"First, let me say the food is just incredible. Fish was the freshest and most delicious we ever had. Our desert was phenomenal, from gelato, to cheesecake, to best baklava I ever had. Ambiance is very pleasant and soft music on the background was subtle and pleasant.
But beware of coming here on a "special" day, such as Mother's day, as we have. I called in advance to avoid getting a too-large-to-handle prix fixe. I was assured we could still order from the regular menu, then I double checked saying the website had a Mother's day dinner menu (we came for lunch) and again, "regular menu will be available.... IT WAS NOT - having all family over, we had little choice and stayed and ordered more than we would have otherwise."

"Made resevation based on prices published on website menu.
For instance Chilean Bass on Website Menu $28.00. Price on Restuarant menu $54.00. When I questioned the disparity I was told " hey, its Mothersday, we have to make ours ". Will not return to this restaurant. They got me once."

"Lithos is always very good. We have dined here many times since it opened. We took our mother here for Mother's Day and the food was excellent. One negative thing was it was a price fix and we did not know it. I made reservations on line and was unaware. The food again was excellent but way too much food. Older people just don't eat that much. I feel they need to think about this type of price fix for Mother's Day since it was expensive, everything was in the $50 range and our mother ate very little.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our food from appetizers through dessert. The ambiance is upscale and very attractive. The service could use some improvement - we have been here before and had much better service. We found our waiter to be completely without personality, and even though he was no youngster, he acted like he never served food before. Besides the fact that he was really nervous and heavily perspiring, small things were obvious, like the fact that he leaned the wine bottle on each glass, and generally seemed out completely of place. The busboy starting clearing some dishes before everyone at the table was finished eating. A nice meal, but the service staff may need some re-training on some finer points."

"Overall a special place with much done very well. Decor is stunning, food very good & service terrific. Mina was our waiter; very helpful & attentive. Try the vegetable chip, zucchini and summer squash, that is thinly sliced and somehow fried but not greasy...Just a wonderful crispness with delicious seasoning and delicate sliced zucchini. The grilled octopus was outstanding as well. We were sold on the huge prawns. Unfortunately, they were slightly overdone & for $50 an entree, that was a disappointment (Mina didn't tell us how much the chefs special cost.). The prawns were grilled but it was missing that smoky grilled flavor. Just a final word...other reviews have mentioned the valet parking. Be aware that you do not have to use it."

Pointless valet parking since the lot is small.
A note to restaurant. When a couple is sitting in a corner at a table for two on a Friday night, you don't sit a mother and her 6 year old next to them especially when the restaurant is half-full."

"Our Easter Sunday dinner at Lithos Estiatorio could not have been better! The prix fixe menu was not only interesting, varied, and a great value, but each item that was ordered at our table of six was so flavorful and absolutely delicious. It addition to Easter Sunday, it was also my husband's birthday and to our delight, we were seated at the chef's table. Sitting in the private alcove made my family feel almost like we had our own private room. The service was very warm and attentive and we had a wonderful time. We usually go out for dinner on Easter and any restaurants fall apart on holidays....but not Lithos Estiatorio! We plan to return."

"Excellent Greek food. We had broiled fish which was fileted after cooking. One should be mindful that the fish is sold by the pound, usually around $25 or so; if the fish are large, the portions could be excessive and the price rather steep. Better to share as the weight of an individual fish approaches 2 pounds. We enjoyed the zucchini and eggplant chip appetizer, two of the salads, and pistachio gelato. Everything was truly faultless including the coffee. We plan to go back soon to try the $27 prix fixe menu served on weekday evenings which could be an outstanding value if quality is comparable to our dinner a few evenings ago."

"I've enjoyed dinner here and was looking forward to trying them for lunch. Made a reservation for noon on Saturday and met two friends (coming from separate directions in separate cars) and we walked in. The door was open but the woman inside informed us they didn't open on weekends until 5:00 PM. She then continued her phone conversation as if we weren't there. No apology for their error in setting up OpenTable. Their website doesn't mention hours of operation and I am STILL able to make reservations at noon on Saturday or Sunday on OpenTable. They really need to address this issue ASAP."

"This was our second visit to Lithos and was a totally different experience than our first visit. The server was inattentive and did not come over for quite some time. When he did, he asked us what kind of water we wanted. Nothing about drinks. Then he came over and said let me take your order, still without asking us if we wanted a cocktail.It just continued with poor service. I had the lamb chops and they were difficult to cut even with a steak knife. Very disappointing and you should have great service when paying top dollar."

"The food and service were wonderful. The appetizer menu is long and is always the focus of our visits. We were particularly impressed by the desserts during our last visit. The staff is very attentive, although it seemed like we had 4 or 5 different people who waited on us!"
