"The food was good, I sampled the kids choices. The service was good not great, got some diners drinks confused and missed an item, but made up for it nicely. Have no problem returning, have been there before and it has always been a nice experience. Can get a bit noisy at happy hour."

"I ordered the market price Chilean sea bass and it was as good as expected. The presentation was poor. There was an option to add spinach and crab oping for an additional charge and maybe that competes the plate. I feel for 36.00 the meal should've offered much more."

"The atmosphere is awesome; very modern and a very clean place. The filet mignon I ordered was cooked perfectly and it was the best tasting steak I've had in a long time. The grouper sliders are out of this world good! Service was excellent. Will definitely go back."

"We had the filet and the tempura lobster tails. They cooked the steak extremely well. It was a perfect medium rare. The drinks were creative and delicious. The atmosphere was inviting and it seemed like they had a good crowd for happy hour as well. Overall a great choice for dinner."

"This is the second time I have dined here and it was just as good as the first time. The Walker's Wood Shrimp was succulent. The Chilean Sea Bass simply melts in your mouth, it is that good. I wasn't sure which wine I wanted to drink so the waitress offered me the option of a small tasting of each so I could make a better decision. I like this feature of a restaurant. We enjoyed everything about the experience and will return in the future."

"Even though we went to the wrong location, we sorted that out and ended up at the right one. Tampa South is a preferred location for us since it is larger, wasn't as full and the noise level seemed more reasonable. The restaurant listened to my request for a quiet spot and we were in the best spot in that restaurant for low noise.
The food and service were simply excellent, with only one complaint which is that I don't care for that style of caesar salad. Other than that, it was really terrific."

"I was a bit surprised driving by to note that this place has not one window, but once you walk inside, it's very well laid out and has beautiful lighting fixtures with plenty of light to see. The bar is visually stunning and inviting - great place for a business lunch or special event. A little higher than most places, but everything lived up to my expectation of an above the average restaurant. The new one on South Dale Mabry wasn't crowded at all for lunch - so, if you're in a hurry and want a nice place, this is the place to go."

"The food was great!!!! The service was really bad, I can't tell you how disappointed we were. Dinner was at 7:30 we got there at 7:24 to be seated. First it was the wrong table, no problem we waited for the waitress to take the drink order she did but then she was gone. Another party came in alittle after us, the waitress took their drink order and food order it made no sence to us . How can a table come in after us get served before us. To top it off they couldnt get the food right for the tables or drinks. The waitress didn't remove the glasses from the table . She was bad , maybe she was having a bad day and the service was BAD. We got out at 10:52 way to long . I would say the food was awesome !!!!"

"My steak was overcooked. I was provided a correctly cooked steak (medium rare). When provided, they forgot the fries. They brought me fresh ones. No big deal to me -- it happens. The server first said they would comp my meal after the steak was returned. The manager then comp'd the entire meal and gave us a gift card for another meal after the fries were returned. I was shocked. I didn't ask for it nor did I expect it, but was certainly grateful. Clearly, they are interested in customer happiness and developing a loyal clientele. Very impressive."

"Cool city vibe, but the food doesn't match the price. Shrimp were undercooked for my wife's taste, and when we sent it back- the chef had the waiter let us know that the meal was in fact cooked properly, but they would cook it more for us... When we received the shrimp back, they weren't cooked any more than before. To be fair, the manager promptly took it off the bill. Sorry, too much competition in this segment to go back anytime soon..."

"Great experience at Grille One Sixteen. The waitstaff was attentive and prompt with needs, very good job of anticipating the needs of the tanle. Had the filet and the salmon at the table and both were excellent. The ceviche appitizer was great although was surprised when it came served with chopsticks. Wine list is not the biggest but a good enough variety to get the job done. Will definitely be returning."

"Early reservation on a Saturday night 6:15. The staff was ready to go and we were greeted at the door and taken to our table immediately. The dining room is beautiful and fully open. Our waitress was very friendly and offered helpful suggestions on the menu and specials. We ordered cocktails (somewhat overpriced) and appetizers which when served were excellent and beautifully plated. The entrees were served with panache' and were well presented and prepared. The freshness of the Snapper special was apparent and the flavor balanced. Let your wait staffer twist your arm on the dessert donuts. They are worth the calories. We will return again to Grille One Sixteen."

"I was a bit unimpressed overall. We dined here on Valentines and had a server that was not listening to us regarding the meal and drink requests. The food was good with exception of the asparagus that was ordered well done and came barely cooked. When we brought this to the attention of the server they smiled and said good! With a bottle of wine and a few drinks, we left with a $250 tab and felt we missed out on a big evening we had paid for."

"There is a dress code that I was unaware of but all I needed to do was take my hat off. The food is beyond good, as well as the drinks. You are going to pay more than you're used to for the food but it's well worth it. The food is also served in large portions. There was a hiccup as we had to send a steak back as the wife needs it very well done. Other than that the night was perfect! Highly recommend this place."

"We made a reservation, called 2X to confirm, and the restaurant called us back to confirm a third time. Each time (as in the original reservation) we specified a booth. All confirmations agreed to the booth seating. When we arrived no booth was to be had. I spoke to the manager. At first he was reluctant to honor our reservation, even when I showed him the written confirmation from Opentable. Finally, the manager found a booth to be had in a short time after sitting at the bar for a drink. While waiting for our food the restaurant found ways to make amends for the original fuss. They provided us with a free appetizer, a gift certificate, and superior service. The staff is to be commended for their attentiveness, and forthright correction."
