"We were 4 persons stopping in pre-concert at the Hard Rock. The restaurant is right at the concert hall enterence, which makes it very easy. We were 25 min.late, but they seated us right away, and made sure we were out in less than 90 min. for our concert. The food was well prepared, tasty and very large entree portions, which could be shared. There large meatball was as good as it is billed to be! This is a great addition to the Hard Rock area."

"When we arrived the dining room was one third filled. I asked for a table with a view of the TVs, but for some reason was denied and put off to the side at a table. Very frustrating, especially when a couple of the tables were still empty when we left!"

"Damianos was better when it first opened. The service was not as good as before recently. I was seated at a table near the kitchen which was quite warm. The restaurant was hardly filled due to a rainy night. The waitress did not get our order correct. The coffee was cold when it was served. We were told they restaurant had run out of milk-hard to believe."

"A very handsome restaurant and bar, with clean modern lines dinning area has tables and booths. We were a party of three and arrived early on a Sunday evening to take advantage of the "Early Bird" menu. Two in the party did that and both were very pleased with their selections. I picked ala carte and thoroughly enjoyed both the soup (pasta e fagioli)and Chicken Scarpariello. Both of my choices were prepared with skill and far superior to other Italian restaurants in the surrounding communities with similar price points. I would also venture a guess that chef makes his own stocks for soups and as a base for the sauces. The front of the house staff were eager to please and did so. We look forward to a return visit."

"The food is not 5***** but decent. The waiter that served us was polite but needs a great deal more training especially on paying attention to the guests requests. It so happens that I find it to be the case in most South Florida restaurants. And I blame that entirely on management. Bottom line, my wife and I will go back their again since it is convienient to our house and has quieted down a bit since the snowbirds went home."

"Had a very unpleasant dinner tonight. Ordered a fish entree which came with 2 sides - spinach & mashed potatoes. I requested broccoli (and no potatoes) instead and was told that no substitutions we're possible and, if I wanted broccoli, I would have to pay an additional $6.00. The waitress ( who was very good and expained that it was out of her hands) called the manager (Mario) who told me that the substitution was not possible because "broccoli is more expensive than spinach and potatoes." REALLY? We were 6 people who were all dumbfounded by his response. Certainly not customer friendly. There are just too many other restaurants in this area that are welcoming and eager to please. None of us will go back to Damiano's."

"Went to Damianos two weeks ago for the first time. Very good. Returned this past Saturday night. Food and drinks are over-priced, but I knew that going in. This time service was so awful that I will never return."

"We were very disappointed in the quality of the food in proportion to the price. Both entrees were tasteless. My companion requested a different sauce for his pasta and was told that he would be charged more for the "up-grade". Any other restaurant would have called that a "choice" with no additional charge. Enough said; will not return or recommend !!"

"The food was very good, but overpriced. The drinks were overpriced and weak on alcohol. Our server, Nick, was fantastic. He even got the charge for the weak drinks reversed! The noise level is very loud, unless you sit all the way in the back. If you can get past the overpricing, you can have a good time and a very good meal."

"In addition to the fact that the food is over priced and under seasoned, the fact that you are charged a $3.00 "upcharge" to substitute one $6 side dish for one of equal value is unacceptable. The manager tells you this is their policy because the chef wants it that way and it's basically easier for them to plate the food without having to actually change anything. Well, I say good luck to the chef in the unemployment line when this restaurant closes in a year."

"Was looking forward to a great evening How ever that wasn't the case on this Saturday night 0nce were seated 7:15 we had to wait for a 10 min for our server to come and tell au that what was on the web site is no longer on the menu we ask so why was it still up on the site no ans. once our order was put in ahead of a lot other other tables it din't come for out 20 min .we asked our server and said it would be out in 5 min but really it would be 8 min We order 4 different dishes and everybody was taken aback by the small amount of food that was on our plates. this is not the kind of service that i'm use to in any ( up scale restaurant."

"Prices are a bit high, but typical for Boca. Food was decent, however, desserts were not great at all---tiramisu was ordinary and cannoli cake was very dry. We had a group of 8 women sharing 2 desserts and neither one got finished---that should tell you something!!! Burrata appetizer was very good, and the bread was yummy too. The waitress made a point to bring some garlic and some plain for our large group."

