Housed in a historic former firehouse, Dijon is the first restaurant concept from New Orleans native Kurt Brodtmann. He is working with Executive Chef Daniel Causgrove to deliver a truly unique dining experience!
We offer a Louisiana Contemporary cuisine with French and Creole influences. Our menu will rotate seasonally according to availability and by Chef's choice and will always feature rotating daily dinner specials, featured wines and cocktails.
We take a French provincial approach to fine dining by inviting you to our humble space and serving you nothing but the freshest local ingredients possible.

"I can only assume its off-the-beaten-track location accounts for why this restaurant isn't better known. For me, that's a plus--no problems with traffic or parking. I love the converted firehouse building, and everything from starters to dessert was outstanding. It was a perfect evening-out experience. I'd go back in a heartbeat!"

"We were a grad party of 16. Kurt couldn't have been more helpful and set up our group in the bar area, which felt like a private room. The service was friendly and fantastic and the food was awesome. The building is absolutely lovely and I look forwarding to returning."

"Could not ask for more. The brunch menu was superb. I brought my 5 month old (she's very well behaved) and we were very catered to by our waiter and the owner. I got the steak and eggs, which were outstanding The restaurant is beautiful with so much natural light. There were several tables occupied but it was not loud at all with the high ceilings. I will definitely sit outside next time as the patio is beautiful. The waiter and owner were very accommodating and personable. The chef even came out and spoke with our table."

"My best friend and I went to Dijon for dinner on our girls' night out. We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated quickly in the very pretty dining room. Our waiter was very helpful and prompt throughout the entire service. We had the crawfish and boudin balls for appetizer, the rabbit and duck for entrées, and for dessert we had the crème brûlée and strawberry turnover. Every single item we had was absolutely delicious, and we decided before we were even done eating that we wanted to return for brunch as soon as possible with our husbands -- we couldn't believe how great everything was, and for such reasonable prices. This restaurant is convenient to our neighborhood, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect dinner!"

"I set up the annual birthday celebration with friends for Friday night with fear that the menu might intimidate my meat and potatoes friends but each diner was pleased with the meal, even those who tried items they would normally not attempt. The meal was delicious. Special compliments were heaped on the oyster salad and the roast oysters. A very enjoyable meal. It was a lot busier than the last time I went for dinner so I suggest rsvp. This newer gem may have caught on."

"Our waiter was very friendly and informative. Everyone that came to our table was friendly The food was delicious. We ordered the 3 course pre-made menu. We got the boudin balls, the hangar steak and the chocolate mousse. The balls were awesome. I love crawfish boudin. The hangar steak was so moist and cooked perfectly. I love the steak sauce was so good. The chocolate mousse was just ok. I wasn't a huge fan because it had hint of coffee which I really do not like. But overall, this place was great. I'll be back."

"We had a wonderful dinner at Dijons. It is outside of the French Quarter, so you get some peace and quiet after the madness in town. The evening was wonderful with a great menu, interesting cocktails, and very generous portions! We will definitely go back next time we get to the big easy."

"The food was outstanding. Nine people and everyone enjoyed each dish from appetizers to desserts. The charcuterie and cheese plates were reasonably priced and tasty but we should of have had two of one or the other so that they went around the table. Service was a bit spotty (too attentive or missing) but we were there for each other so it wasn't a problem. Wine list was good but not extensive. The one flaw is the acoustics are tough given it's a large room with forty foot ceilings. Difficult to be heard from one end of the table to the other especially when several large tables were seated after us. A good selection of daily specials so even regulars can vary things. I will certainly return."

"We read the reviews and decided to "give them a try" with the knowledge that there was a kitchen shake-up. The setting was fantastic, but that's where it ended. Our waitress was unenthused and mute. If she said 3 words to us that's a lot. The food was mediocre. As one reviewer said before, the descriptions look far better than the actual preparation. We wanted to like Dijon, but since they have had a rocky beginning and the changes haven't really worked, I don't think they'll be long for NOLA."

"This was our second time at Dijon in three days. We came back because we love the food. The chef is amazing and makes up for the disorganization at the front end. They only had two wait staff on a busy night, one of whom was very inexperienced. The owner was running around in a panic but did not manage the small crew he had working. If it wasn't for the chef and his amazing dishes, I would not go back, but I will only for the food. I hope they get their act together before its too late."

