Enjoy the Taka - Best Japanese cuisine in Buckhead, Atlanta. Come discover a new way to eat sushi...
Taka also offers an exciting selection of American foods served in the Japanese style. Taka is well known for its outstanding Sushi and Sashimi creations.
"Taka joins Tomo and Hayakawa at the top of the list for Japanese cuisine in this area. Contact him ahead of time to arrange a fabulous omikase dinner. He will bring in some hard to find fish from Tokyo- you wil not be disappointed. Respectable wine list for such a small place, too, with at least six junmai daigingo level sake selections."

"Amazing and exotic sushi nestled in Buckhead, just off Pharr Road. Not fancy, and not traditional by any means but unique and compelling just the same. The patio is fantastic. The service is native and unobtrusive. Many crazy fish options available no where else in the city and flown in LIVE from Japan. If you like filling out a hand menu and ordering California rolls, this place is NOT for you. But if you like adventurous sushi in a relaxed, authentic atmosphere, Taka is the place"

"We had a small business group and were overall pleased with the food preparation and quality. The sushi fish selection is limited but was fresh. Prices were on the high side for this style restaurant. Parking is confusing and difficult ,they need valet service."

"We took a chance on Taka for a dinner out while on vacation in Buckhead. It is pretty centrally located and easier to find than most places we went to during the week.
The staff was extremely friendly and polite. They had added some Masters gear to the walls for the week which was fun for us as we were attending the tournament. The atmosphere was really nice as well. Very appropriate for a later dinner with your significant other.
The food was really delicious. We aren't hard core sushi eaters, but the rolls that we had were extremely tasty and the fish was super fresh. They also make the portions perfectly sized, so you're not trying to cram a gigantic roll in your mouth with every bite.
We loved it."

"Fantastic fresh fish, many of which I have not encountered at any other Atlanta sushi bar. Decent sake selection as well. Try to plan a special Omikase dinner in advance if possible- you won't be disappointed."

"I normally don't like to order sushi rolls as I find most places use lower quality fish and the taste typically is bland. Taka has outstanding rolls! The fish is the same high quality fish you get with sashimi or nigiri and the rolls have an amazing blend of flavors. I would put Taka up against any of the best sushi places in Atlanta."

"I have been here a couple of times and walked away hungry both times when I ordered the same items that seem to fill me up at other sushi restaurants. Plus, I'd say the sushi(quantity aside)was just average. I expect more at this price point."

"The qulaity and preparation of sushi is remarkable! We have been many times and it is out family favorite restuarent that never dissapoints. My highschool son wants to hold his graduation party there! It is slightly more expensive than other Sushi restaurents but the when you taste the quality and porportion of the fish you will understand why.
Hamachi Tiradito is one of our staples. Fresh and delicious. This is the finest sushi in Atlanta."
