"My wife and I tried this place for the first time on June 2. We split a salad and two tapas plates to start, and could not decide which plate was our favorite. The main courses were cooked to perfection and had spices and combinations we'd never had before. The desserts were amazing. Mango mousse must be had to be believed. We're looking forward to going back for a special occasion."

"We just love this place, the quality is always dependable. We have been many times and taken guest from down the street to people from other countries, it has never failed us everyone loves it. The owners have always stopped by to say hello and make sure we are happy. It's just a unique place with unique great food with wine to match.

"I went here for my bithday dinner expecting above average Peruvian food. Immediately upon walking in i was greeted by the friendly owners. The restaurant is very well set up, and it appears very upscale. I was very impressed by the choices on the menu and the presentation of the food. The chefs in the kitchen have excellent culinary skills and taste. My faovorite dish was Aji de Gallina(on the special menu). My experiance at Piqueo was an unforgettable culinary experiance"

"Enjoyed Paella prepared in the giant pan near our table outdoors on a great evening. Spanish guitar music set the mood for an evening that felt almost like a gathering of friends. Unfortunately service was slow and nearly inattentive - we later learned they were 3 servers short. Must stretch your definition of "patio" to a section of parking lot marked by orange cones & be prepared for a very leisurely night. They started the Paella at 6:30 so our 7pm reservation seemed right for a glass of wine before dinner. Surprised not to be served until after 8:30. Family at the next table gave up & left.. we're glad we ordered appetizers! Worth the wait for great food & warm hospitality extended by the gracious owners of this restaurant."

"Piqueo is an wonderful find. Though out of the way for many, it's worth a drive. The servers and owner were more than just friendly and professional, they were downright thoughtful as they took appropriate pride over their menu.
The menu includes standards familiar to anyone with some exposure to South American cuisine or Spanish Tapas."

"We were a little hesitant because of the reviews about bad service. On Saturday evening, our waiter, John, was excellent. He was attentive, but did not hover. He knew the menu well and made good suggestions. There were four of us. In addition to a few tapas, we had the Corvina, Tallarin, Paella, and a steak. The sauces were a bit salty, though, which was disappointing. For dessert, we shared the cookies that have a cinnamon caramel in the middle. The cookies themselves were so light and the filling was delicious.The guitarist played the entire three hours we were there. It was a very pleasant experience."

"We eat here at least once a month. We always try new dishes, but you cannot beat the Lomo Saltado. The small plate for $15.00 is all you need. Service may seem to be a little slow, but the culture in South America is different that here in the US. Relax and enjoy the evening. You will not be disappointed."

"We went on the recommendation of good friends, who are return visitors, so that says something. The food was excellent; the server took time to answer all our questions, was very knowledgeable about the menu, and he made good suggestions. Something that you don't see often is the option for a smaller serving of a menu item for a reduced price, so you don't have to mess with a "doggie bag".
The only wrinkle in the evening was that one guest ordered a "small", received the smaller size meal, but was charged for the normal size. When asked, the server seemed to think the larger size HAD been served. We don't think so, but didn't push it, because it was gone and delicious, whatever the size."

"Got off to a strange start. The restaurant was out of their featured wine and our second choice! And, this places features their wine bar and wine selection. But, once we settled on a wine in stock we enjoyed the rest of the evening. Food is very good to excellent. We had small plates and enjoyed all but the empanadas. Dry, doughy and probably not made on site. Service was professional and pleasant. Very few customers for a Saturday night so extremely quiet."

"This was our second time to the restaurant and we won't be back. The food was outstanding, however the wait for food was extremely long. We had to wait an hour and a half just to get our appetizers! Not a place I would recommend. Our first try at the restaurant was not as long, but thought the poor service might have been just a one off kind of thing. That is not the case!"

"Our first visit, just happened to be on Valentine's Day, for a 7pm reservation. The menu for the evening, was a four course meal, that resulted in my wife and I taking the dessert to go. It was literally 30-40 minutes between each course, that resulted in 2 1/2 hours. It

"We went for Valentines. They had a special menu and the food was fantastic. Both of the offered appetizers were very good as was the corn bisque. I had the stuff flounder and my wife had the beef Wellington. The chocolate cake was very good also. The live singer was just right. You could hear him we'll throughout the restaurant but he didn't get in the way of conversation. The service was a little slow but the place was very full"

"I initially set a reservation for Valentines Day and was expecting to see the regular menu. A member from the restaurant called the to verify the reservation a day prior, not mentioning anything about a special place menu and a set price. We arrived five minutes early, and waited about 40 minutes to be seated. The Valentines Day menu featured dishes that were mediocre at best. The appetizers available were about the size of a quarter per serving. A choice of a soup or salad came with the entrée, however, they were out of soup. The salad contained three pieces of romain lettuce and dressing. All in all, the food was not worth the price. I stopped to get a burger on the way home to wash down this epic fail."
