"Table mostly ordered burgers. The waiter never came back to see if they were cooked ok or to bring us ketchup. We waited & waited, never saw him again & eventually asked a busboy for service. We needed ketchup & lemons for our water. Of course at the end he showed up to give us a check & get a tip. The busboy should of gotten our tip for great service."

"I was excited about eating @ Max's Grille in Boca and drove 45 minutes to get there. I had a 3pm reservation. I was disappointed because the menu I was given was a brunch menu. I asked the waitress for the regular menu she said "Not until 5pm" When I went to order the brunch she said "Brunch is over, you can only have these few selected items". Disappointed on Mother's Day, I asked for a pomegranate martini and she said they did not have any. Disappointing again! Then I had to ask for bread because she never gave us any. Surprisingly at no time did a manager walk around to ask how everything was, especially since it was Mother's Day. Although the service was not up to my expectations, my meal, the chicken pillard was very good."

"we used to be avid MAX patrons but have not been there for many years
We were there at 5pm on a Sunday so they turn their staff at 5pm and lets say the transition was not smooth
Food was not particularly good - not bad - just nothing special
The only way I can express this is my mother who takes home anything left at any restaurant - didn't want anything

"Reservations were made and outside seating was requested. When we arrived, they said the reservation automatically bounces to indoor seating "in case there is bad weather". They said we should have called. Had we called, wouldn't the chance of "bad weather" be the same? They were very rude. Will never make reservations on Open Table again and will never eat at Max's again."

"The environment is good, especially if you have out of town visitors. The food was disappointing. Caesar salad was flat and tasteless with a sprinkling of Parmesan taste-alike. The fried calamari was very thin, over breaded and dry. I was really upset when we were served a bottle of wine that had clearly turned sour from over aging.
I am disappointed because I used to like Max's Grille for its satisfactory food and pleasant location."

"When we go to Boca from Boston, Max's Grille is always on the list of restaurants to go to for the special occasions. This time it was our 21st anniversary. At first they wanted to seat us in the middle of one of their indoor rooms. My husband doesn't hear very well and even though I didn't mention it to them when I made the reservation, they were very helpful and willing to move us to a quieter place. Everything else was as always, wonderful."

"made my reservation in advance but we did not have the offer of a decent table. When we passed a table with room for six and not real tight we were told that table was reserved. Well, I reserved a table also. The first table offered was so tight that you couldn't pull out the chair because of the other table next to it. We ended up in the back in a booth for 6 people and it was tight for us all evening. Food was very good as always."

"Enjoyed an early dinner here with my sister and Mom. My Mom's Mahi Mahi entree was delicious; appetizers and lettuce wraps delicious. They did offer the select 3 courses for the price of the entree since we were dining before 6 pm. Good deal if you want a complete meal. Our waiter was nice but young and talked very fast, a common problem with today's generation. Noise level was high by the time we left at 6:30. Outside dining is popular here. Also a happening lunch place."

"This is the ony restaurant that has survived since Mizner Park was built in the early 90's, because the food is consistently good and the prices are acceptable. Our party of 6 was promptly seated. We had early reservations because we were going to a performance there. We all ordered the 3 course special, offered from 5 to 6 pm, which includes a bottle of house wine for every 2 meals ordered. We all liked our meals, and the wine was surprisingly ok. It was a great deal although we don't usually dine that early. This restaurant is our old standby for Mizner Park, and continues to maintain quality food & service. They never disappoint."

"A group of 10 in town for a friends wedding had a great pre-ceremony brunch at Max's. Great food, fairly prompt service (at least by south Florida standards) and well made drinks. The brunch menu isn't huge but had somethings for everyone, plus they let you order off the lunch menu."

"Lovely outdoor setting. Have been there several times. What happened we ordered appetizers . Order was taken by waiter. When they arrived mine was the lettuce wraps - wonderful. My husband ordered tomato soup. Server dropped it off and left we looked for the waiter/and or server did not see them so my husband ate the mushroom soup that was brought. Also, we went at 5pm and were suppose to get wine which never showed. Maybe because I had a cosmopolitan. When the waiter returned and we told him he said that the mushroom soup was better anyway. Should have been us to determine. Our main courses were good and we will go back again and be on our toes"

"I was unhappy even before I arrived die to the miserable parking situation. I could have waited in line (about six cars ahead of me) to give the car to a valet, but previous experience tells me I should park my car myself. But areas of the garage I have used in the past were taken over by the valet folks and it was a nightmare trying to park. This will keep me away in the future. The place itself is fun and has quite good food. Our server did not put herself out on the one or two requests we made such as seeing if the food for the kids could come out quickly."
