"I didn't know what to expect when making this reservation and the min we got there I knew it was the right decision :) I made the reservation for 5 for a Mothers Day Brunch and it was SO yummy! We all really enjoyed it and I would highly recommend this lovely eatery to everyone!"

"I took my folks here for Mother's Day this past weekend and was really disappointed. The service was lousy from the hostess who fell behind and took 5 minutes to even acknowledge me to the unattentive server. Sadly the food didn't really make up for it either. This was my second time here and second time disappointed, i wont be back."

"We were celebrating a birthday here, and all of us enjoyed the food and the wine. This IS a neighborhood place, cozy and warm. Great for a Sunday visit. The short ribs are wonderful, and portions are substantial. I highly recommend this restaurant!"

"I love this place! I've been several times, and every time they get it right. The food is delicious. Try the fig and prosciuto (sp?) pizzetta and the tuna tartare. The service was fantastic. Our waitress described each dish with such enthusiasm, it was obvious she liked the food herself and liked working there. This is a great staple restaurant that never fails."

"Loved the food. Great table location. Fantastic server, Jericho. Her descriptions of the dishes and preparation were literary in voice. I am diabetic. I loved the cocktails on the drinks menu but all loaded with sugar. She recommended one that let me drink without having to pay the penality. The Vodka was Purity Vodka. She raved about it. Now this is the only vodka he will drink ."

"It was my friends birthday and I am so happy that Taste on Melrose came through again! The staff took such good care of us. In my OpenTable special request, I was quite specific about the table that I wanted. They had it waiting for us when we walked in. Very impressive considering it was super crowded. "Taste is one of my favorite restaurants at all time. I took my friend there for his birthday and we had a fantastic dining experience. Taste is never a let down. Everytime I went there, I always had a fantastic time. The staffs were very friendly and professional and the food was sooo delicious. We sat at the patio area and the ambiance is romantic and energetic. I highly recommend this restaurant. If you like the feel of a boutique stylish restaurant with great food and service, this place is a must try."

"My husband & I had reservations for Easter Brunch..we were seated immediately...so-so seating right next to door...but the place was full. Our server was VERY GOOD. We have been/& enjoyed to TASTE many times prior for lunch, dinner, & brunch. his time I was not very happy with my food, I ordered Short Rib Hash. The meat looked Pureed with an egg on top and potatoes on the side...I couldnt really get past the texture, so I ate what I could 7 gave the rest to my husband...He had the Brioche French toast he enjoyed it. I did enjoy the Bloody Mary (1st time having one!) The miniature desserts were also tasty.

"I've said it before, and I tell everyone I know: Taste on Melrose is as close as you can get to a sure bet when you need a solution to the "Where shall we brunch/lunch/dine?" The menu has more than something for everyone. Food is carefully prepared, nicely presented and delicious. Service is friendly and casual-yet-competent. I always feel we are well taken care of at Taste - even when it's busy. The drinks are generous. And menu prices are sane, when the location and quality could command far more. It's our go-to spot with out-of-town guests. Never fails. They just do it right. Thanks Taste."

"The food was delicious however the staff was rude and they turned the lights completely off in the restaurant. I understand you're wanting to save energy but then have several candles scattered or switch out your light bulbs to energy efficient ones!.... ppl had to pull out their phones because you literally couldn't read the menu or your bill for that matter b/c it was so dark besides one pathetic candle on the table. In regards to the staff, my table had signed our bill and we were finishing up our drinks and conversation when the waiter returned and said you're done and picked up our glasses. Clearly they wanted us to leave and for that reason I will not return to this restaurant. Just rude.."

"We had a nice time at Taste. The staff was friendly and worked to make it a pleasant experience. The food had pluses and minuses. I ordered three appetizers for my meal and my wife had a salad. The ahi tuna was very good and the brussel sprout salad was interesting because it was different than most brussel sprout plates you get. The only real let down was the kobe meatballs. They tasted like they were out of a Costco Meatball bag versus real Kobe beef. Nice place, but nothing spectacular."

"I went to Taste on Melrose to celebrate my birthday with a girlfriend, and we had a great experience. Service and food were great. Ambiance was perfect. They even gave me a card and a $20 gift card to return. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be coming back!"

"Good food, good service. Mac and Cheese with truffle to die for. A little noisier than I like, but not so much that it interfered with our enjoying the meal and conversation. On a warmer night, I would have enjoyed sitting outside, but it was a little noisier out there and a little too chilly."

"My friend and I had an amazing time at TASTE. The kobe meatballs pomodoro were too die for!!! We ended up ordering two orders of the kobe meatballs pomodoro. Other faves: white truffle oil and mushroom mac and cheese, roasted red and golden beet salad, prosciutto & fig pizzetta, and brussel sprouts. I loved the pomegranate sangria."

"One of my favorite LA joints. Great atmosphere, fun vibe, yet kind of intimate. Great for a gathering of a group of friends (wonderful drinks, bites and comfort food). It's also terrific for a romantic dinner. My first visit was with a group of friends - cocktails & shared plates, before we headed off to a local club. Evertying thing was delicious, including the cocktails. The next time my partner and I had our Valentine's Day dinner there and it was perfect. Any place that can turn out great risotto with a packed house wins me over! Their mashed potatoes with truffle oil are insane, and their salads are imaginiative and deliciouis. Fillet mignon melts in your mouth. Not too expensive, plus valet parking is only $4.50 - a bargain in LA!"
