"We waited 10 minutes to had someone served us. No one even came to bring us water or bread or even to let us now that he will be right there in a few minutes. We felt like we were being ignored and we were invisible. Server did not even apologize. My husband was pretty upset. But food was pretty good."

"We had a very nice brunch for Mother's Day. Service was very good as was the food. The only thing is the area for the actual brunch set up was a little small."

"Took my mom there for mother's day brunch. It was fine- the decor was slightly dated (mothers day ice sculptures and what looked like wrinkled pink satin sheets draped everywhere. The food was also fine. The live jazz band was great, as was the ambience (except for the above mentioned special mother's day decorations.) I'd go back to try it again on a normal day."

"I booked a reservation at Broadway grill for their mothers day brunch. when we arrived, the restaurant was nearly empty, yet they arrested us upstairs, despite my mom - who is in her seventies being with us.
the selection of food was pretty small, and most of it was poorly prepared. waffles were limp, there was no butter too put on them. breakfast potatoes had a yellow color, but no crunch. there was an omlet station, turning out the world's fastest inlets - complete with uncooked contents, yum. the mini filet minions were overcooked and chewy. the mustard chicken was inedible . I was really disjointed by the fact there were almost no vegetables ( one pan of badly cooked peppers and green beans), and only two salads."

"Needed to find a restaurant near South San Francisco and found Broadway Grill on my Passport Unlimited list and the reviews were pretty good on Yelp so figured we would go there for an early Mother's Day lunch. The service & food was excellent. Would definitely go back when in that area again."

"We were staying near the airport and wanted a good restaurant experience for our last night in the Bay Area. Saw the recommendations on Open Table and were not disappointed! Prime rib was tender and flavorful. Another favorite was the wedge salad. Nice 3 piece band and just the right amount of background noise. Attentive service, too."

"We went to Broadway Grill for Sunday Bruch to celebrate a family birthday. It was great as we had a toddler in our group and wanted something that adults could enjoy but also was kid friendly. The jazz duo that was playing was enjoyable for all of us and the energy brought by the musicians kept both adults and toddler entertained. Since we were there at 11:00 on a Sunday, we appreciated the menu which offered both breakfast and lunch items. I greatly enjoyed the Croque Madame which was presented with a lovely side salad of arugula, mandarins and dried cranberries. We had a wonderful server who was attentive and yet not intrusive. We also enjoyed the Bottomless Mimosas and that there is a full bar for those who want something else."

"My husband and I have had dinner at Broadway Grill about 10 times and love the place. I have ordered their Prime Rib Dinner every time and have loved it with only one time exception because it was tough. I'm sure that happens occasionally but never happened again. Just had dinner there with my children and grandkids to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary and we all loved it."

"I planned a team dinner for the VP and her direct reports (including myself). I chose Monday night since it was "Motown Monday". Dinner was excellent - everyone was happy with their choice, the service was friendly and prompt, and the show was wonderful! There were 10 of us at dinner and I received a special "thanks" from everyone for planning the event at such a fun place. Will definitely go back with my husband."

"it is second time we have dinner in the restaurant, food is good. but last Saturday my experience was not good at all. there were no bottles of salt and pepper, i need to ask for butter for my bread. what ruined my dinner experience was when we finished our dinner and had put on our jackets, walked out on hall way, we encountered the manager or supervisor(who wore business suites and had asked us about how food was during our dinner)again, he did not say any word to us(no good night, have a good evening etc.) and walked by us like we were not existed. i have never met such unprofessional restaurant manager or supervisor. Only the reception lady said goodbye to us. the experience was terrible."

"What I love: Menu has lots of options and food is always great! Ambiance is cool and classic
What I'd change: Not much, this is a good bet
Things to note: There are several booths in the restaurant and they are really comfortable There are some other tables that could be considered tight and with considerable less room The Bar is SMALL, but that's ok, as long as you know that
UNIQUE: What makes this a cool, local gem, is that they feature live music with various styles. Check out their website for info They have a small room upstairs for private events as well"

"The look of the place was impressive with lots of wood and white tablecloths. The only booth they told us we could have was underneath the jazz musicians, even though I had made the reservation four days in advance. This turned out to be a negative for us to converse with each other and hear above the music. The service was good and the food tasty, although my trout seemed a bit dry, like it had been sitting in the kitchen for awhile. My friend had no complaints about her onion soup and crab salad."

