"We had an AWFUL experience at Andiamo Royal Oak!! We made a reservation, then had to wait over a 1/2 hour for a table on a Sunday at 5:30pm. The chicken dishes ordered by (2) people in our party were cold. And the chicken meat was tough and stringy. The waiter was not very attentive to our needs. He got our orders wrong and walked away from our table while we were still talking to him about our meals. The meals were bad and to top it off were were over charged on our bill! I would NOT recommend this resturant!"

"Shoved in a corner, waitress said you didn't have shaved cheese for salad, when just 2 minutes before we watched at the next table the waitress put shaved cheese on their salads and ground pepper. She didn't offer us any ground pepper on either salad or main meal. The pepper wouldn't even come out. I won a gift certificate at a fundraiser and we used it to celebrate my birthday with my family. If I got another certificate I would give it away for the food we got wasn't exactly how it was described on the menue and the price we paid I sure won't be back and some of my family won't either"

"At 6pm Tuesday we had the place almost to ourselves. We were seated in a booth in the back corner by a window and noticed that the floor / booth where not level. This made it a little more uncomfortable than is normal for the bolt-upright bench seats.
The server was spot on and did a nice job but my filet was way over cooked. I ordered medium but there was only the slightest hint of pink in the very center. Portion size was good as was the side of spaghetti with meat sauce. (I was never asked if I wanted meat or not in the sauce). The house salad was very good but had too much dressing. The bread was good as were the green beans that were served with my meat.
My wife had ravioli and gave it "good" rating."

"Made the reservation on-line which was a plus even though we didn't need a reservation. Wait staff and assistants were very attentive at all times. Food preparation was excellent, presentation outstanding and portions were just right!"

"I wouldn't call the Restaurant anything you have listed under #2 if you want me to quote a phrase "acceptable if you don't want to drive further". Our dinner was anything but memorable. Maybe I should restate that "no attention to detail made it very memorable". Lets start with me reservation, 5 days in advance and we get the table at the kitchen entrance, there were many open tables but we were put here. I am a tall man I actual had to duck for servers while I was seated, are you kidding me! Then the server screwed up 3 of 6 drinks ordered and tried to tell my wife that a long island ice tea was suppose to taste like regular tea, really? The food was good but not $28 a plate good. I like Andiamos generally from my experiences in Novi.But."

"Apart from the valet, service and Espresso Martini's, the food was mediocre at best. Two of us ordered the bone-in NY strip and it had NO flavor and not cooked to order. And the blue crab stuffed shrimp that was on special was horrible - the shrimp was overcooked and again NO flavor. Very disappointed. For a nice dinner, I'll stick with Ruth Chris or Mitchell's."

"we had a short amount of time the waiter was amazing the salad and pasta were good ...the minestrone soup was too veggie not enough broth and the veal picata was not the finest white veal and was rather chewy. We did get out in the amount of time we needed, Thank you for your help."

"Went with a group of 4 and overall had a great experience. The portobello mushrooms & crab cakes were great appetizers. The wines we had were Ruffino Modus & Steltzner Claret - Both moderately priced and very good. I ordered Veal Marsala and it was delicious. My wife ordered Chicken Scallopini that was very tasty. Our friends ordered a Veal Chop and pasta dish which were both great."

"Andiamo Royal Oak is a great place for a tasty Italian dinner at a reasonable price. Good service and a fun atmosphere, great for people watching both inside and looking out onto Main street if seated at a booth. Convenient lot parking directly behind makes for an easy in and out."

"Service was superb. Our waiter showed that he really cared about us as an individual couple. I had salmon that was a bit dry in the middle and crispy at the ends; but the accompaniments on the plate made the whole thing delicious. My wife had crab-stuffed shrimp. The salsa that accompanied it was unremarkable but made a very nice plate and the shrimp itself was delicious. I started with a white rum martini - typical for me when there's fish on the menu. I have it a lot and this was the best I've ever had. Don't exactly know why, but it was. We had a chardonnay from the cheap list, came from Traverse City. It was excellent ! accompanied the meal exactly as it should."

"We visited Andiamo Royal Oak for a birthday dinner and also to use a gift card we received. We walked away very impressed with all aspects of our experience. Our server, Crissy, was outstanding. Food was very well done, proper temperature, great taste. Ambiance was good. This was our first time dining at Andiamo Royal Oak, and we will be back!"

"I did not enjoy this dining experience at all. We got their around 4 when the restaurant had just opened. It was very cold inside. I had to keep my coat on the entire time we were there (about two hours) because it never did warm up much. The service was good but the food was mediocre at best. Nothing special or that would bring me back to the restaurant."

"Food was good, but it took two tries to get my guests steak order right. Food arrived at an staggered pace which was awkward. Kitchen was slow. Multiple requests for tea refills necessary all evening. No manager around. Wouldn't go back to eat."

"The food was ok, I ordered the bone in rib-eye medium, when it cam it was much closer to medium well, when the waitress, took it back the Chef returned it to where he had cut it down the center and said to me see it pink in the center, my husband ask him to simply remake it, hesitantly he return the steak to the kitchen and returned with a new one, which was prepared perfectly. My husband's chicken, which sounded wonderful on paper was no more than a breaded chicken breast with a slice of melted cheese and tomato sauce, very tasteless. I have eaten there many time and sure I will go back, it's just the nature of chains."
