El Callejon - Vista

We are a Mexican restaurant like you never seen before in the US.

We pride ourselves to prepare our dishes the old fashion Mexican way. We use truly Mexican traditional dishes and we do not offer any of the typical southwest options. Our sauces are delicious. We offer chipotle, poblano, mole. cilantro and many other options with either fish, shrimp, chicken and meat.

Our bar is also special. We have one of the largest collections of tequila. Over 1000 bottles and counting. We are like a tequila museum Our margaritas are also made the way they are supposed to be made. Freshly squeezed lime juice, triple sec and tequila. You are going to love them.

Hope to see you soon...

"Our first time eating here and we walked in to hear live 70's music for Cinco de Mayo in an "Authentic Mexican" restaurant - What? Perhaps it was this strange contrast that made staff miss their focus on the job of customer service. Water, salsa, chips had to be asked for on multiple occasions and with multiple staff - I was surprised the food even arrived. That was the redeeming quality of this place - the food was very good. My wife missed not seeing on the menu her favorite dishes of Albondigas soup and Camerones de Diabla, but she still loved the dish she chose. Compare the prices to other great Mexican restaurants in the area: almost double the normal rate. Worth the price? Not for us."
