would for ourselves. That is the reason why we only serve the finest, freshest and most natural ingredients.
Bistro 1902 combines a quaint, familiar ambiance with decades of experiences. All our dishes are closely monitored by our head chef, who uses every bit of the knowledge he acquired in the 25 years he spent cooking in 4 and 5 star hotels and restaurants throughout Fr
"It was my first time at this restaurant, and its a shame that the food was so bad. The service was really good, friendly and everything was brought on time and correct. The food was just not good. I ordered the roasted salmon, thinking it would be fresh and healthy, but when it came it was covered in a super thick caramel sauce that has no business being any where near fish. Please save your caramel sauce for ice cream or some other dessert. The Julianne vegetables served with the salmon were soaked in butter/oil and not at all fresh. My friend ordered the special, some kind of seafood pasta with lobster, shrimp and scallops, it was recommended by the waitress. It was another major miss."

"We went on a sat afternoon so It was pretty empty when we walked which made me skeptical, but the food turned out to be prefect and since it was slow I think it gave the staff more time to attend to us, we all shared our dishes so we got to try a few things on the menu everything was fresh and plentiful"

"We celebrated our 12 yr Anniversary, the staff was wonderful, food choice excellent, tasty, filling and comfortable. I recommend the lobster Bisque, the meat trio with mushroom sauce, and passion fruit mousse. Our waitress, Meg, was fantastic, professional and a pure delight. The menu pricing is fair and the portions are just right. There seems to be something for everyone.
Date night, or just a nice night out, this is the place."

"We were pleasantly surprised that we enjoyed the Bistro 1902 on Hollywood Boulevard just off Art Park at Young Circle. The service could not have been better. Maurice was very patient and considerate as we slowly made our choices for brunch. He offered us his favorite choices and when the fruit bowl arrived it was not a small little sample of fruit, it was delicious selection of delicious fruit and at that point I knew that I could easily recommend the Birtro 1902 to our friends. The food was very good and the service was excellent."

"Awful! Awful! Awful! Dark, dingy looking atmosphere. Food mass prepared. Did not come as ordered two guests at our 4 top had to send food back. The waitress was sweet and accommodating. Generally the atmosphere is unsophisticated and class-less. Never again."

"I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday on a Friday night and the food was good. The meat was ordered medium well, but came out WAY TOO done, so I would suggest ordering any meat cooked medium rare - if you like a little pink. The environment was pretty cool. Ambient with a violinist playing throughout dinner which was nice. Got there around 8:15-:8:30 and the place was packed. Our server, Roger, was very nice and a GREAT server. He was very easy-going and prompt with our order and drinks. Gave pretty good food and wine recommendations. Maurice is another server there who is also very nice and friendly. Overall, this is a great date spot to go"

"Had an incredible wedding anniversary dinner here. The seafood trio was absolutely amazing, best scallops I've ever had. Had a tiny bit too much wine with my meal, but I couldn't help it!"

"Considering the lack of bistros and interesting cuisine in the area, Bistro 1902 offers a nice change to the diner style family restaurants that are legion. The menu and food are good but too conventional and lack in originality. In particular, the sauces are too strong and lack subtlety. The décor is somewhat cliché and a caricature of the French bistro, but the evening was nevertheless a nice change from the family restaurants of Fort Lauderdale."

"Very good food, affordable wine list, nice atmosphere, in a lively neighborhood with ample parking nearby. Picked it out off of Open Tale on a business trip. Did not disappoint. Would go back when in the area. Nothing spectacular, but who needs that every time. This pace is well worth a visit if you a looking for a good French Bistro."

"Last time we came to 1902 was for brunch with friends. We all loved it. So, we decided to try it for dinner. Our reservation was honored, we were seated as soon as we walked in. We all enjoyed our respective dinners. Our waitress was very attentive and very pleasant. This French bistro is a find for us & we highly recommend you try it."

"First things first....our server Moira was wonderful! She was friendly, funny, and attentive. Something that I wasn't very thrilled about was that we asked about two different items on the menu, and we were told that they would have to check first to see if they still had some left before we could order it? 2 demerits from me for that. Beyond that, there is nothing to complain about. The food was wonderful! I had the mussels as my entree, and there must have been at LEAST 3 dozen mussels! They were cooked in a curry cream sauce, cooked to perfection, tender and delicious and not one grain of sand either! We will be back to this nice little restrauant! Loved it!!"

"This small gem of a cafe actually honors a reservation, has a delicious menu of moderately priced delicacies and great service, too! We started with the baked brie and moved on to the sea scallops, pasta of the day and baked salmon; all served with a beautiful assortment of sides. We shared an apple torte for dessert and that was just a delight!"

"Service was mediocre. The server saw we had a groupon and took his time to get to us. Also server spilled a significant amount if red wine on my friends white dress and did nothing but apologize once to remedy the situation. Other than that food was amazing and I definitely plan on going back again!"

"I gave three stars for the service as our waiter was attentive. I believed that my reservation from Open table wasn't honored by the guy from the restaurant. He was the one who met us at the door ( a tall guy with the glasses )I told him that I had an reservation at 6:10 PM for two and I also showed him my reservation number. He asked us to wait outside and then let us in. We were placed at the tiny folding table just beside the normal table. He told me that the only reason we got a table was we had a reservation. There were empty tables with the reserved sign ( empty the whole time we were there ) We will never go back due to the lack of good attitude and the average food."

"The food was good, portions very generous. Service was not great. Friendly, but a lot of waiting to be served. Atmosphere okay, but not at all like a fine restaurant. Not on par with food prices. I'm sure I would probably go back someday, but it isn't at the top of my list."

"Everything about Bistro 1902 was "okay". nothing bad, but nothing memorable. tired decor, friendly but inattentive servers, decent but far from excellent food (overcooked salmon and a mousse that had sat in a refigerator for at least a few days were offset by great bread and a nice salad). i can't recommend the place because everything was mediocre; i wish the Hollywood area housed a truly memorable restaurant, but we went 0-for-3 on this trip."

"Hollywood's modest neighborhood French bistro was overwhelmed by Groupon visitors on a weekday night so maybe another attempt is in order. The service and welcome were amicable and punctual. The food is decent, true continental French but not particularly memorable. Escargot was basic but needed even more garlic; So too the Onion soup. It might be that the lightly burnt baguette turned our tastes! Magret du Canard was rare as requested, but needed seasoning; the vegetables fine and the Alsatian potatoes needed a bit more sharpness, too. The Scallops with an Orange Caramel sauce had little orange and lots of caramel. We rarely salt our fare but we did here. We wonder if the Chef has toned down the food for the local taste? It has potential!"

"Overall dinner was good. The escargot could have had some garlic, it was a little bland. The salmon was delicious and was a large portion. We also had the seafood special which was very tasty and not too creamy."