"creek damiana useI I have been back to Diamanio's twice. Our service has been excellent and and the restaurant is quieter than most Florida restaurants in season. They do pasta very well and I've enjoyed both the shrimp scampi and the shrimp fried diabolo, the latter of which was surprisingly well seasoned. My favorite dish so far is the chicken scarpariello but the veal Parmesan is also very good. My only disappointment was the veal marsala. It tasted like a brown sauce with no flavor of the marsala. A meal is never complete without dessert and their chocolate cake with brandy cherries is delicious and better than any black forest cake I ever had. Portions are huge which makes this an exceptionally good and reasonable restaurant."

"Have dined here several times. Enjoy the ambiance, food and service. We had an excellent caesar salad as a starter, continued with Arthur Avenue pizza and braised beef over pollenta (to die for) and finished with wonderful cappucino and espresso. "we were very pleased with the food. service , coordinating food to the table with the correct timing was little off. ie. we had toa ask for bread qite awhile after we sere seated. main dish arrived and an "side order" came after the dish was mostly eaten. coffee was not hot...even the refill! we would definately return ...but not on a Sat. night "during season"!"

"We were surprised when we walked in to Damiano's that it's a sports bar with TV's with different games on. We thought it would be an upscale Italian restaurant. Disappointed, but I guess if we knew what it was going to be like it would've been okay. Waitress didn't tell us the specials until I mentioned it to her as she was bringing us our food. They were "just" out of a $45 bottle of wine and ended up with another one. The food was okay and the portions were shareable, which we didn't realize until they brought them out. Two of us took half of our meals home, and when I went to heat it up, the waitress had given us the others food. For the type of place and food it was too expensive. Won't be back."

"Found the prices to be on the high side for the ambiance and type of restaurant that it is. The menu is quite different from the one that is shown on-line. They do not honor reservations very well. I am not rushing back there."

"It was bad overall. The waiter didn't come by for atleast 15 minutes. Had to ask for water. then had to wait for bread that was bad. once we finally got our food it was terrible. Manager was also rude. We'll never go back."

"Our reservation was at 7:30, but we didn't get seated until 8:15. The restaurant was so crowded that the first table offered to us couldn't be reached because it was blocked by other tables. Our waitress was serving many tables and we didn't get our food until well after 9:00. That being said, the food was good and the portions were generous. The restaurant was too crowded for the kitchen and wait staff to serve in a reasonable time."

"Food was fine. Service was horrific. Would not return.
Took 15 minutes to get regular water for the table after having to ask 3 times.
Then waited almost an hour after our appetizers were taken away for our main dishes. First we were told "they will be up in any minute". Then when we complained that a twosome that came in 30 minute after us had been served we were told " well they are only two people" and the waiter implied my wife was "obviously a tough women" for complaining. Finally, they acknowledged that somehow our food had been given to another table and everything had to be cooked again.
Mistakes happen. Just own up to them. Plenty of good local Italian alternatives such as Villa Rosano are better alternatives."

"We tried Damiano for first time as we live in neighborhood. The service was great as was the food. A little pricy for some items but overall great experience and we will definitely go back. The chef made a mistake with one of our orders and while it took a while to get it right, the waiter was on top of it. Everything fresh and served nicely. A neighborhood find!"

"Walking in,it was so noisy with canned music we almost turned around and left. But we were seated away from the bar, and it was quieter. Service is good. We started with Fried Calamari and it was delicious, light and flaky with 2 sauces, Fra Diavolo and tomato. My main dish, Zuppa de Pesce was ALMOST a winner. The clams were served whole and sweet, but the sauce never got into the linguini, so I left it over. My husband ordered meatball, sausage and beef over pasta. He was disappointed... the sausage had too much fennel for him, and the meatball had too much filler, and again, the sauce never really got into the pasta. Dessert was sweet and light Tiramisu. Needs a little punch here and there, growing pains.It could be terrific.."

"A Boca-based Italian joint. Great for meeting friends for a night out. Bar is pretty busy. Inside is very attractive. An older, wealthier crowd -- see Boca-based above.
The food is better than what we normally find -- pizza is very fresh tasting. We had pastas and veal dishes and they were excellent. Good wines. We have been twice and loved it both times."
