"The service was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. However the food wasn't great. Several dishes were unevenly salted, so one bite would be good but the next would be toungue curling. The vegetables were overdone and bland ( except in the too salty spots). The pork loin was excellent, but that wasn't enough to make it worth the price."

"Enjoyed a delicious meal @ andiamo in novi 5/10/13. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. Received a comp appetizer when waitress found out we were first-timers.. Manager also came out to welcome us. Nice touch. Ordered lamb chops and seafood pasta dish. Both meals were well presented and tasty. Definitely a special occasion place though (kinda pricey)."

"Had reservations for a congradutory engadgement party. It took the waiter 10 min to greet us and another 20 for drinks to arrive. Service was very slow overall. Reservations were at 745 and by the time we got our bill it was 1030. Over an hr for food to arrive and when it did the potatoes were cold and stake overcooked. I've ate at andiamos many times but never the Novi location and will not again after this experience."

"Had a great time. The service was professional and the food was good. I personally love A1 with my filet -- The filet was so tender, but the zip sauce hurt my stomach with its intense flavor and they don't carry steak sauce. Next time I will get pasta or bring my own a1!! The atmosphere was good. The food is pricey but its definitely reasonable. That was my first time there and I can't wait to go back!"

"Andiamo's location in Novi is our least favorite location. The bar is vibrant and has entertainment, but the regular seating in the restaurant is "cold" with no atmosphere. The new chef (came from Joe Muer's downtown Detroit) will hopefully had some spark to some of the menu items. The scallops Mornay were very good, but pricey for what you got. The house salad is sad. Iceberg lettuce, 1 grape tomato and 2 slices of cucumber...really? That's a salad? The parmesan-garlic dressing is good, though."

"Andiamo Novi is my go-to place for business dinners. The ambiance is great, and the menu is pretty broad, so anyone can be comfortable dining there for the first time. Live smooth jazz / soft rock band at the bar created a perfect backdrop for a Friday evening dinner! What a pleasant surprise!"

"Had to send food back twice-first time my JUMBO shrimp, were like rubber bands and when I received my new plate-they were cold!! Did I mention they were JUMBO, well, they were at best, maybe, 2 inches long and had Bout a half teaspoon of crab meat on them- all 4 of them- $30.00? What a joke so I finally got some kind of whitefish to take with me because my husband was finished with his steak. The fish was hard on the edges and sooo overcooked!, what kind of chefs do they have here? Obviously bad ones! Did I mention I made reservations online and told them we were celebrating a birthday and could we please have a quiet table for two, well they sat me at a table in the middle of the dining room!! It was a bad b-day dinner."

"Andiamos has been one of our favorite places to dine. The food has always been high quality and delicious. So we were very surprised that our dinner last Saturday night was so disappointing. I ordered the 'large' shrimp stuffed with blue crab. I asked the waiter how large the shrimp were (as I was very hungry) and was assured they were VERY large shrimp. Imagine my dismay when I ordered that dish and the waiter came back with a plate filled with creamed corn with 4 SMALL shrimp. Curled up, they were a little larger than a quarter but certainly no larger than a half dollar coin. I would estimate that each shrimp had about a half teaspoon of crab stuffing on top. The salad was tiny. I went home hungry. So sad."

"While the food and service were very good and the atmosphere were very nice I was severly dissapointed with the Host Staff and how our reservation was handled. We arrived at the correst time and were told it would be just a minute until we would be seated.
After 20 minutes we were still not seated even though there were several empty tables in plain view. The staff repeatdly told us ther were no tables ready yet but we showed them the empty tables! We asked for the manager and he was wishy-washy and not very helpfull.
We were ready to leave when they said our table was ready. What do you know- IT WAS SAME TABLE THAT HAD BEEN EMPTY FOR THE LAST 30 MINUTES !
While we enjoyed our meal,noone came to our table to apoligze for the delays."

"I have been a regular patron of Andiamo's Novi for years (typically twice month - business lunches/dinners).Lately the portions have been severely lacking. For a $30.00 Scallop special (the taste was good)The dish came with a bed of rice and (3) quarter size scallops. SERIOUSLY for $30! When it was brought out my out of town guest began to laugh. When we asked Management, we were told it was a Andiamo Corporate decision to charge $30 for basically a rice dish with seared scallops lollipops. They have also have taken away the potatoes with the Filet with Zip Sauce (6 -8oz. Steak with grean beans and carrots only). Again a Corporate decision. PENNY WISE DOLLAR FOOLISH! I was embarrassed and will look for a new restaurant to entertain."

