"This was our first experience at 13 Moons and we were not disappointed. We spent an hour at the bar enjoying the last of happy hour - the cocktails and commeraderie with the bartenders were very good. Once seated at a window table we enjoyed the wine the bartendar recommended and a delicious meal. My husband had the menu burger, which was amazing, and I had the marsala pork chop - outstanding! The view is lovely and I loved the huge wine glasses - makes a girl feel like a princess. We will definitely be back."

"Went for Mothers Day breakfast, the menu was very limited and while the entrees were interesting probably wouldn't order again.We would more likely return for dinner or lunch as that appears to be a better choice. Would also return for the outside dining to enjoy the view and massive fireplace seating."

"A very good addition to the area. They have been open just over a year and have got the kinks out. On Mothers Day, we had salmon, halibut, and steelhead and I tasted each one. All were cooked just as ordered and were excellent in taste and freshness. They also brought wine samples for a couple wines we didn't recognize so we could decide what to order. A nice touch. The waitress was fully informed about every dish and where the fish were caught. The view of Fidalgo Bay is very good to dine by. (If you can stand the cold, the outdoor dining faces the bay. We stayed inside. The view from inside is just as good through the big windows.)
Went to the bar later. It had a nice ambience."

"Have been wanting to try 13Moons for a while after hearing it was good. Not sure what happened but we weren't impressed. First the size of our party changed(fewer people) and I repeatedly tried to call over and let them know but no one ever answered the phone. Service is slow and loud. Very limited menu which in turn made us hope that they had truly perfected what they do serve, not the case. Food is boring, little flavor or imagination. Server was flighty and blamed it on being there since 9 a.m.(we had 5:15 reservations). very slow, bill was incorrect (charged for dessert) paid bill. about 10 minutes later another restaurant worker came and said our server wanted to know if we wanted change, very annoying!"

"The most excellent food! Best in Anacortes! Great view! My only complaint was the strong smoke smell. Will be reluctant to eat in the dining room again because it was uncomfortable. Need glass doors between casino and restaurant and a good filtration systems upstairs. Even ionizers left on over night would be good."

"I ate halibut, it was cooked to perfection. My mother had the fresh Chinook Salmon. It was cooked over an alder wood grill. It is as close to Traditionally Cooked as it gets. If you want the freshest seafood, don't waist time trying to figure out where you want to eat. Take my advice, eat at "13moons". A constantly changing menu according to the seafood harvest. For the meat eaters, there is always a fantastic steak, also cooked on over alder wood flame. You can watch your food being cooked in the exhibition kitchen."

"Ladies night out. They were able to accomodate us last minute on a Saturday night. It's a lovely restaurant, wonderful outdoor dining in the summer. Great cesaer salad wonderful scallops, last trip had the pork chop, it was wonderful as well. The only issue is the room is rather loud. For the older crowd it may be hard to hear everyone at your table."

"The 13 Moons restaurant is set on Padilla Bay and offers a great view of that bay and islands. The food is very good with nice sized portions and good presentations. The servers are attentive but not too much so. The wine list is good, but not outstanding. The steamed mussels are a favorite appetizer of ours and are consistently excellent. The steaks were cooked exactly as ordered and the Steelhead trout, if available, is excellent."

"Food was good, service was adequate; we had split billings at table and took the waitress a couple of times to get it straight. I think if she was more patient upfront and understood who was on who's bill she would've got it straight the first time. Service took to long, from ordering to getting food, to order desert and billing.
Again the food was great, atmosphere was very nice; the restaurant has great potential, but I think the service could've been better. It also took awhile to make my reservations; need a person who solely focuses on taking phone calls and making reservations. The first impression is always your best chance to make your patrons experience great."

"Excellent restaurant!! Went there for a double date. The dinner rolls are excellent. The boys ordered the steak and us girls got the seafood fettuccine. The fettuccine was very good, but the steak was FABULOUS!! The merlot demi glace that comes with the steak is very tasty, but this steak didn't need a single thing to enhance it.
The waitress was very friendly, professional and timely in refreshing drinks, bringing out courses, bussing the table, etc.
We had originally picked 13 Moons because we were coming from Mount Vernon and the other couple was coming from Anacortes and 13 Moons is in the middle.
We will definitely return!"

"Came on a week night for a birthday celebration. The restaurant is beautiful, the local seafood was amazing. Only got 3 stars on service because our waitress mixed up not one but two items and we felt a little rushed with no time to read through the wine or dinner menu. The chef was a little heavy-handed with the horseradish that night, but the balance of the meal was very good."

"We had spent 120 dollars for dinner. We order scallop wrapped beacon it was outstanding. The scallops were wonderful . We got our salads and were just okay. My husband had the ribeye and it was well done and asked for medium and asparagus was cold and mashpototes were cooked last week I think. I ordered a fil and it came out like shoe leather. "We enjoy this restaurant and returned for a specific menu item; the Dungeness Macaroni and Cheese. It was as wonderful as remembered.
I had an entree salad on my mind, but when it came I couldn't believe it was the same one I had ordered a few months ago. I complained and the waitress graciously removed it and offered to replace it with another menu item. She did not charge us for the original order or the replacement order. We left feeling satified with the service and the food."

"We were there for a quiet date night. And there was a large party that came in...16 people. there was not enough room for that large of a party...the wait staff was running around trying to accommodate for this large party it was hard to enjoy our dinner with tables being moved and chairs being moved. It was very distracting. Then all of the people started walking in before their table was ready and just stood there. I figure it could have been more organized but it looked like they were last minute or more people than expected... Little annoying...but the food was out of this world!! We would def come back in hopes that the 16 top was not there!!"

"The atmosphere of 13moons is just right. You are so close to the noise and fun of a very enjoyable casino but just a few steps away, welcomed to a beautiful restaurant with a fabulous view. Our server was great and I'm really glad she recommended the special of cashew encrusted cod as it was delicious. Actually, we can't wait until the weather is a little better as we want to try the outdoor dining with that great view and fireplace!"

"First thing we noticed walking in was that it was smoky. Next the manager/host looked like a customer. In fact he wasn't standing at the host booth and we were surprised when he came over to greet us.
Manager/host and wait staff could dress up a bit. Kind of takes away from a possible fine dining experience.
Wait for service was excessively long. Over 10 mins for our first contact with the wait staff and it wasn't even our waitress. When our waitress did come around she was very pleasant. But she came around so infrequently it was annoying. Took an excessive time for salads/main course. My food was barely warm. Despite the slow service, the food was very good and the wine pours were generous. Not recommended due to slow service & smok"

"We choose to dine at 13 Moons when we wisha quiet non-smoky restaurant at the casino. The food presentation is a delight!
We try to select a different menu each time.
The salads are okay.
The seafood dinner is too small a portion. But the mussels hors deouvres order is a sufficient portion.
The steak is good. The chicken fetuccini has too light of a sauce. However the clam fetuccini has a too spicy sauce(for my tolerance for spice.
One time the bread was hard and kind but lately it was just right.
We have been to the breakfast buffet sometime in September 2012 and it was excellent.
We need more variety in the menu. We hope you serve breakfast too."

"Our first visit to 13Moons was fantastic! We found the entrees to be very reasonably priced and the ambience was enjoyable. My husband ordered the pork chop and he has never tasted a pork chop that good before. I thoroughly enjoyed the Cioponni seafood soup. Being from Surrey, British Columbia, it is a long drive for us just to come for dinner. However, we will definitely look forward to dining at 13Moons the next time we stay at the hotel."
