"Went for a 7pm reservation and had a good conversation with the bartender while I waited for my date. The bartender was hospitable and even informed me of great beers near Coney Island. The dishes were delicious and for appetizers worth the price and more. The atmosphere of the restaurant really set a good mood for my date and I enjoyed it a lot."

"Friends in nyc recommended Exchange to me as a great place "off the beaten track". I brought 3 business colleagues and they were not disappointed. One hipster friend called the priest stranglers on the menu " the best pasta dish he ever ate". The hangar steak, jambalya balls with Brown gravy and salt seared cod were all extraordinary. We ate family style and shared 3 apps, 4 mains and the cheese plate. The only one that wasnt as well received ad the others was the braciole, which was just a tad dry. Service was excellent and very friendly. Chase was our server and made solid recommendations on beers and sides. 5 stars for this near perfect little gem."

"The menu was varied and we liked everything that we ordered. We had a vegetarian with us and she was especially pleased with her choices. We were a little disappointed with the fact that they did not have a full bar. I thought the wine by the glass selection was limited and overly expensive. I will go back when I am in the neighborhood again, but may not make a special trip just to go to the restaurant."

"Phenomenal. Everything was good: food, atmosphere, music, service...everything. The attention to detail was impressive.

We ordered two entrees and all six sides. Enough food, as it turns out, for dinner the next nights at home. But, we were intent on sampling everything we could.

The entrees were great: pasta and hanger steak. But the best part were the sides: brussels, radicchio, kale, etc. Even the fries were a treat.

Highly recommend for most occasions."

"My dad grilled our waiter about almost every item on the menu, and I was very impressed with his insightful answers. I was even more impressed that all the food that came to our table was delicious!!!! I also enjoyed the setting, which is laid back enough not to be pretentious, but well-lit enough to feel very glam."

"I went twice in two weeks and had a great experience both times. We really liked the atmosphere. The drinks are original and delicious. The service is friendly, attentive yet laid back. I loved that they didn't make us order all our courses at once and generally let us have a leisurely meal. It's so nice not to feel rushed. Also were accommodating about substituting a side. Food was delicious: love the white salad! Had a pasta each time and both were great. Friends had fish, steak, kale side. Everyone said food was wonderful. We didn't have dessert either time. For me nothing stood out as a must have. That said they could be good, we just didnt try them. All at our table remarked they would return. I definitely want to try the brunch!"