"It was hard to find a place in Burlingame for Sunday brunch that (a) took resservations, and (b) was kid-friendly. This place fit the bill. Some of the reviews were less than stellar, but we were very satisfied with both the food and the service. Nothing cutting-edge about the menu, but very satisfactory for a family. Only weak point was the coffee. Added attraction on Sunday morning: live jazz!"

"This is my new go-to place when I'm meeting people near SFO. The restaurant is housed in an old building with lots of character. The food was good and the menu variety meant that everyone in our party found something to get excited about. We were surprised to find that there was live music during our dinner. It started out a little loud for our tastes but the second set was quieter and made for a nice accompaniment to our meal."

"We started off on a unhappy note as the greeter was rude and we sat at a table with a draft. We asked to move and they were very accomadating. The waiter Orlando was wonderful and very attentive. The food was excellent, a little slow in arriving. The music was loud and took away from the experience. We will definitely return. Our grandson said it was the best hamburger he ever ate, high praise from a 10 year old."

"We went for Easter and they had a brunch buffet. I have been to Broadway Grill before and it's fine but for brunch, it was horrible. The area was too small for a buffet and the food was not good at all. There was not much variety and it didn't look very appetizing. I'm hoping that this is an aberration because this is a holiday."

"Great food - all the steaks were cooked as ordered. The Fried Calamari was perfectly made not overcooked like other places. The Broadway Grill salad and Clam Chowder were good. My favorite the Miso Glazed Bassa was delicious as usual. The desserts were nicely presented and tasty. The service was fantastic. James made us feel at home which made the dining experience extra special."

"A very nice local restaurant, convenient to SFO serving a wide variety of foods. I had the bone-in rib eye steak. It was particularly well-seasoned with nice blackening, likely from a wood grille. The portion size wasn't huge and the bone was the size of a baby back rib bone. But the steak was tasty and did not have a lot of fat. The wines by the glass selection was limited with only one CA cabernet that was mediocre. But overall I liked it and would return."

"What a fun place! The variety on the Brunch menu was wonderful and everything was delicious. My husband claims that his omelet was the best he had ever had. The eggs were cooked just right, tender and not dried out. My scramble was really tasty with lots of goodies and flavors blended into the eggs. Our entire group enjoyed the brunch, the jazz music and the mimosas. We will definitely come back!"

"I had dinner here with some former coworkers one Friday evening. The wait staff was courteous, and had no problem when we asked to expand our reservation by 1, though they did seem to want us to place our meal orders quickly. The food arrived promptly and was scrumptious--I had the salmon, and enjoyed it immensely, and I didn't hear any complaints from anyone else.
The biggest detractor was that a live band began to play at 8. This greatly increased the background noise and made it hard to hear what anyone was saying. I'm not sure if they play every night, or only on Fridays, but I would check before making a future reservation. However if you enjoy live music, or don't mind eating a little earlier, this is a good, affordable place."

"First time there. Mia tai was terrible. Pot pie was bland and over priced. My friends burger had a good grilled taste but the bun was dry and fell apart. He commented that the fries where like jack in the box.
The waitress never checked on us. We had to keep asking the bus boys for water etc."

"First of all, this was in regards to the Valentines day menu. It was horrible, Risotto came in a pile lumped in an Artichoke, horrible presentation and over cooked. My wife's filet mignon was not cooked to order and was actually tough. The only bright light to a dim dinner is the water and bread, the bread balls were good and filled me up. The service however was excellent they understood we were un happy, i ate my wife's filet and she ordered the fish. I guess they understood since we coughed up 160$ for a dinner we would rather forget about."

"Scheduled lunch there for small group from my office. We were the only ones there since it was 11:30 in the middle of the week so I can't judge the noise level. Food exceeded expectations. Waiter suggested prime rib eggrolls- were delicious. Great variety to traditional burger and very filling. Recommend garlic fries. Service was excellent. Will definitely go back for lunch. If lived closer would be a great place to go with family if wanted good American food."
