Grille 116 is a "Freshly Elevated" dining experience from culinary concept, practice, and customer service; wrapped in a "CHIC" and "METROPOLITAN" atmosphere. The menu is "American Contemporary" and extraordinary. All of the steaks are organic and 100% Hormone Free. Our fish is locally caught or flown in to provide you with the freshest seafood available. Grille 116 is large enough to create energy and atmosphere, yet small enough to provide superior food quality and superior service. Try a few of our guest favorites: Our signature pretzel bread-twisted golden brown and steamy from the oven with accompaniments. The bread is irresistible; you"ll need seconds! Cubes of beautiful tuna are laced with chili sauce and piled on delicate fried won tons in Grille 116's tartar. Beef and grouper sliders, perfectly seasoned and incredibly moist, with pickles and fancy mayo transforming the interior of the doughy bun into a glorious combination reminiscent of amped-up White Castles.
"I took my Mother and Father to Grille One Sixteen for Fathers' Day and it was the first time there for both of them. The wait staff seemed to go out of their way to accomodate my parents and made them feel very comfortable and the food, as always, was excellent and I know my parents really enjoyed the whole experience. My husband and I have been coming to this location since it opened for special occasions and holidays and will continue to do so for as long as the restaurant is here. Thank you Grille One Sixteen for yet another pleasant dining experience."

I wanted to share some positive feedback! I always have enjoyed Grille One Sixteen but I think last night was the best ever. Joseph provided exceptional service (as usual) and all 6 of our dinners were outstanding. Please pass my compliments along to your staff to let them know customer really do appreciate their efforts.

"Everything was going great then after the got there - the waiter checked - my husband ordered a second glass of wine and we never saw him again until we asked the bus girl to get him. We might have gotten desert but we just paid and went home. We like this restaurant but that was not a good experience. We will go back."

"I thought the atmosphere of the restaurant was beautiful. yet as soon as I walked in I realized this place was not as classy as I thought. the hostess was wearing a revealing top, very distasteful. then by the bars there were bar waitresses wearing short shorts and plunging tops. it was very offensive. I would have gone to hoot ers if I wanted to see that. basically this restaurant was a glorified hoo ters. I did not expect that. It was very unprofessional compared to what I thought it would be. I contemplated leaving but thankfully our waitress was dressed well. I would recommend professional attire for all instead of trashy uniforms to bring in tips."

"Great high end atmosphere. Menus light up with you when them, so no trying to read the menu in the dark shadows like many other places.
Food is another story. Limited menu, everything is served with french fries and those came super salty. Most look fried or deep fried. With the average price around $30 a plate, one would think there would be something to write home about but no.
Might be a nice place for drinks after work though, but I won't be back."

"Went on Mother's Day with our two teenage sons. Unfortunately, had to wait 30 minutes for a table even though we had a reservation. Sat at the bar to wait and ordered drinks and appetizers. Unfortunately, the first pretzel loaf we ordered was cold and had to send it back. Food quality was good, although a $3.00 upcharge for 3 stalks of asparagus was absurd. Also ordered cabernet mushrooms for my steak, but requested them on the side instead of on the steak (normally a $3.00 upcharge). Was brought as a side for $9.00. I don't mind paying an upcharge for a special item, but 3 stalks of asparagus for $3.00 is ludicrous."

"First time here - my boyfriend and I brought our mothers for Mother's Day. Our meal was fantastic. I had the Sea Bass topped with crab and spinach and I ate every morsel. It was $230 for 4 people... that included 2 glasses of wine, one appetizer (Tuna tartar... amazing), and 4 dinner entrees. Pricey for us, but def a good special occasion place. Ambiance is great, very pretty inside."

"I have been to Grille 116 a number of times, so I made reservations for my Dad and me when he came in town for a visit. The food us always good, but what stood out was the exceptional service. The staff work as a team, making sure that water glasses are never empty and dishes are cleared after each course immediately. Everyone is friendly, from the hostesses and wait staff to the managers. Unlike many restaurants where you never see a manager in sight, there were two on this particular evening and both were attentive to the customers and to their staff. This is a well managed establishment and it shows."

