"This was the first time my wife and I dined at The Melting Pot. Among all of the restaurants in Somerville, this one truly stands out with its concept. Our waiter was very friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and guided us through the process of how to cook our food in the fondue pots. I would recommend choosing the 4 course specials, which save you a couple of dollars compared to ordering a-la-carte. The ambiance is perfect for fondue-style dining.
My only criticism is directed toward the diners that were there Saturday night: DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN. We are all paying a premium for a unique dining experience, and it is incredibly rude toward the other customers and the restaurant staff to deal with their yelling and running around."

"We have been to many Melting Pots and on this evening it was not up to par. They seated our server with 4 or 5 tables at the same time. Because we were "vets" he served us, but really gave us very little attention. He was personable and efficient, but part of the Melting Pot experience is the server interaction and he just didn't have time. Secondly, I received a coupon by email that said we had a gift of 6 chocolate covered strawberries. When we got home I opened the box there were 3. Not sure if I read something wrong, but I feel pretty sure it said 6. Finally, the servings seems to have gotten smaller in the last year. Not sure if that is restaurant specific or the whole chain. That is disappointing. Also, BRING BACK ONION RINGS!!!!"

"This is the third Melting Pot I've visited, and it was exactly what I expected. Great fondue, friendly staff, quality breads/meats/desserts. Brownie bites covered in dark chocolate are how I wish I could end every meal."

"We went here to celebrate our anniversary. The food was delicious, however, our server lacked service. We asked for water, we got our cheese fondue and our salad before we got water. We had to flag down a manager to bring us water. From that point on the manager kept checking on our table. We really enjoyed our meal but the service definitely took away from it."

"We enjoyed the experience, the flexibility we were offered with different diners needing options, and our server was a patient, friendly and very helpful young man!! Very nice wine choices. The only down was the items they give for dessert fondue. The consensus was that the cheesecake, strawberries, pound cake are great, the rest they can keep."

"We had a very enjoyable time. Fixed menu was perfect for Valentine's Day and the waiter was extremely friendly and helpful being as this was out first time there. Having a booth to ourselves was also a plus which lessened the noise and added to the romantic side. We will return soon."
