Tucked into a quiet corner of Biltmore Village is one of Richard Sharp Smith's original Tudor Style cottages, and one of Asheville's most surprising restaurants. Chef Joe Scully brings years of culinary experience to bear in his special North Carolina take on Pan-American cuisine (he calls it "Caromerican"), while host Kevin Westmoreland makes you feel as welcome as an old friend at breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Dine in the sunny “Side Porch”, where tables cluster around a generous bar, or in one of the cozy fireplace rooms - upstairs or down. When the weather's right, relax on the Patio and take in the singular beauty of Historic Biltmore Village. If you are looking for the perfect spot for your next meeting, luncheon or other group function, call or email and make arrangements for an unforgettably great special event.
"We frequently go to Corner Kitchen for lunch. The food and service are always great. I always recommend it to people who are in the Biltmore Village area."

"Looking for a Mother's Day hotspot, I fell across the Corner Kitchen on Open Table's Asheville list. What a find! We enjoyed every minute of our meal. The service is attentive, courteous and knowledgable... the food was way above average with options that apparently change weekly. Plating was lovely. I had the arugula salad and trout...superb, as was my husband's crab corn chowder and beef tenderloin. He talked about it all the way back to Waynesville! Only thing missing...our kids were not there with us to celebrate! CK warrants another trip, soon!"

"Great place to celebrate my mother's birthday. I'll certainly be back before the next special occasion. Liked the vinho verde very much and was glad there were so many seafood options on the menu."

"Over all feeling was very busy, and this led to deciding to eat and run. Gluten free options were very limited, but what I eventually received was tasty. Others in the group rated their food adequate to good, not quite what we had anticipated based on reviews on the web. However, as visitors to this area, we were glad to find a nice place to eat with a varied menu near our hotel. I would return and would recommend this location to others."

"the fabled metloaf was dry, the pecan crusted trout was overdone and the seasoning overwhelmed the delicacy of the fish. Very disappointed, I am afraid this place is living off its reputation and is no longer serving the customer with a valuable dining experience."

"A group of three, we made a delicious and varied repast out of the small plates, soups and desserts. Don't miss the bread basket either. The lobster hash and calamari were to die for, and the soups were quite good, perhaps not quite piping hot enough. Excellent service, friendly but not overbearing. Will decidedly return. Quaint house in Biltmore Village so intimate."

"My friend and I took our mother's for their birthdays to lunch at the Corner Kitchen. It was as usual a wonderful experience. Our waiter explained the specials and answered our questions. I had a delicious open faced grilled portabello mushroom sandwich on a ciabata roll, which was wonderful! I highly recommend this restaurant, it has become one of our favorites that we always take visiting guests to if we go out to eat!"

"Food was very well and uniquely seasoned, sauced and presented attractively. The nut encrusted trout was the best I've every had, while the meatloaf was good but the sauces were over the top. The basket of rolls we ordered were excellent. A couple who came in the same time we did were in and out in 45 minutes. If you don't order an appetizer or dessert, service is so quick, that you've spent more than a nominal amount for a very quick dinner."

"Just a great place. The only minus was that they served the entrees while we were just midway thru salads, and the restaurant wasn't so busy. They could have paced the service a little better. But, the food, ambiance are just terrific."

"the food was delicious. there was a minor mixup with the drink menu in that there were some items listed which were not available. also, we chose to eat at your restaurant because you have gluten-free food options; it might also be beneficial for you to have gluten-free alcoholic beverage options (other than vodka), such as hard ciders. other than that, it was a good experience."

"I continue to find Corner Kitchen overrated. The food and service are reasonably good, but far from outstanding. I ordered a burger with blue cheese. I received a bun, a burger, and blue cheese. And that's all. There was a green tomato and lettuce on the side.
Several weeks ago, I had duck confit there. It was the worst duck confit I have ever had. It was tough and chewy, everything duck confit is not supposed to be.
That is not exactly a recipe for haute cuisine. It's quite basic; indeed, too basic.
As well, it is not a particularly comfortable or attractive restaurant."

"One of the best restaurants for the money that we have encountered in our travels around the US. Food was prepared with their own styles and service was friendly and attentive. The soufflé which changes regularly is delicious and can be shared by two for a very reasonable cost. We will go,there again when in Asheville."

"It was a crowded Saturday night and there were five people in our party. Three of us got the meatloaf which sounded amazing, it was not. It was more like a meatloaf pate. Plus it was a little cold, the grits were average but the collard greens were good. Honestly there are some foods that you shouldn't mess with too much and meatloaf is one of them, nobody liked it. The others order was the chipino, she said it was so so. Overall we did not have a great dinner. Oh the bread basket was good but not free! Will not return."

"Traveling through Asheville for our first time, we ate at the Corner Kitchen because of the Open Table reviews. Outstanding dinner!! Seated promptly, drinks were delivered quickly. Corn and crab chowder was good, heavier on the corn than the crab, but delicious. Arugula salad was fresh, just right-lightly dressed. The two of us ordered the same dish...scallops with beet salad. My mouth is watering as I write this..cooked to perfection, seasoned just right. Highlight of the night was the white chocolate raspberry soufle with chocolate sauce and creme fraiche..just wonderful. We'd return to Asheville again just to dine at the Corner Kitchen...yum!!"

"Restaurant staff was very accommodating as to our timing for our Sunday brunch in order to attend worship services at the nearby Cathedral. Coffee was excellent. Corned beef hash was outstanding - chunky and flavorful. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Brunch menu had interesting items - not many breakfast items, more lunch type selections. However, I highly recommend for Sunday brunch."

"We took my sister to Sunday brunch for her birthday. Corner Kitchen has an extensive brunch menu with lots of different options. The food was wonderful. Our server Jaime was terrific. She brought a special dessert out to my sister with a candle. That was very sweet. Overall, great experience. I would recommend making reservations for Sunday brunch as it was very busy. We had reservations and we were seated very quickly."

"The Corner Kitchen is a must do if you visit Ashevile. The food was packed with flavor the chef really got it right from the appetizers to the entrees. The menu gave plenty of options and every single one looked good enough to try. After my dining experience there I know that I must return every time I am in Asheville."

"Exceptional food! I have been many times, and always go there when traveling to/through Asheville, NC whenever possible. I have had fantastic food for brunch (Saturdays and Sundays), lunch, and dinner. Haven't had breakfast there, but know that would be great food too. It's always a special treat!"

"Unlike some past visits, we were seated immediately upon arriving at the appointed time of our reservation, perhaps because it was a weekday lunch or they have been working to improve on this. The waiter was cordial and efficient, but not overly friendly or solicitous, As always, the food was interesting (not boring or bland) very tasty. The size of salad portions, implied to be main courses for lunch, was a bit on the small side. Overall, a very satisfying experience that encourages us to return."