"Don't order the "fried Grouper sandwich". I'm a Florida native and I know the difference between fresh grouper and fried Cod. The fish was greasy and soggy and I would have gone to Long John Silvers if I wanted greasy fish & chips. Have been looking forward to trying this place for some time now. All of the pictures online look very cool and the menu is interesting. It all ended there. Won't go back."

"Great ambiance with contemporary modern decor. It is the perfect place for a nice evening out with friends or a special occasion. The food was excellent and portions were moderate. It gets a bit pricey by the time you add side dishes and toppings for the steak, but the side dishes are enough to share. Our waiter was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The first thing we were impressed with was the menu. The menu lights up as soon as you open it. No reading glasses necessary! Definitely save room for dessert, and try the freshly made donuts."

"The service was the finest I have experienced! The manager as well as the hostesses "Snow" and "Kendal" were gracious and accomodating, granting every request to make my wifes birthday a memorable experience. Our server, "Joseph" was on his game and was outstanding! Great sense of humor and very helpful, taking special care of our every request. Unfortunately, there was a "guest" behaving like a 4 year old. Saying he was "making a scene" is waaaay too nice! My only regret is that I didn't bend him over my knee and spank him like the deserving little baby he was. The staff at Grille One Sixteen in Carrollwood is too good to be treated like that! Even if it's a "paying" customer. Which I'm sure this sorry S.O.B. didn't pay his tab."

"The food was very good. The ambiance is very romantic, but possibly too dark. The food was very well prepared, although my wifes steak was not prepared properly for a (medium rare) and my friends steak asked for medium was more very red and almost a rare. Overall the food was prepared and presented well, other than the steak preps.
The servers could do better in describing the entrees/specials/side orders because there was cream/cheese sauce on some vegetables that we would have asked for it on the side had we known it was prepared that way. The menu doesn't describe it, so the servers need to prepare better."

"Lovely, real find. We all had great food. Liked the choices. Only issue was my salmon was a bit over cooked as I ordered it med, rare, wet in the middle. It was cooked go light pink throughout. I did not send back as tasted ok."

"Awesome. First timers this past Friday. It's such a treat to go into a place that is well managed and has given such attention to detail. Food was outstanding, service second to none. Worth the drive from Pasco....we'll be back."

"Love the place. Two things, requested a booth on my reservation, made the reservation early evening in hopes of getting the booth. We arrived on time, and confirmed our reservation that morning with a hostess. Needless to say we did not get a booth when seated. I asked the hostess that we had requested a booth, she said the had already been reserved. Now I would not have a issue with that comment, except several booths, remained unoccupied while we ate our dinner and left. On arrival we parked and a valet person told us we could not park there, they had already had several spots marked for valet."

"We have been to Grille 116 approximately 10 times in the past 12 months and it never fails to impress. We usually opt for a dinner reservation, but being Valentines Day, we wanted to avoid a crowded place so we reserved 2pm.
Once again, our server was Matt. He had taken care of us about two weeks earlier and his wine recommendation had been spot on. This time he recommended the ribeye sandwich, which was delicious. He has definitely proven to be well-acquainted with the menu & wine list and we take his recommendations seriously.
We will definitely be back soon!"

"We dined at Grille One Sixteen awhile back and were very impressed, so we were excited to return. Unfortunately, our experience this time was marginal. The food wasn't "bad", but a very far cry from the delicious meal we had on our first trip. We don't mind paying more for a great meal, but this was far from that. The Caesar salad was bland with barely a drizzle of dressing, the rib-eye was chewy with quite a bit of gristle ( I couldn't finish mine and chose not to bring the rest home ), and the garlic potatoes didn't have much flavor. The best thing about the entire meal was the desert. We're still deciding whether we'd give it another chance or not ..."
