"We were just looking to grab the fastest and simplest thing we could find in Towson, especially as some of our guests didn't have the most adventurous tastes. What we got at the Townson Tavern was surprisingly good and imaginative food for those who wanted it, and simply stand-bys for those who wanted that. The service couldn't have been friendlier. I highly recommend this place if you're in Tavern looking for anything from a burger to a gourmet meal."

"Ate here for Mother's Day. Hadn't been for awhile, and when we got there we wondered why we hadn't. Michael, the GM, is truly gifted at what he does. He remembered us and made sure we were treated well. Our waitress was very friendly and good. The food was exceptional. MD Cream of Crab was full of big pieces of crab and subtle flavors. My husband's tenderloin was outstanding. My daughter loved her chicken, and my tuna was divine. Thanks to the restaurant for contributing to a perfect Mother's Day! We won't stay away so long this time."

"The cream of crab soup is a decadent treat! Beware if you get it it's large but yummy. The caprese chicken was very tender and flavorful, the side salad made it very refreshing. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and quick to refill drinks."

"The food was excellent. This was the first time that my group of six was in agreement with that conclusion. Since we did go there in a Friday night it was rather noisy due to the happy hour crowd. Our waiter was fantastic."

"We were really looking forward to our meal and we ended up very disappointed. Our server was much more interested in watching baseball/basketball on TV than serving us. The food was bland, nothing at all special. Then when it came time to get our car the valet was complaining about how far he had to run to retrive our car because the owner would not pay extra to let them park the cars closer. Not at all what we had hoped for."

"This was our fourth visit to Towson Tavern. I'm still waiting for them to serve better tasting bread. Our most recent experiences was good. We're not that into all of the odd side dishes that accompany most of the entrees (for the most part we didn't even know what they were). Everyone in our party substituted the menu-stated side dish with garlic mashed potatoes. We were there on a Saturday night, and our server was very busy so we kept having to flag down our server or a passing employee to get drink refills."

"This was our fourth visit to the Towson Tavern but our first for lunch. Dinner and happy hour have been great experiences and lunch was no exception. The tuna tartar was phenomenal just as our server Nick described it and the colossal crab salad really lives up to its name, a colossal amount of crab. We were on our lunch break and we were able to have a great meal with time to spare. Michael (the general manager) has really done a fine job of making this restaurant a new local favorite of ours. Amazing food, amazing service, keep up the great work."

"Surprisingly upscale w/ the "Tavern" name. While there is a nice bar/tavern area, the dining side has wide booths & could even be considered elegant.
We've dined there twice for dinner and have been pleased both times, with both the food & Tori's service.
