"My wife and I took good friends for dinner. We were seated right away on the outside patio. The ambiance is quite a change from the previous owner, The owner (Mitch) has done much to upgrade the restaurant and it shows! The menu is an eclectic mix of Asian/Sushi and more traditional fare, all good. Our server was very knowledgeable and recommend entrée favorites of his. The food was excellent, with great taste and presentation. The sommelier was on top of things as well, and we enjoyed a couple of excellent wines. We are "foodies" and have found a new "Fav" in the desert.
Keep up the good work Mitch.... See you again soon!!!"

"Salad had no dressing, sad that a sushi chef with a lot of training has to make mediocre sushi rolls

"Walking in, there is no hostess station to greet you so we kind of drifted into the place until we turned the corner and saw the hostess. I told her we had requested outdoor seating if it was a available. My husband and I had to laugh later because instead of just saying she would look into it, she made a point of telling us she would have to "check with Mitch." 3 times she said it. Ok we take it nothing happens until the Namesake gives a nod. Luckily "Mitch said it was ok to seat you outside." Oh glory be. Food was good, but I will say Mitch obviously has been cracking the whip on the servers because they were outstanding. Other reviews claim slow but service has definitely stepped up because we had no issue at all."

"Service was a little off but the food and the setting are top notch. Our table had the Dover sole which was excellent. The ahi I was told was good but not great. The rack of lamb I was told was very good as was the bone in ribeye. The appetizer took forever to arrive but was good. Very pricey."

"This is a beautiful restaurant with great food and unsurpassed service. Perfect for al fresco dining outside. Food was fantastic! The Scottish Salmon and Dover Sole were prepared just right. "The foods were good (but I think that it's a bit overpriced), the service was OK, but the waiting time was so bad. We have ordered our foods and waited, waited for nothing but a piece of bread and butter. I don't what's wrong, but next table to us were complaining about the wait."

"This is a new venue with REALLY good food. Our waiter was terrific, but his support team was, shall we say..in training. Took forever to have our wine served, with several weak excuses (the white wine was decanting??). The wine should come before the main courses. You could just tell the staff weren't in sync. But it all came together eventually and the food was great. Will definitely come back and hope that lessons will be learned by then."

"Sat outside at the open bar which was quite pleasant. Started with the mussels which tasted off and quite fishy. Decided not to eat them but was not asked why or if there was anything they could do and did not take them off the bill at the end of the night. Sushi was good but nothing special. Sliders were alright. Servers seemed very preoccupied and therefore not that attentive. Sometimes even felt rushed to make a decision or that we were making a poor choice in their opinion. All and all just didnt feel that it lived up to the hype nor felt like a valued customer. Given the many choices in the desert, would choose other restaurants any day over Mitch's."

"Three of us had a delicious dinner at Mitch's two nights ago. We each started with the Caesar salad which was very good. I had the Ahi Tuna and the other two had the salmon. They were excellent. The service was also great. Pleasant and right on it yet without hovering. Desert was the chocolate lava cake and bread pudding. Wonderful! We sat outside on the patio with the misters on and were very comfortable temperature wise. The view was lovely as well. I highly recommend Mitch's!"

"A cousin recommended Mitch's to us, and she was not wrong! What a great assortment of appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts. I ordered the beef tenderloin, and it was, without a doubt, the most tender I have ever had. Mitch was on hand to welcome us and wish us a wonderful anniversary celebration. "The outdoor setting is just beautiful at night--a little difficult to see our food though so perhaps the table candles could be a little brighter! There were lights built into the menus though, which was a nice touch.
Overall we really enjoyed every minute--and we had two young boys (tweens) with us and they loved it too! It's a treat to find such a lovely place for dinner."

"This was our first visit and it did not leave a welcoming impression or a desire to go back soon. After making a reservation on OpenTable, I called the restaurant to request outdoor seating. When we arrived, we ended up being the only group sat indoors in a corner booth (party of 3), although the walk-in party before us was seated outdoors. Our waitress was not pleased that her assistant had not brought water, even though she had been to the table three times. The waitress and management did accommodate our request to address the room temperature by turning on the air conditioning. The mussels were great - and reasonably priced; the ahi and pork were Ok, but not worth the high price. Good wine."

"I am sorry not to be able to choose any selrction from the above. I had out of town company and was lookibg forward to dining at Mitch's. It was terrible. really terrible from the service to the food. My one and only time to go there. There are to many really good dinning place in the valley to ever return to this place. I would not recommend Mitch's to anyone."

"My husband and I went to Mitch's for lunch. Sit outside if you can! It is lovely!!! Guitar player and all! The service was attentive but we did not feel rushed. The food was very good. We started with some sushi which was excellent. Both of our meals were very good and we will certainly go back!"

"Mitch's was busy but seated us on time. We were seated outside on a beautiful patio that was a perfect temperature and artistically decorated. Food was wonderful. It's a great place to have sushi. we had the "808" and the "Surf and Turf" sushi rolls. i would suggest both! For dinner we enjoyed rack of lamb, tasty fish and steak. Everything was cooked perfectly. Server was very attentive and a manager stopped by every table to ensure everyone was enjoying their evening!"

"We dined on the patio where the ambiance was exceptional; the soft yellow/apricot colors where a lovely choice against the greens of the lawn. The service was stellar and the food --salmon salads, ahi tacos where scrumptious. The Chinese chicken salad was rather bland, though.
Attention to detail(s) is apparent and appreciated. Pleasantly well priced menu for lunch.

"We have been to Mitch's a number of times and it has always been great so we chose to take our friend there for his birthday last week. Not sure what was going on but everything fell apart. We were placed at a table outside that was under a tree that was dropping debris all over us, in our water glasses, etc. the servers were not friendly when we asked for new water glasses so I went inside and asked Mitch for a new table. We were moved to a table right outside of the servers area with a new waitress. She was oblivious - had no idea what she was doing and didn't know the menu to save her life. There was something in the air that night because there was arguments going on inside the server area several times and we just wanted to eat and go."
