Bistro B + Wine Bar
An eclectic & global diversified menu highlights Bistro B & Wine Bar’s menu here in Kernersville, located in the "Heart of the Triad" of North Carolina. Tapas & Mezze are featured in the menu & include plated entrees & starters. Our menu features flavors from Spain, Greece & France and also intertwines flavors from South America including Venezuela to Argentina. Chef/Proprietor Timothy A. Bocholis has paid his dues in the industry, working with 4 "James Beard Award Winning Chefs", Bob Kinkead in Washington, D.C., Douglas Rodriquez, in Miami, back to D.C. with acclaimed Chef Jose Andres from Barcelona,Spain, & Charlie Palmer. Chef Bocholis, a C.I.A. graduated in Hyde Park, NY, has traveled & worked abroad in Madrid & Seville, Spain, Santa Barbara, CA & Isle de Margarita, Venezuela. Beef Carpaccio to Lamb Empanadas with Mint Mojo to Garidas Saganaki (Shrimp with Ouzo) are always a hit, don't pass on the Tuna Ceviche "Fire & Ice". Ambiance & decor make for a perfect evening to relax!!

"Bistro B is the finest restaurant in the Triad! What a gem in Kernersville! I always leave there feeling fully satisfied with the meal, but never uncomfortably full! The staff is very well informed about the menu and wine pairings and, at the same time, are down to earth friendly!"

"We have been here before and like the place a lot. The food was not as good as previously, perhaps because we avoided trying things we had had before. Service was a wee bit sketchy. It seemed like our waiter was not quite geared up for the evening service (we went around 6). Overall rating remains very positive because of prior experiences."

"Overall it was a very good evening. My wife and I decided to try some of the tapas items. This was a great way to sample more of the interesting items onthe menu. We had a nice salad, calamari, hanger steak and scallops. All of them were very good except the hanger steak. The hanger steak had good flvor and the only reason I didn't rate it excellent was the uneven cooking, one end was very rare and other was well done.
We split the Creme Brulee which had a great taste but the topping of sugar and Grand Mariner was over cooked to the point of being looking like a piece of black glass and was not edible in the middle.
Even with these issues with the hanger steak and creme brulee my wife and I will be going back for another visit."

"The food was very good The decor was pleasant but the music was way too loud for conversation. I would have liked it if the restaurant had a menu that paired the wine teh extensive list of Tapas. Overall, I would reccomend it to a friend and would eat thier agian."

"My wife and I are foodies by all description of the word and we were blown away! We took another couple out for my wife's birthday and it was by far the best overall experience I (we) have ever had...and that's saying a lot.

"We have visied Bistro B many times over the last few years. This was the very first time that we were disappointed. The restaurant was very busy that night, but the staff was handling that pretty well. Todd our waiter was as good as ever, although a bit hurried.
The oyster appetizer we ordered came quickly and was delicious. We both ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and were informed that it would be Snapper instead, which was fine with us. When it arrived, the presentation looked nice, but the fish was actually rather charred around the edges and did have a somewhat burned flavor. We did not complain or anything, as it was not that bad, just not quite what we are used to from this usually fabulous restaurant."

"This was our second trip to Bistro B. The food was amazing before, but this time not so much. While our waiter was excellent, some of the food tasted burned. We would have sent it back, but we did not have time to do that. As before, they did not have the wine we ordered & subbed with another at same price. A dissapointment. Everyone did enjoy the appertizers. Try the Yuka! Unless you like chard tasting scallops, don't order them. Lamb was ok. Veal was good. Steak was fine. Next time we'll stick with Tapas. That seems to be the specialty."

"Had a great meal here. Maybe one of the best tapas places I have ever been. The chef had worked with Jose Andres in DC area, and I have been to those restaurants (Jaleo, Zaytinia, etc.) and I thought this meal was way better. More flavorful and a broad range of tastes and textures. Would definitely go back!

"Once seated it was very good. However up non arrival we gave them out name and said we had reservations. I hostess tried to seat as a table for two which could maybe fit two very skinny elementary students. When told that would not work she told us to wait and she would talk to the manager. Upon returning she proceeded to inform us our reservation was for that table and if we did not take that table we would not be seated. I asked to speak with manager. Who came out to talk to me with an attitude. Upon looking at where the hostess was trying to seat us, she split a table of two into two tables of two. The original table where they tried to seat is was removed. The manager did seat us but with a hostile attitude and never once apologized."
