"We loved stepping into a different time and space. The Southern ambiance and fare was a great escape for my wife and I. The pimento cheese and ham salad with tea bread and the biscuits and cornbread basket with the divine honey butter were fun starters. I had the fried chicken and mashed potatoes and felt like I was eating in a Southern kitchen from 50 years ago. My wife had a sampling of the different sides (mac and cheese, squash casserole, and the best fried okra we've ever experienced) for her entree and she is eager to sample the rest next time. Sissy's did not disappoint with the attention to details in its design, staff attire, and culinary offerings. Thanks Sissy!"

"Appetizers and sides are all great, the whole menu has many intriguing and tasty options, but the star of the show is the chicken. Cut into smallish pieces, the crisp home-made taste of the chicken and delicious crust is balanced perfectly. The genteel mod-Southern decor belies a vibrant and fun crowd dining here, and if conversation is on the menu, best to choose lunchtime. Dinner service can be crazy loud."

"The chicken was salty. It seemed crazy to have to buy a basket of rolls and biscuits for $8 or 9. The salads were delicious but $9 was pricey for the serving provided."

"I had such a great experience at Sissy's. The food was delicious, wanted to try everything on the drink menu, and loved the atmosphere. I felt like I was in someone's kitchen. The bourbon bread pudding was amazing!"

"For this southern girl, Sissy's offers great old fashioned southern cuisine that I ate growing up but with a twist. My friends and I love this place lunch or dinner. The layered salad and fried chicken are divine!"

"Food very good. Fried oysters and fried green tomato appetizers can't be beat. Portions were more than ample. Only knock was the Saturday night we were there the noise level was fairly high, although the porch area were we sat as slightly more tolerable than the main dining room."

"Can't wait to go back! Deviled eggs, chicken & mac-n-cheese were spot on. Need more people to share with. Portions are family style in size. The two of us did our best. Oh and put the sissy sauce on everything including deviled eggs and mac!!!!"

"Really great restaurant! Food was wonderful and their specialty cocktails were even better. Service was slightly off- the person who helped us wasn't actually our assigned waiter, which seemed slightly confusing for him. Very nice and not bad wait times, regardless."

"Very fun spot and unique menu. I was glad to see that it had a "hip" decor, and did not look like a diner! Six of us sat at a high top table, which was nice. My only complaint is I wish it wasn't quite so noisy!"

"Have been to Sissy's in the past. Food was fabulous as usual. However, we had a waiter that must have lost our order. We waited over an hour to just get our appetizers. Other than fair service, I would recommend Sissys. Looks like their popularity has impacted their service. Tables around us looked a bit frustated also. Hopefully, the service issue will be addressed soon."

"Second time at Sissy's. Both were memorable in terms of food, service and ambiance. Best fried chicken I've ever tasted; biscuits light as air, coconut cream pie superb. Will go again and again."

"We had friends from the upper Midwest come to visit so we wanted to take them to a Southern style restaurnat. Sissy's couldnt have been more perfect. It is classic southern, right down to the china and mint julips. The food was excellent, the best fried chicken I have ever had, and the service was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I can't wait to go back."

"Food was fantastic! My boyfriend and I both had the 2 piece chicken meal. He got the coleslaw, I had the potatoes. It was all fantastic. We each got a biscuit with our meal. Our waiter recommended this Berry Jelly that really was just wonderful. The food came out quick. The entire staff was attentive and friendly. I really couldn't say anything negative about the experience. It was all wonderful."

"We tried for a month to go but every time it was 5:15 or 8:30 or 9:00 . I finally gave in because it was my birthday and I wanted to eat there! I called same time !! I said maybe 6:00 ? Answer No ! So I did open table at 5:15 !! My choice would have been 6:00 or 6:30 ,, we got there on time and there was maybe 3 couples in rest ! We were on patio with only one other person ! There were tables inside that I would rather have been but they did ask so I let it go ! When we left around 7:00 there 4 tables on patio that were empty . Tables in rest had 3 empty tables ! So my question is What was the reason Why we could not have come around 6:00... Lots of empty tables ! I will not do another reservation for 5:15 !"

"Still love the chicken and it is fantastic for leftovers the next day. Tried the fried pickles this time and enjoyed those. The greens are some of the best I've had, great side dish with the chicken. If you can get a seat at the bar, nice place to have a drink before dinner. If you are looking for a quiet romantic place for dinner, this is not the place. Good vibe - people laughing and enjoying themselves. Service is good and you never feel rushed. Maybe next time I'll try something other than the chicken."

"Wonderful as usual, but stung by the $16 for four slices of fried green tomatoes, wouldn't have ordered if we'd known how expensive they were! Also asked to split slaw and potato with the chicken, and were charged extra. Confused as to why this was so expensive when everything else is reasonable..."

"Aftee months of wanting to go with my girlfriend, we were finally able to go. We had heard a lot of hype about the restaurant uortunately, with so many other dallas things, we both found the restaurant incredibly overhyped. The food was average at best. We ordered fried pork ribs, fried green tomatoes and a basket of biscuits/muffins as appetizer. The biscuits were the best part of the meal but $9 for 3-4 biscuits and 3-4 muffins is ridiculous. For dinner we both had the fried chicken with mashed potatoes. While the chicken was juicy (a result of being cooked in a pressure cooker and not necessarily the batter) the coating and spices were okay but nothing to rave about. Total bill for food alone was $64. Restaurant was loud."

"A bit disappointed after hearing all the hype. We made reservations early to avoid the crowds and wanted to chill a bit. Ordered a glass of wine and talked a bit, but then when ordering food it came out immediately. I felt rushed! Chicken was over-spiced and dry so I assumed it had been under a light or "stewing" for a while. Decorations, menu graphics and dishes all very nice. Food, nothing to crow about!"

"Went here with a group of friends and family on Sat night and actually had to call to change the number in the reservation from 5 to 7 and they were able to accommodate, so A+ there. The food was stop your heart, southern comfort, I want to eat more even though I am so full GOOD! Definitely get the fried chicken and mashed potatoes, deviled eggs with caviar, quail and ribs. That was just my wife's and my order. Quite honestly, everything our table ordered was delicious. The only negatives I can give them are their beer and wine menus are not very extensive and their cocktails are a bit overpriced. All in all, I can't wait to go back!"

"All of the sides and appitizers were very good. Had the chicken and it was not very good. Strange cut of the breast and the bread(?) coating was not very good. Either take it off the menu or learn to do it right."
