"Beautiful Southern home converted into a restaurant, located off the beaten track in Little River. It was fairly quiet while we were eating, earlier in the morning, but we could see that they were gearing up for more customers later in the day. They offered a varied brunch menu with specials fit for Mother's Day, including drinks. We each enjoyed our entrees (french toast and eggs benedict) as well as the quaint atmosphere. It could get a little noisy with the hardwood floors and stairs leading to more seating upstairs, but nothing too distracting. We especially appreciated the little boy who brought roses to each of the mothers after they had finished their meals. We would definitely be interested in going back to check out the dinner menu"

"Lots of choices for vegetarians. Ordered the Napoleon which wasn't a Napolean just a soupy stew with a phillo bisquit with it. Good but not how described on menu. Other members of our party liked their meals quite a bit. Desserts were delicious."

"The restaurant is in an old house and features multiple small dining rooms. Our room, off the main entrance, contained four tables and hardwood floors, so a loud guest in the room can easily be heard by the other three tables. The wine list is very well constructed and very fairly priced - some bottles are even listed at what is essentially current retail. Corkage is a fair $15/btl and stemware is appropriate. Menu options are plentiful, from a la carte, to a four course pixe fix, ending with a seven course tasting menu with three tiers priced from $70 to $145 (+\-), not including wine. Service is attentive and correct and the kitchen executed perfectly. Chef Eric has created a true fine dining destination."

"Classic converted old house, with excellent ambiance. The food was great, the service top-notch with friendly and obliging wait staff. We were given a private room on the 2nd floor where 14 of us could get a little loud and not bother the other patrons. A very good evening!"

"It was our 50th wedding anniversary. The food and the entire experience was special. They had even sprinkled rose petals on the table. My husband is French, and he enjoyed the authentic French food, and the wonderful wine selection. We will go back."

"Excellent meals, both had black grouper, terrific service from our waiter and a varied wine selection. Our choice was excellent. The Brentwood is a great choice every time we go to Myrtle Beach."

"We enjoyed our evening at the Brentwood very much and will be returning. Paul was our server and he was outstanding. Even though he had several other large parties to take care of he was very attentive and friendly. We both had the black grouper which was very good. The Chef also stopped by to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. We appreciated this personal touch very much."

"Excellent meal. delicious wine. As a New Yorker, I find it difficult to find good, unique food in the Myrtle Beach area amongst a sea of chains. The food was outstanding and their gluten free and vegan menus were out of this world. The vegetable casserole was spectacular. We were dining with an 19 month old so we ate early to avoid the dinner rush. The service was top notch."

"We had a wonderful experience again at the Brentwood. From the amuse bouche to the dessert, everything was perfectly prepared, served and presented. The atmosphere is casual chic. The noise level is suitable for quiet conversation. We will be back!!!"

"I can't visit the beach without going to the Brentwood! Another great meal. Just stopped by for a quick surf & turf. Best deal on the beach. My husband had the Black Grouper, wow. If you haven't tried it put it on your bucket list! Wonderful!"

"My husband and I dined on friday night, the specials looked so good we didn't even open the menus! I'm a foodie on a never ending search for Escargot and the special was Escargot with a mushroom sauce in a puff pastry. Excellent. I tried the pear and blue cheese on my salad and now I am afraid i won't be going back to a plain salad, my husband either! My husband got the Bouillabaisse and raved about the saffron lobster broth and the taste of the seafood. I got the Veal chop, wow, no doggie bag for me, I ate the whole thing and was ready to chew the bone (If there wasn't another table in the room I would have!) We ordered the wine of the week, a great Cotes duRhone for $25, great choice. Awesome Meal!"

"The Brentwood offers a poor and unimaginative representation of French cuisine. So, while the food is okay overall, at the price it's outrageously substandard. When I tasted some candied orange rind in the shrimp and grits, I found it novel. The novelty wore off when it also appeared in the salad and main course. I don't mind ho-hum food, if at an appropriate price. Nothing here rose above the mundane. The wine list was much the same. It provides a quirky selection. We ended up ordering a $75 bottle. If it had cost $20 you'd consider it superb. At $40 it would have been so-so. Need I say more. For last, I save the house salad. It was reasonable fresh, but ordinary greens, drenched in dressing both far too sweet and far too tart."
