"I have eaten at this restaurant several times and the food has always been exceptional. The Executive Chef has a knack for making a menu that will appeal to all different types of people. The service has been, without exception extraordinary. I have always been greeted with a smile and the wait staff has always been very pleasant. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone either staying overnight in Stowe or just passing through."

"Though there were more elegant choices, our group was in the mood for burgers and fish and chips. I commented that those were the best French fries I'd had in a long time, whereupon my son said his burger was the best burger he has EVER had. The fish itself also excellent, crispy on the outside and moist inside. The cheddar and ale soup was also delicious.
Friendly service. Attractive restaurant interior, though we were there for lunch and ate outside."

"A diner's experience starts at the door. The host was less than enthusiastic when we walked in and then once we were seated fifteen minutes passed and no one came over. I went to the bar, grabbed the bartender (who has waited on us before and is very customer oriented) and he at least took our drink orders.
Do not let your customers be ignored -- I can cook great food at home. I dine out because I want to be catered to and enjoy the experience.
The lemon ravioli were amazing -- everyone enjoyed their meals. Martinis were great. The night was dampened a bit by our lackluster greeting. The bar is beautiful and the bartender makes a great martini. We'll definitely go back."

"Great food. Our party of 6 really enjoyed the meals we ordered. General manager was fantastic. He introduced himself and gave us a brief story behind the beer making."

"A fun restaurant with a casual but interesting setting, and very strong menu with high quality ingredients that are carefully prepared. We had the duck confit salad, which was huge (we shared between two people) and I had the grilled swordfish, which was really wonderful. Just the right amount of sauce, and roasted vegetables. My husband had scallops with risotto, which was also very good. It was too much for us to finish, even after a full day of skiing. Prices were moderate for the quality of the food."

"Really uneven place. Saw that reviews were mixed and that's what Crop deserves. My meal was unremarkable, same with rest of my party. Doesn't live up to its promotion."

"We visited the day after the restaurant had opened a year ago, at that time we had a great time. On this visit I was a little disappointed, the food though good, was not spectacular, which was not the case on our first visit. Our server was a little inattentive, infact they spent more time with a large party of 8 guys, disappointing."

"Very busy, with good service but too few servers. It was very loud. The food, however, was above average and the drink list is pretty diverse. One negative was the lack of parking."

"Went after a day on the slopes. Nice craft beer list, the house brewed beers are solid, too. Food seems hit or miss-lots of good ideas that just may not pan out. Service still seems a bit green and could use some fine tuning. Go in with a good attitude, have a few beers, you'll be happy."

"Despite recent mixed reviews about Crop, we decided to try it out and were pleasantly surprised. We had good service at both the bar and our table. From everything we heard and read, experiences have been hit or miss, so hopefully they get it together for a more consistent experience. They have a good thing going. The kale and pork belly salad was awesome and the steak was done to perfection."

"We arrived 30 min early for our 8:15 reservation and, spying 6 empty tables, asked if we could be seated early. We were told they absolutely needed all the tables and were asked to wait. When we were seated, there were still 5 empty tables. Then we waited over 15 minutes for a waitstaff to bring water.
I ordered the chili with beef and goat. The chili was decently seasoned but the goat was like shoe leather and full of gristle. The goat I've had in the past was not like this. My husband's over-dressed duck confit salad came to the table looking like a pile of lettuce with the pears, walnuts, and other garnish slopped on the plate under it and a leg of duck unappetizingly plopped bone-in on the side."

"The ambience and decor at this new restaurant is very nice. Food is excellent, with great wine and beer lists. It is attached to a lively bar with live music. Service is languid at best."

"Extremely disappointed in this restaurant. We went there specifically because they have gluten free offerings. However, after asking about some of them I am suspect that the chef actually understands what gluten free means. They had a lamb special which had gluten in the "crust". They offered to scrape the crust off and make it gluten free. They also had "ale" brined chicken wings listed at GF.
We went on a Friday night. When we arrived they weren't that busy. Service was extremely slow. Even desert which was just ice cream & pie took over 20 minutes to bring to the table. Waiter did not seem either knowledgeable about gluten free or motivated to ask questions of the kitchen. Dining room was exceedingly hot."

"The restaurant still needs to figure things out. The online menu has many items that are no longer offered on the current menu. We waited 15 minutes for an early reservation and were told the table wasn't ready eventhough we could see plenty of empty tables, and then got seated in the back dining room that was empty! Do not sit back there in the winter - it is very cold/drafty if you are by a window. Food was just "okay", but the website design would lead you to think you were going to have a special, more inventive food experience."
