"Came in with high expectations, left completely underwhelmed. The atmosphere was cool, with a nice local band playing live music; and our server was fantastic. The hostesses were awesome too. Problem areas - the food. For New Orleans I was expecting a mouth watering experience. Ordered the smothered catfish. The seasoning on the fish was good but the tomato mash which smothered the chicken was overbearing and over cooked. Ordered the gumbo too, and took it back after 2 bites (hate to say it but the quality reminded me of Cambell's soup and not a labor intensive gumbo like I expected). Sigh.... Love HOB and will always be a supporter of the music venue. Just might not find me in the restaurant any time soon. :("

Review 3 for Crossroads at House of Blues - New Orleans
"We were seated promptly by the hostess. Our waitress came to take our drink order. I ordered & she asked me for I.D. We thought she was kidding. She insisted she wouldn't serve us until I.D. was shown. We are all in our early 50's. I tried explaining that we were tourists & not carrying our passports or drivers licenses, with no luck. She said our only other option was to leave. I went to find a manager who initially tried to back her then admitted it was ridiculous & said she would "vouch" for us. It was only tables with this waitress who went thru this. She explained the specials 3 times, we had to remind her we already ordered. Same routine with the desserts. Ribs were good, lobster Mac n cheese great."

Review 4 for Crossroads at House of Blues - New Orleans
"Upon checking in with half the tables empty we were to of to wait and never called back for our reservation. Instead reported as a no show to open table. Hilarious if the hostess wasn't so terrible. We did eat at the bar. Friendly staff but predictably formulaic corporate produced food. Next time we want dinner before a show we will go elsewhere. The show was fantastic."

Review 5 for Crossroads at House of Blues - New Orleans
"From the moment we walked in the energy level and atmosphere created for a great evening. The food and service were both amazing and we couldn't resist trying a couple of the drinks with souvenir cups. After a quick trip to the gift shop we enjoyed the last half hour of open mic comedy in the garden courtyard and it was an entertaining show, the young man hosting was quite funny. One of our best evenings in New Orleans."

Review 6 for Crossroads at House of Blues - New Orleans
"Lobster Mac and Cheese, with bacon and mushrooms added, was phenomenally good. Top shelf margarita left a bit to be desired (too much sweet and sour overwhelmed taste of tequila). Business associate had pulled pork sandwich which they enjoyed. Bread pudding was an A-/B+ level. Overall, very good pub food in a pub food setting and better than normal pub service."

Review 7 for Crossroads at House of Blues - New Orleans
"We went for lunch and received excellent service. The food was above average but, this is the House of Blues and entertainment is what would you come for. Since it was lunch it was not very lively but, I would expect it to be a very different place at night."

Review 8 for Crossroads at House of Blues - New Orleans
"Lunch is the best time to eat here. Not really busy even though the foods pretty good. Kids meals are good size portion. Wait staff is attentive. House of Blues salad with grilled chicken had a really good balsamic vinegarette. Nice music in background. Would go back."

Review 10 for Crossroads at House of Blues - New Orleans
"Just got back with my 3 kids. We waited for 75 minutes for our hamburgers after being seated on a fairly light Sunday (in terms of crowd). Ordered all without onions and well done- all came with onions and were medium at best. We were starving so we didn't say anything. They were quick to bring the bill though. Will never be back. Overpriced for what you get and the service was the worst I've had at a dining establishment in years."

Review 12 for Crossroads at House of Blues - New Orleans
"I consider myself a frequent traveller and patient diner but the service at HOB was way off. This was a Wednesday night and not crowded at all. After we arrived at the check in station it was at least eight minutes (probably closer to twelve) before anyone came to seat us. After we were seated we waited for a long time for drinks (the water that was requested never came) and then we waited for a long time for the drinks to arrive. It was another 15 minutes or so for the waiter to take the order and then it took forever for the food to arrive. (How long can a French Dip and a burger or two take?) Just call me disappointed. I expected better."

Review 16 for Crossroads at House of Blues - New Orleans
"Fortunately, the wine and beer selection is better, but not great, in the restaurant than at the bars in HOB. A serious bar selection upgrade is needed in the music venue. The food was much better than expected. We enjoyed the shrimp and grits, voodoo shrimp and HOB salad. And "Pass the Line" worked like a charm. Very good service. thanks!"

Review 21 for Crossroads at House of Blues - New Orleans
"Service was terrible...finally a manager stop by and took our drink order and offered a few suggestions from the menu.
After a long period of waiting for our meal, our waiter stop by and asked if we saved any room for dessert.....really??? we hadn't even gotten our food yet. So he runs to the kitchen and brings our dinner out..
I had the blackened drum and it was good....my husband had the shrimp and grits and he wasn't impresssed with it at all.
Very disappointing!"

Review 23 for Crossroads at House of Blues - New Orleans
"It was very easy to make an online reservation. I really appreciate the ease and being able to make reservations for the day we needed them. Not always so lucky. After arriving the staff was very friendly and seated us even though we were early. They were very helpful in getting us a pass for the line to the concert that night and we are very grateful for that."

Review 24 for Crossroads at House of Blues - New Orleans
"Appearance and ambiance of the restaurant was great. The two men playing music were not great. Would have been nice to have music playing in the background. Our food was not bad, but nothing to ride home about. We each ordered the French dip, taste was good, the bread was a bad selection. Staff was very nice."

Review 25 for Crossroads at House of Blues - New Orleans
"This was my first time at the House of Blues, both the restaurant and the concert hall. I had booked a table through OpenTable and I must say I was very pleased with the service. I had changed my reservation a couple of times prior to going to New Orleans, and this was not a problem for the OpenTable team. I received a call reminding me of my reservation, and although I got to the restaurant a few minutes early (15 mins), I was immediately shown to my table.
The service was great and the in-house musicians were an added touch. The food was nothing to write home about, but it served its purpose. All in all it was a pleasant experience and I would recommend this spot to anyone attending a live show at the House of Blues concert hall."

"Had a great time, went on a Thursday to find there was a free comedy show. Great alcoholic beverages. Food was good but a tad overpriced. The Thursday I was there was also Valentines Day so waiters were a bit busy and forgot to bring a few items we ordered, food was also late but we still had a good time."

Review 34 for Crossroads at House of Blues - New Orleans
"It is not a white table cloth restaurant like the picture on the website. Although the food was very good, it is extremely overpriced. my hausband had the buttermilk fried chicken with mashed potatoes - $17.00 for four pieces!! I had the shrimp and grits. It was excellent and moderately priced at $16.99. Otherwise, the entire experience was great!"

Review 35 for Crossroads at House of Blues - New Orleans
"As usual, House of Blues didn't disappoint for quality and quality. Food still had down-home taste that we've come to expect there, and even on a Friday evening we didn't feel crowded in. We didn't even make it to the garden to enjoy any of the music since we were running late to get to a theatre performance, but it was still a good experience."