"Other than our arrival, everything was great. Our server was fantastic, food was good. The entertainment was romantic & fun. The bad part:I had made reservations a month in advance. I was impressed when I walked in, however our party of 4 that was dressed to impress was seated on the seasonal patio where everything looked worn and there was no entertainment, and freezing! With a reservation, I expect to have a seat that was not placed in an "overflow area". Not to mention it was 20 degrees outside and they were unable to adequately heat the outdoor patio for this weather. After asking to be moved, our very rude hostess moved us indoors and there were many tables open, and no need to seat people outside in the first place."

"Andiamo Novi delivers consistent quality every time. The food is very good and the wine list does not disappoint. Sometimes they will have wine off list so ask your server if you don't see what you are looking for. This particular restaurant is connected to the comedy club so it can get a bit loud, but always a good time. If you are looking to go out, have a great meal and enjoy a show with a group I would highly recommend this restaurant. It works for a special occasion/romantic night out as well as they do a great job separating the show crowd from the main dining room. Prices are reasonable, but not inexpensive. What you might expect for this type of restaurant. Have never had bad service at this Andiamo."

"I appreciate you contacting me regarding our experience at the Novi Andiamo. Generally, I am not critical, but you asked for my opinion, so here it is.
My wife and I decided to go to Andiamo Novi because we used to live in Macomb, and had many very nice experiences at the Lakeside resturaunt.
We moved to Plymouth, and our closest location is in Novi. We were not happy with the Novi location because of the following issues:
-it was very cold in the resturaunt
-it did not seem like an intimate setting
-service was good, but not spectacular
-pasta meat sauce was excellent, (as always), but main course chicken was overcooked, although under a very nice sauce.

"Andiamo used to be our go to restaurant for some decent food and a nice dining experience without breaking the bank. This last trip to Andiamo left a lot to be desired. Our calamari was a bit over cooked and our entrees were really underwhelming. The chicken in my pasta dish had such a funky texture. I think they have really fallen my the wayside on food quality, although our server was still excellent. Looks like I'm not the only one who thinks this as the restaurant was pretty dead for a Friday night."

"This entire chain has no direction. Its caught between 1960's schmaltz east Detroit Italian decor and strange modern accents. A $40.00 Filet is served with a cheap side of spagetti as the only option. Entire staff seemed to hurry us along for no reason (they are never that busy) Busboy waited at our table staring at me hoping to get an empty plate to remove - creepy. All of the staff WAS pushing their newly added comedy / entertainment club (Novi location) They will feature such acts as "The Ratpack" proving, again the owners are stuck in another era. Oddly, when they bough Mesquite Creek in Clarkston I thought they would ruin the place, but they mostly left it alone. They should copy that formula in other restaurants."

"This was the worst time I have ever had at any of the Andiamo restaurants. The service was the worst. We were seated upon arrival however waited 15 minutes for glasses of water to be poured and 15 additional minutes before a server showed up. Mind you we were seated in the bar area because we requested booth seating and the bar area had 12 guest at the most in it. The server said that he wasn't aware that he had our table. In my opionion if this was his area he should at least be keeping and eye on the area. He didn't introduce himself until my husband asked him his name. We placed our order and then waited 20 minutes for it to arrive again there were a minimal amount of guess. I will not be returning!"

"Andiamo's food is not good enough to warrant the high prices. Our waitress was terrific though. My filet seemed to have a 2nd sauce that was mixed with the zip sauce that killed the wonderful taste of a filet. I suspect that mushroom sauce was added (as on the menu) and then the mushrooms were removed when the mistake was noticed. I put nothing on my filet w/zip, I like the taste of the meat so it ruined the meal for me. We ordered a chocolate cake for dessert "to go." I think it was old - rubbery, dry and tasteless. Even the mousse filling was rubbery. We had a very bad service/over an hour to get our food experience, at the Dearborn Adiamo's in December so we're done. It's too expensive to have mediocre food & inconsistent service."
