"We had a wonderful Mother's Day lunch here. The French Onion soup was the best we ever had. I would not recommend the buckwheat crepes as they are bitter, but the croque monsieur was awesome. The macaroons were good too. Very authentic. Our waitress was from France."

"Nice place to meet for lunch in East Lib. Was not too crowded, we ate on the back patio on a lovely day. I had a spinach and mushroom Galette, which was good but not great. But I plan to go back to explore the menu and give it a second shot."

"I looked at the menu on opentable as well as the restaurants own site. I even checked to see if it was going to be a specific menu due Mother's Day. There were no indications so I booked a table. When we arrived, it was a limited brunch menu even though it was 3pm. My family was not interested in anything on the menu but they knew I was so they ordered French toast. My husband would not eat his because it was too sweet but I liked it. I got the quiche and it was over cooked and hard to eat. Maybe I would try again on a dinner menu but not with my family."

"It was our first time dining here and we will return. We are in the service industry, so are pretty critical of our food and service, and this restaurant was more than up to our standards. Even as the only diners on a late Spring Monday night, we had great service and our food was paced to our liking. The meal was delicious and the wine list offered a great variety of reds, whites, and blends. The price was good for the quality of food as well."

"Low key exquisite restaurant with French servers some of whom have an incredible knowledge of the French wines. The food is superb and plentiful. Service is friendly, the gentlemen who served us made us feel right at home. This was the 3rd time we've eaten at Paris 66 and have been completely satisfied every time."

"We appreciated relative quiet (except when trains passed on track behind the restaurant), and pleasant atmosphere. My friend was happy with her musssels and shrimp appetizer, but my chicken basquaise served in a bowl with steep, slanted sides and a small bottom made it hard to separate the meat from the bones without moving it to the plate (removing the paper doily first - so not intended for this purpose). The drumsticks sticking out of the bowl were cold, so were cooked before, but not reheated; they were tough.I would never serve so many bones to a dinner guest. The chef should bone the cooked chicken and return it to the flavorful mixture of vegetables. For a French restaurant, a poor result. The macaroons are delicious."

"We had an early reservation. Our waiter was genuinely sweet and caring. He seems to be just learning English, so there was a little confusion in ordering/communicating, but he was so charming about it that we didn't care. Our only complaint would be that, once the restaurant started to get busy, the greasy smelling smog from the cooking grill filled the restaurant. This was very unpleasant and made breathing difficult."

"We had an 11:30am lunch reservation...ordered from the specials of the day menu...the wait for first course..a quiche...was over 20 min. Not busy, the waiter was beyond weak...the quiche was just being baked..so it was ready at 11:55, we had to tell him our choice of dessert when we ordered, yet it took another 25 minutes after our plates were cleared to get our crepes..wait for 10 min for coffee warm up...and to add insult to injury, our cash change looked like it was just pulled out of his front pocket, hot and wrinkled. I have never given a bad review for anything before..but I had brought a friend for her birthday lunch and I was so disappointed... We left at 1:15...as soon as we could. One hour and forty five min for an ok lunch.."

"Paris 66 is one of the most enjoyable neighborhood restaurants. It is quite authentic but not at all pretentious. The food is very good and the ambiance is truly reminiscent of a French cafe. We had the Poulet-Roti which was wonderful - nice and juicy but with a crisp skin.
The pastries are excellent, especially the macaroons which are amazingly authentic and as good as the best you can find in Paris or Geneva."

"This is my second time at Paris 66 - the first time was strictly for coffee and dessert.
I booked reservations for Easter and to bring my family that was visiting from the NE area. I thought it was a neat place to take them since I remembered the environment to be simple and to get a feel for going somewhere ethnic vs. your basic restaurant scene with TV's and loud noise.
They were very busy and the only issue I had was that we waited for our food for a really long time and then by the time I received my order, it was actually the wrong plate and I had to wait another 15 minutes for the correct one to come out. I have worked in the restaurant business, so I totally get it and understand, especially during a holiday rush."

