"My wife's Mother's Day pick. We tried the "snake bites" which had a nice kick but the server warned us. The quesadillas were good. The guacamole was great as well as the Cadillac margarita although a little pricey and charged extra for frozen. Our oldest son tried the burrito prenada for two and it was huge. The only negative with the burritos was the meats were hard and tasted like they may not have been fresh. My El Paso burrito was good but the carnitas was tough and flavorless. My wife loved her chile rellenos. We were too full for dessert. Maybe next time."

"Very small restaurant. Great chips & salsa - but kind of lame to bring one small salsa for four people to share.Margaritas were pretty tasty - even their "skinny" version. Food was just OK. Everyone had somethingdifferent & no one raved about their oh ice. Service was just OK. We may go back & try it again."

"This truly is a neighborhood gem. I was looking for good mexican food to treat my wife with for Valentine's Day. She loves authentic mexican, and has gotten a little burned out with our own nearby (Pasadena) mexican. So with high hopes, I took her to El Hildago for a quiet valentine dinner. I would classify this as a "hole-in-the-wall". Don't get me wrong, because some of the best food I have found comes from the small, owner run hole in the wall's. The dinner was mas excelente. Otherwise, the ambiance and noise level was less that desirable for a "quiet" dinner. All in all, GOOD FOOD."
