"Pretty tasty, always happy. Our server was pretty brutal this visit though. We put the stick thing in that means we want the Mu Shu wraps. They never showed, and the server was extremely rude and argued that if we didn't receive them it means we didn't put the stick in. I'm pretty sure we didn't both imagine putting them into our bowls.
Other than that one incident though, it has been pretty good! Pretty much the same as Mongolie Grill but half the price. The only thing missing is cashews! I have to make due with peanuts."

"My wife and I have been coming here on a regular basis for close to five years. We have brought many new people here, and they all love it. I am a 6'4 210 pound guy who is most at home working hard, and wearing cowboy boots, and yet, I love this place. I always walk away pleasently full."

"I LOVE this restaurant. It's good for young couples on a budget ("Hey dad, can I borrow the car?") or families who are tired of Montana's or BP's as their only choices. It's great for birthdays or anniversaries, or just that quick date you realize the babysitter is ACTUALLY going to pull through for you, but you don't want to go to the Keg. Again. Open Sesame is a restaurant full of textures and tactile stimuli. The staff is always happy and not gossipy. I have never felt judged or under/over dressed walking into this place. Nor have I felt the dreaded "Oh no, they brought kids" eyeroll. LOVE it here! Keep up the great work!"

"We love coming to open sesame. We only just heard about it and came in for the first time on April 22 and we have been in every week since. I am a very picky eater so I love being able to choose what goes into my bowl. My husband had a reccomedation from the server and tried it and loved it. We always have great service the staff is awesome!"

"Open Sesame is one of my favorite places in Calgary to eat. Being a vegan, it's hard to go out and enjoy a restaurant but with Open Sesame, I'm able to stay true to my dietary restrictions without any problem :) It's also very romantic, which I love.
Our server (I can't remember his name!) was fantastic.
I have, would and will recommend Open Sesame to my friends, family and now even strangers.

"We were there for a birthday and we had reserved for a table of 8 but 4 canceled last minute. We were there for 10 minutes before we received our drinks and the server didn't even bring the correct drink for one of the guests. So I had to wait another 10 minutes for my drink. We were there 40 minutes without the server even coming back to our table to take our order and we had to talk to the manager. We then got served and the waitress assumed but didn't ask if the rest of the table would be coming to order food and was rude about it. Meanwhile we had to wait almost an hour for our food. Normally we find this restaurant with good service and food but I don't think we'll be back."

"Today was the first time I had gone to Open Sesame. I found the food and service to be fantastic. There was only one mishap that happend with our bowls of veggies that were placed at the kitchen to be cooked for the "go stir crazy". When our server came back and let us know why our food was taking so long to be cooked and that she did talk to the kitchen to get it cooked right away and even the manager, we were more than surprised that she noticed and went ahead and took care of everything before it did turn into a problem. I will definitely be going back the service and food was outstanding."

"THE FOOD WAS GREAT...AS ALWAYS. OUR SERVER WAS YOUNG. SHE TOOK A LONG TIME TO COME AROUND. WHEN SHE DID SHE WASN'T HAPPY TO BE THERE. SHE TOOK OUR DRINK ORDER, HAD NO SUGGESTIONS. WHEN SHE FINALLY BROUGHT THE DRINKS WE HAD ALREADY PLACED OUR STIR CRAZY ORDER. THE MARTINI ORDERED CAME WITH NO GARNISH. WE REQUESTED AN OLIVE AND SHE BROUGHT THEM OUT.
WE HAD ORDERED APPETIZERS AND IN MY EXPERIENCE WE SHOULD HAVE THE APPETIZERS AND THEN HAVE OUR MAIN MEAL SERVED. THEY BOTH CAME WITH IN SECONDS OF EACH OTHER. WE FINISHED OUR MEAL...I ORDERED A COFFEE AND SHE BROUGHT US THE BILL. IT SEEMED VERY RUSHED TO GET US OUT OF THERE. OVERALL RATING IS AS SUCH BECAUSE OUR SERVER WASN'T THE BEST."

"We had a private area for my birthday party and it was perfect. Very cozy and also secluded, which ended up being perfect for the 8 month old baby who was part of our dinner. Open Sesame is our family's favorite restaurant. The food never disappoints and it is a great place for larger groups of people. We can't wait to come back!"

"Have been in before, menu is great but could use an update, some of the items are a little inconsistent depending on who is in the kitchen but it is always very good, very accommodating for allergies and everything on the stir fry bar is clearly marked, great decor, good service, delicious stir fry and the banana spring rolls are amazing."