"Ordered a steak medium well, specified no red. Others at table were served then my dish came out last. The steak was tough and cool. There was herb butter on top that was still solid without melting. I sent it back. The dish came out and was luke warm and tough, but now the frites were cool. Since our party was going to the theater, I advised the waiter but didn't have time to send it back.
Service was good, as was the rest of the food, but this was not what I expected from a nice restraurant which we have been to any times before."

"The ambience is great for a Francophile. Unfortunately the food and service don't always measure up. The order got mixed up and was slow arriving. This time the food was still excellent, but the experience was spoiled by mediocre to bad service and an overwhelming aroma of nearly-burned garlic throughout the dining room--particularly off-putting during dessert. I'll give them one more try in hopes we get a better server and they fix their kitchen exhaust system. The food is really very good and it's such a cute place we'd hate to have to scratch it off our list."

"I wanted a new restaurant to try for my husbands birthday and i was looking for a french restaurant to try after eating at some good french restaurants in Key West, Florida. Paris 66 was recommended to me so I researched it on opentable. After reading the reviews and checking out the menu we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. The atmosphere was good even though they really pack the tables in but after we squeezed in it turned out to be enough room. Our waiter Tim was great! They were so busy with everyone scurrying around but the wait staff seemed to do their jobs with ease and attentiveness. Our food was done to perfection but, don't leave without trying the desserts!"

"The food and service was outstanding. The mussels in garlic sauce appetizer was among the best we have had. Both the goat cheese ravioli and seared tune were so good that we could not decide which we liked better. The only downside was the heat. Despite it being winter the restaurant was very warm when we got there and as more people came it became hot. It was so hot that I had to leave the restaurant to cool down outside. Will be back but will be in short sleeves even in winter."

"This was a great experience!!! We are Francophiles and loved that there was a lot of French spoken.. Truly an authentic Bistro experience for us!!!! The waiter was awkward though and the service was a little choppy... Not a big complaint but noticeable.. Food was great ..Tables were very close together--closer than you would find in a French Bistro and some groups were noisy but thats just Americans! Merci"

"My boyfriend and I went to Paris 66 for Valentine's Day and overall it was a great experience. I gave the ambience 4/5 since the door was propped open for much of the night, to cool off the kitchen, no doubt, but this also created an icy breeze directly at our table. We also had to ask the server for bread, and for some reason, the kitchen took longer on our order than those who were seated after us. Our server did apologize but offered no explanation--a bit of a surprise on a fixed-price menu, for a meal costing $300+ after tip. Despite these issues, the experience was most pleasant, and I am returning on 3/9 to bring my mother to lunch. I have faith that I won't be disappointed!"

"After 2o minutes of waiting in the cold outdoor room in the back, we were told that the valentine brunch specials that we ordered could not be made. After reordering another 30 minutes go by, and the room got colder. When my breakfast salad arrived the eggs were overcooked and cold. The waiter seemed clueless and did not offer any compensation for our poor experience.
We have had better experiences in the past, so we will likely try them again, but that will be their last chance to begin changing our minds about the place."

"service was awful; knew we were in trouble when we sat down and had to wait 20 minutes before requested glass of wine was delivered. Long lapses between appetizer and entrée; requested 2nd glass of wine, not delivered to table & had to ask when glass of wine was coming-was not a busy night & would have expected much more attention to the table. No one in our party was particularly happy with any of the entrees, but I'll speak specifically for mine which was calf's liver-I wondered why I was not asked when ordering how I wanted the liver done, which for my tastes is medium rare. The liver was so overcooked that I had to ask for a steak knife to cut thru; the crepe appetizer was very disappointing-filled a dinner plate & was tasteless"

"Seated in the enclosed outside section. It was freezing. Every time someone came in or left I was hit with a gust of freezing air. They were busy but had many available tables not so close to the exit. My wife's salmon was just OK, but my flat iron steak, was ordered med. well to well, it was red on the inside and cold on the one side! Chefs do not like to prepare meat well done or close to it, but this beef could have been saved if I knew how to perform CPR! Since I'm the one paying for the steak, it should be prepared to my taste, not the chef's. Won't be going back. Had Brunch here and enjoyed the experience!"
