"Already a very fancy, but not over the top restaurant, if you come here on a nice day you can sit outside and have a beautiful waterfront view. The food is excellent and drink and wine list expansive. An excellent place to go for a date or special occasion."

Review 3 for Miel at the InterContinental Hotel Boston
"We had a very good time at Miel. The decor is beautiful. This restaurant is the only place in Boston, where I felt I was having dinner somewhere warm, perhaps even Mediterranean. The food was good, as well as the service. We will be back."

Review 5 for Miel at the InterContinental Hotel Boston
"This place has been a favoirte for lunch or late breakfast prior to ballet. The food is quite good, but there are slips in service. Spoled milk served with coffee, had to ask for replacement (obviously), and no offer to replace the french press coffee that was ruied. I asked for a minor adjustment in my dish, this was not done. This is really a place that could shine with a bit more attention to detail. Servers are cetainly pleasant."

Review 6 for Miel at the InterContinental Hotel Boston
"The food was very good and it is a good location. The decor could use a total overhaul - it looks it has not been done in a long time. We had the steak frites and the lobster orzo pasta, both of which were excellent."

Review 7 for Miel at the InterContinental Hotel Boston
"On a second visit(chose for outdoor dining) we were disappointed with the ambiance as it was too cool to be seated on outdoor area Service was a bit slow but when dinner arrived it was well prepared and quite good. We both ordered the "fish of the day" and did enjoy our dinner The approach to the dining room was very tacky with tables etc from what appeared to be a private event still standing -did not notice this on our first visit here. All in all we would not return fior dinner- perhaps in good weather either lunch or cocktails on the outdoor terrasse might tempt us to return"

Review 10 for Miel at the InterContinental Hotel Boston
"The service was ok. I went there for the restaurant week. The first courses were great, it was the beef tartare, fresh oysters off the restaurant week menu, and some beef tart. The second courses were fine. When the desert come out, It doesn't seem to be very delicious. The lavender ice cream all 4 of us had it, first thing we said to each other was. We all felt like we ate a spoon of body lotion. I understand it was the restaurant week menu, it was under the budget to prep for food but with limited budge I am sure there's something better you could have come up with."

Review 15 for Miel at the InterContinental Hotel Boston
"We went to Miel to celebrate my retirement, which we noted when making the reservation. We were seated at a window table with with a nice view of the water, and I received a complementary glass of champagne in honor of the event.
We both ordered the seared scallop/parsnip puree appetizer, and also the braised short rib entree, both of which were very well prepared and presented. The service was attentive, but dinner was a little too quickly paced. We had barely had a chance to sample the bread and olive tapenade, when the appetizers arrived, and the entrees followed too quickly after the appetizer course. We also both ordered the chocolate crepe for dessert, which was also good.
Overall a good dining experience; just need better p"

Review 17 for Miel at the InterContinental Hotel Boston
"We tried Miel during restaurant week and were extremely surprised! Loved the soup and scallop appetizers. Entres lamb and short rib were phenomenal! We weren't too keen with the desserts, which shocked us since this was a French restaurant. Would definitely come back though and perhaps try dessert on the regular menu."

Review 18 for Miel at the InterContinental Hotel Boston
"This was my first time at Miel. It is located within the Intercontinental Hotel. Pros: Outstanding food, service and view.
Cons: This applies not only to Miel, but the rest of the Intercontinental's main lobby. It is somewhat plain and uninspiring. I'm not sure what I expected when I arrived but the design is not well though out. The opulence I thought I'd see was replaced with a mediocre design that made me think a well intentioned general contractor did the job without any help from design consultants."

Review 19 for Miel at the InterContinental Hotel Boston
"Being my first time I can only revirew a lunch experience. 4of us dined on 3 different entrees Cobb salad was what u woud expect, skad nicotine was not much if a salad but merely a nice piece of rare tuna top a bit if lettuce, the third was the lobster roll which was very much enjoyed by my friend. One dessert of Tarte Tatin was very good Overall it was a nice experience and I will return when outdoor dining is available as I think the location would be very pleasant as you overlook Firt Point Chnnel and are sheltered from any car traffic."

Review 22 for Miel at the InterContinental Hotel Boston
"Four of us were at Miel Friday night for restaurant week. They had a decent restaurant week selection compare to some of the other French restaurants. Everything was delicious, with the exception of the short ribs, which was a bit salty. We were offered wine pairings with each course for $15, which was a great price for getting to try 3 different wines. The wines were also expertly paired and went perfectly with the food! Even though it was 9pm on a Friday night on restaurant week, the place was relatively quiet offering us plenty of privacy and a lot of space between tables. It was definitely intentional, as we saw a group being turned away as we were arriving. Overall it was a great experience and I would go therea again!"

"Food very delicious. Beautiful food presentation. A bit expensive. Quiet...so you can speak. Waiters are a bit too ready to clear dishes. $15 to park at hotel where restaurant is located with validation."

Review 27 for Miel at the InterContinental Hotel Boston
"I have always read how special Intercontinental Hotels are and this hotel is fine - but not far superior to other brands. The appetizer that I had at Miel was outstanding - goat cheese and beet tart. My main course, however, was mediocre at best. The butternut ravioli with field mushrooms was al dente to the point of being tough and the sauce was bland. My husband's tuna was overcooked and not very tasty. The server did not check back with us (to his detriment).I wanted another glass of wine but did not order one because by the time he came back my meal was done. I had to wave down someone for a refill on an empty water glass. I usually avoid hotel restaurants but thought the Intercontinental might be different - it was not."

Review 29 for Miel at the InterContinental Hotel Boston
"went for dinner, overall unimpressed by the food - perhaps it's better suited for breakfast and lunch?
also it was entirely understaffed when we were there - two waiters for what must be about two dozen tables? thankfully they weren't as busy as they could have been. as quiet as it was, they still managed to ran out of half of the desserts before 8pm."

Review 30 for Miel at the InterContinental Hotel Boston
"We decided to do Valentine's dinner on Friday, the 15th so we could enjoy the overnight babysitting. The place was very quiet for our early (6:30) reservation, but even when it was almost full as we were leaving, the noise level was still great. We had two apps and shared an entree so we'd have room for dessert. Our server made some great suggestions and found the perfect wine to accompany our meal. It was an ideal setting to our special dinner and we'll be coming back again soon."

"Excellent experience. The food was very good and prepared well. The waiter at our table was outstanding. He recommended dishes and steered us away from dishes he felt were not up to par that evening. Very attentive. I wish I got his name to pass it on."

Review 33 for Miel at the InterContinental Hotel Boston
"A name not does a bistro make! Harsh lighting, vast open spaces and a complete lack of charm are the unfortunate descriptors of Miel's dining room environment. Too bad, because the food is very good, the $35 prix fixe "hibernation special" price is right, and the service is terrific. Seems like the management has set up tables in a space in between wedding receptions."

Review 36 for Miel at the InterContinental Hotel Boston
"Miel at the InterContinental Hotel in Boston is a very upscale restaurant with wonderful service and incredible views. The interior screams high class and character while the server is quite attentive and accommodating. The menu is diverse and is presented by way of an ipad, a nice mix of tradition and technology. There is some great outdoor seating with views of the harbor. The food was good and the flavors was delicious but more attention is placed on the experimentation of flavors rather than the preparation of the main dish. The chicken, though very flavorful, was very dry. The vegetable soup was delicious but could have done without the extra layer of pesto which proved quite oily. Good food, great service and unbeatable views."