"Had a great brunch at Dijon last weekend. Friends had been there and told me that it was great, and they were not wrong. Based on a quick chat with the owner, it sounds like they switched chefs about 6 months ago, and I can tell you that the new chef is great.
We started with oysters and a charcuterie plate (both of which were out of this world - the pork rillette was especially good). Then the shrimp, mushroom and gruyere omlette was great, and the steak and eggs were delicious as well.
Bottom line is that if you tried this restaurant when it opened and weren't thrilled, give it another chance, and if you haven't tried it at all, definitely give it a shot. Amazing ambiance, great food and great service make it a can't miss!"

"Bought a Living Social for the Prix Fixe menu. There were two choices of each course and we were very happy to have oysters, grouper and one each of the desserts, a chocolate mousse and coffee/chicory creme brulee. The oysters were very fresh and one in our party had the roasted oysters in addition to the fried oyster salad on the Prix Fixe menu - both were very good. The local fish dish was grouper and it was tasty. The creme brulee was especially good - it tasted like eating a cup of coffee! Service was good and we were very well taken care of even though one server hadn't turned up. The ambiance within the converted firehouse is quite special."

"We kept hearing about this place but finally got the chance to go. What a great surprise. The ambiance inside and out is amazing. The food is creative without being fussy. "Dijon is in an old warehouse space. It is open and beautiful. There is gorgeous indoor and outdoor seating. They play great music for ambiance. The dishes are inventive. "I don't know how we hadn't heard about Dijon until now. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is excellent. The tables are spread out so that you don't feel like you are on top of another party or hearing their conversation. Lots of variety on the menu."

"Very nice place to eat! The hanger steak was delicious and the service was excellent! Owner made sure we were well talked care of and our waiter Ben was terrific. The atmosphere was unique and enjoyable! Everyone should give them a try!"

"We had been in NOLA a week and were looking for a change from the old-school places. Group of 8--3 adults, 5 kids. Wanted something tasty, new, contemporary, sophisticated but family-friendly. Dijon was perfect. Beautiful room, terrific food, interesting and creative cocktails and wine list, really friendly service. I can't believe this place isn't packed to the rafters every night like Coquette or Lilette or any of Spicer's places. I think it is definitely in the same class."

"Do not miss this place! Best food I have had in over a year. Everything fantastic-imaginative and prepared with care and precision. Flounder was perfect and cinnamon cured tuna was interesting as well as delicious. Lovely space-old renovated firehouse. Much better food than anything I have eaten in the French Quarter."

"Really enjoyed the Sunday brunch last week- overall, a great space, and a great experience.Few small items: corn bread was served dry (not good) and the bloody mary mix wasn't up to par. Fried green tomato benedict a hit!"

"The food was good, and the waitstaff was very nice. However, it took an exceptionally long time until we received our food, and the restaurant was not over crowded. I doubt we would dine again considering how long it took. I will say the Bloody Mary was terrible."

"Although quite tasty, the food and drinks came out very slowly. Had the restaurant been full it may have understandable, however, this was not the case. Three hours for brunch in a half empty place was just a bit too long for me even though the food is good."

""Neat" place in terms of ambiance and overall setting. The service was good, fairly attentive to needs. The entrees were very good, (Mississippi Rabbit and couchon d'lait), both in terms of flavor and presentation. The appetizers and desserts were OK; just seemed to lack a bit of "pizzazz". Overall a good experience, reasonably priced and would go back."

"We tried this restaurant with a Living Social gift certificate. The atmosphere in the tastefully-converted old firehouse is truly lovely, and the softly-lighted courtyard just outside was also inviting, though we opted to eat inside due to the weather. Service was friendly and attentive. The oyster salad and crawfish boudin balls were excellent appetizers, but the fish entree was lacking in dimension and mainly tasted of butter and salt. Portions were very generous and the chicory coffee creme brulee was excellent. Overall the experience was enjoyable and I will certainly be back again."

"Came here for brunch recently. When we arrived we were the only two people there, but I kind of enjoyed that.
We chose a sunny table by the huge arched entrance, which was slightly open, allowing a nice breeze to flow through the restaurant. The music they had on was great- some old jazz and r & b , perfect for a Sunday morning.
Our server was fantastic- attentive but not hovering.
We started with a cocktail and mimosa ( bottomless mimosas for $12 is a steal!) and the server brought out biscuits with jam and butter. On their own the biscuits were phenomenal, but with the beet jam were downright sinful. The meal only got better- apps were my favorite- roasted oysters are a must try..."

"the food was great. I would recommend the oysters for sure. For dinner we got the hanger steak and the black drum. The food was great, but I would saw the atmosphere, wine list, and service were off. I wish it was a bit livelier but that is not something the owner can create. Check it out. You'll love the food."
