Piatto Grille was started with a few very simple philosophies in mind: to provide fresh, affordable and “culinarily-interesting” cuisine while maintaining the comfort aspect that so many hold so dear. To strip away the pretense that one finds at many of the fusion BYOB's, and to turn customers into critics one plate at a time, by stimulating their palates and challenging their ideas of the food they have grown up with. We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction and strive to exceed the expectations of our guests. There are thousands of restaurants that our customers can choose from - and they frequently return to a place out of convenience, and rote. Even fewer still, are restaurants that wow with their food and service; but often customers see as too fancy for everyday eating. Piatto Grille aims to bridge that gap - to have remarkable food and service while creating a comfortable atmosphere that recalls the traditional meals where family gathered, and good times were had.
"Had a good Mother's Day brunch. Folks at the omelette and waffle table were very friendly and what they made was very good. Brought our own champagne for Mimosa's, so got a pitcher of orange juice. Waiters were just OK, gave us plastic water glasses for our Mimosa's, while wine glasses would have been nice. But there was another young girl who came around frequently to check on each table and she was very friendly. Chef came out and stopped by each table, which I thought was nice. Would like to go back for dinner, just to get a well rounded experience, as the reviews I've read have been good. No real complaints, thought it was a solid brunch."

"Of all the restaurants we've booked through Open Table, this was the absolute worst. The food was, at best, mediocre and the service was absolutely abyssmal. I would never go back nor recommend this restaurant to anyone."

"I took my wife here for the Mother's Day brunch (last minute reservation via OpenTable). It's a relatively small place, but the food, although limited in variety, was excellent. Serving staff was very attentive throughout the meal; the hostess was very friendly and took the time to chat with us as we were leaving.
I definitely recommend Piatto Grille."

"Food was very good, service was excellent, bassett's ice cream for dessert was fab especially the coffe with chocolate ..i forget what it was called but it was delish. I enjoyed the bit of heat in the marguerita pizza. Mussles were excellent and offered with different sauces..portions were very generous. Will come again."

"Everything was very good, however, even though other tables seem to be getting good service we did not find that to be true at our table. No bread was brought out until we were there a good 20 minutes even though a waitress came over to our table as soon as we were seated. We ordered appetizers and 2 came out in good time but the other 2 were not brought out for a while. I am not sure why. Waitress was pleasant probably she was just new."

"The food was delicious - fresh, plentiful and flavorful. Our waiter was attentive and helpful. The restaurant was full but we had reservations and were seated promptly. I sat on a banquette but my husband found his chair very uncomfortable. That was the only drawback."

"owner/chef is charming and very eager to please. Staff is pleasant and I've been lucky enough to have Teresa wait on the table on both occasions. Mussels are a must! Plump and delicious. next time, I'll try the Thai mussels. My entree this time was lovely as it was the last time. the Pork Osso Bucco will be my choice on my next visit---so tender and tasty, and the presentation was impressive. BYOB makes it very affordable and, it is easy to get near Route 476/turnpike for my friends who live in Berwyn and Wayne. Luckily, I live a few miles away from it. Evelyn O."

"We found PIatto Grille by accident and once I began reading customer reviews I wasted no time in calling for a reservation. The food was terrific and Chef Gavin's interaction with diners was much appreciated. This is a real neighborhood find and we expect many repeat visits with equally enjoyable meals. I've already recommended it to friends who had the same reaction. Caveat: Be hungry or expect to bring food home because the portions are quite large. My husband & I ordered appetizer-sized portions as we're small eaters."

"What fantastic service -- called in advance to book a business luncheon and they were incredibly accommodating -- the chef himself ensured all our needs were met. The staff even offered to turn off the music for us. Will definitely return."

"This is a BYOB which is why we chose Piatto Grille. We went on a weeknight which may explain why it was very quiet. The server was wonderful and the chef came to the table and spoke with us. The food was very average, the portions fairly small, and the pricing rather high. We have no real complaints and no regrets, but would not go back."

"Found this restaurant on Urban Spoon while searching for a place to meet friends coming from a different direction. Reasonable, quiet, NOT A FRANCHISE, good food. Though they have mainly pasta, menu showed fish, meat, and kid friendly choices. It was hard to spot even with GPS since it's a nondescript store front. Though having a restaurant in a store front can limit decor, it was very pleasant within those limitations, and had cloth napkins & tablecloths. We would go out of our way to eat there if we are in the Conshohoken area again."

"I made the mistake of asking the waitstaff for a recommendation. The main course was horrible; it was as if I was eating at a state fair. Nonetheless, the appetizer was delicious. I would give this restaurant another try."

"The appetizer mussels was really great, the mozzarella cheese pretty bad. The dinners were large but not very good. Too much sage in the gnocchi, meatballs under cooked, strombolli looked more like a calzone and just okay."

"The food was not only delicious and portions plentiful, but the selections were many. We had mussels that were outstanding. The waitress was helpful and gracious and the owner came to our table several times to make certain we were comfortable. He made us feel like we were his only customers and it was obvious that he greatly enjoyed his work. The ambience is quiet and lovely and relaxing, looking more like upscale dining than a local neighborhood spot. We'll definitely go back and bring our friends."

"While the food was good, the staff left a lot to be desired. The service was pretty bad (and that's being nice). It took forever to get ANY attention from the server to get anything (greeting, drinks, place our order, butter for the bread, drink refills, the check, etc.). Food took way too long to come out, especially considering that when we arrived there were only 3 other tables in the dining room. There was a "Now Hiring" sign in the window. When we asked the host (who, by the way, could use a smile) what positions were available, his response was only to indicate a new dishwasher was needed... how about a new host, wait staff and bus staff? Soooo disappointing..."

"Great BYOB! Very accommodating to anyone who requires a gluten free meal. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. The restaurant itself used to be a pizza place and still looks like one, but other than that it was excellent!"

"We enjoyed a very tasty dinner at Piatto Grille. It is a small restaurant off Ridge Pike, so watch for the stand alone sign in a shopping center. Service was very attentive. Cannot comment on the overall menu as we used the limited Valentine's Day menu."

"This was our first time at this restaurant and while the food was good the service was a little weak. This may have been because it was Valentine's Day. We will definitely try it again."

"This is a very good restaurant where a customer can order a variety of well-prepared, nicely served dishes ranging from pizza to fish to chicken to steak. Little touches like delicious fresh Italian bread served with a homemade red pepper blush sauce make the meal special. Not expensive, BYOB, friendly, professional service, always a pleasure. Even when crowded, it's never too noisy."

"This was our first time with the new owner and we were very pleasantly surprised. We both had fish which was cooked perfectly and not drowned in sauce. The chef/owner brought out our meals and checked back if everything ws ok. We will be back."
