"They take good food seriously! Great, creative mix of seasonings and unique dishes. The pho noodle dish was excellent. Wonderful not to have to go into the city to get food like that! Not a place most kids would probably like, certainly my 3 wouldn't. Also had some wonderful mixed drinks. By far one of the best restaurants in northern Pittsburgh suburbs in terms of food and atmosphere. More like places I have been to in larger cities. We needed a place like this!"

"My husband and I are both doing Weight Watchers, and the tons of small plates on the menu means you can really mix it up...eat a variety of really good food, but still stay well within your WW points limit! We got to sample several great tastes without feeling guilty. The food was excellent, though the robata grill tenderloin was a bit tough...more like a flank steak than tenderloin (only reason for 4 vs. 5 stars on the food). Great place...will definitely be back!"

"The fun of Tamari comes with picking and choosing among the many small dishes and sharing them with your table. Because the plates are small, you can take risks and try things you might not be willing to try if your only option was an expensive full entree. Plus, there are many familiar items on the menu to balance out the more adventurous ones. We enjoyed pretty much everything we tried--and we really ran the gamut. Our wait staff was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Plus, Tamari has a fun and different cocktail menu. It all made for a night that was out of the ordinary and very enjoyable."

"Creative Asian food in a modern setting. Service was good and comfortably paced if not note worthy. Food was good, some things very good, but not quite up to the level of the flagship Lawrenceville location. Wine list is limited so if you want something special to go with a special meal bring it with you. Have to admit I like my whiskey straight and my wine aged and please what is it with foo foo cocktails or even worse everyone trying to out weird each other with bizarre drink ingredients. If this is near your abode or you are working in the area this is a strong option with what looked to be a vibrant bar/casual dining scene. Need to add a little magic here and there to get to the 4 star level which the flagship achieves at least for food"

"Upscale decor and solid food combined with subpar service and pathetic hosts.
Greeted by someone in sneakers / jeans and what can be best described as a plaid short sleeve shirt with a wife beater and a gold chain exposed. In a upscale decor? The waitress was average at best described their sangria as red and white with some fruit in it and couldn't describe any of the dishes and moderately grunted at us. Plus the seating we had take into our own hands and go to the bar after being sat next to another couple with tons of open tables around (that remained open) we just went to the bar to have a moderate cozy dinner. Food was great and energy was great but won't be going back."

"Apparantly they did not have our reservation as when we walked in the door, the host immediately told us that he needed to see the manager. She in turn old us that we would only need to wait until our reservation time as we were 10 minutes early. After about 20 minutes, we asked for an update and were told the people at our table had just ordered dessert so we would need to wait a bit longer. At 9:00, which was a 1/2 hour after our reservation, I approached the host again and was told we would be seated in 30 seconds. When we were seated, I noticed a couple of empty tables, so it was very apparant that they had forgotten about us. No appologies, nothing. The food was good, but I will not go back."

I would highly recommend Tamari for the experience of flavores!
The dining experience is a little bit awkward... I would describe the entire meal as a tasting of appetizers.
Which gives the ability to try many different dishes, without being stuck with something you don't like.
To start off the best part of Tamari is the quality of the sushi, every roll we tried was perfect taste for what was expected, and I am confident in saying you will be happy with any selection you make.
All around every item is worth a shot, I have been there a few times, and barring a few selections, I was very satisfied."
I would highly recommend Tamari for the experience of flavores!
The dining experience is a little bit awkward... I would describe the entire meal as a tasting of appetizers.
Which gives the ability to try many different dishes, without being stuck with something you don't like.
To start off the best part of Tamari is the quality of the sushi, every roll we tried was perfect taste for what was expected, and I am confident in saying you will be happy with any selection you make.
All around every item is worth a shot, I have been there a few times, and barring a few selections, I was very satisfied."

"This is my girlfriend's favorite restaurant but she had no idea that the Warrendale location existed so I surprised her for her birthday. Everything was perfect! They sat us ahead of schedule because we arrived before our reservation, service was personal and fast, and the food was excellent."

"Even with the huge crowc expected, we were treated nicely and our dinner was not rushed. Our food was excellent, and even when we asked if we could order some of the special Valentine menu ala carte, we were treated with a smile and a yes. The menu is definitely eclectic, so be sure you are not a picky eater!"

"I've been here a few times now, and it's been disappointing each time. I wanted very much to like it - as it's very close to my home, but most of the dishes are seasoned poorly - and either lack flavor or are incredibly salty. The sushi isn't bad, but is expensive. After 3 disappointing tries, I'm done with this restaurant.
On a positive note, the drinks have been good."
