"The seasonal menu had just changed on Wednesday and what a treat! The grilled swordfish with escarole and a warm bacon vingerette...fabulous!

"Atmosphere was fair. Sound was terrible. They played tacky 80"s bands like "Men at Work" during dinner and it drove me crazy.. Truthfully, the least ambient choice of music you could possibly imagine. It was also far too hot. A nice place to take your mother )or grandmother) but far from romantic."

"I truly had high expecations for this place given the reviews I had read. Upon first entering the restaurant I was over whelmed by the smell of the oil lamps on the tables. I know that sounds odd but its a VERY small place and there was no air ciculating. It was very distracting. I ended up blowing out candle out for dinner and cracked open a near by window. The filt mignon I orderd was very dry and tough even though I ordered it med and my guests clams were so over cooked she couldnt finish them. Table near by had to return there food as well, over cooked. The staff was lovely and the wine list was great. All in all a poor dinner. Plenty of better places to dine at while visiting the Cape."

"Ambience was pleasant. Service was great. The chicken in my pasta, chix, cream dish was very dry..I sent it back. Ordered the mussels which is like a glorified app since it didn't come with any pasta or anything else. Kind of disappointing. I found the choices limited on the menu since I don't eat red meat or pork. I did enjoy the beet,goat cheese, arugula salad. My partner had the chowder and the butter poached lobster which were both enjoyable. We had eaten there before and really enjoyed it so our expectations were high. Maybe they are cutting corners on wed nites cause of two for one nite. After that experience I don't feel as eager to go back."

"We have eaten at Crowne Pointe many times and the food is always excellent. However, this visit we were dissapointed with the extremely slow and poor service. At one point I asked our waitress for water without ice and she actually made an exasperated noise as if I was asking for something outrageous. That and we had to wait 45 minutes for our food. Dissapointing."

"Bistro at Crowne Pointe was a pleasant surprise. Seating on the all season porch allowed a wonderful "surprise" view of the Pilgrim Monument as night lights switched on. This preceeded a well balanced salad including Blood Oranges, Goat Cheese and the freshest greens. Our Calamari appetizer was battered and fried to perfection. Finally, Baked Cod and Gorganzola-crusted Filet Mignon sated our eager palates. THis was our first visit and we already plan to return."

"Even a bad meal at Crowne Pointe is better than a good meal at most other restaurants! Not that we've ever had a bad meal there. The ambiance of the setting immediately tells you this is going to be a fine dining experience. The pace is slow, the service staff highly professional and the pre-meal experience is like the Overture to a great Opera. Then there's the food! The menu is creative and robust in both its diversity, price and preparation. The food fully lives up to the Menu, and is prepared with the highest degree of skill and presentation. Plates are generous with an ample amount of the focused item. For example I had the seafood risotto and the amount of shrimp, scallops and Cod were bottomless. Every item was superb!"
