"This is a hidden gem near Union Square. It is a small and cozy bar/restaurant easily located near any major subway exits. The staff are internationally diverse and very friendly, with the bartenders serving up delicious cocktails and engaging in friendly conversation while you wait for a table. I had the 47 and Dark and stormy, both were delicious and something you might find at a speakeasy bar. The food was amazing. I ordered the salmon, my friends ordered the steak. It came in a just-right portion. I definitely would go back there! We had four in our group, and I recommend making a reservation prior to going there. One issue we had was we didn't know there was a time limit on tables so we were kindly asked to leave, but it was enough time"

"Barrio 47 is an excellent restaurant all around. The food is awesome and always seasoned perfectly. They have fun, delicious and unique drinks coupled with a lovely wine selection. The staff are attentive but not overbearing. There's a fun atmosphere with great music that suits groups or a couple out on a Friday night. I've also had their brunch, which is fantastic - try all their Bloody Mary's! Lastly, the prices are very good...not outrageous and well worth every bite and sip."

"I've been here a couple of times for dinner, which was absolutely to die for, so I was very excited to try brunch from this little West Village Hot Spot. We came here as a group of 7 for Brunch and had an incredible time!. For Brunch they offer a 3 drink (champagne cocktail) + 1 entree for $29. We started with freshly seared Wagyu Beef tidbits dipped in a goat cheese and julienne vegetable sauce which was amazing, and set our palettes off. I had a hard time deciding between what to pick because it all looked amazing, but stuck with eggs benedict with black truffle hollandaise, which I practically licked my plate clean it was soo good. I recommend this place for everyone, as it is surely one of the best brunches I've ever eaten in the city!"

"First time at Barrio 47. Extremely well-appointed bar focusing on high-end whiskeys and local gins, not too busy, tasteful. Highlight of the meal was the mushroom pizza on very thin crust, cut into eight squares - delicious. Had the Hake/Mussels special, very tasty although Hake isn't my favorite fish and wish they'd used grape tomatoes instead of sliced regular tomatoes in the sauce, they cook up better. I'd go there again."

"The food was very good and I would go back to try some of the other dishes that looked good as they were being set out by the chef to the wait staff. However the noise level made me think twice about trying it again. I could barely hear my friend seated across from me. Perhaps it's the cocktails and the communal table up front that contributes to the loud din, but it was a major distraction. One of the waiters was outside as we left and we got to talking and he recommended I come back for brunch...."

"the food is so good but i've had the same problem each time. no matter, what, they give you a time limit on tables? it's ok but kinda rude because i've spent upwards of 150 plus each time (not a once or twice occasion) and i stll get the "we need this table" line. so yeah, food is great but geez, how rude. service is spotty, they'll forget drinks, food, dessert but they never forget the check, even when you haven't asked? it's so bizarre, why cant they just let you eat in peace instead of rushing you out? i live two blocks from the place and it could've been my regular weekly place as I go out 3x a week but i don't think so."

"I just moved to the west village and decided to try Barrio 47. The decor is very cool, a mix of brick walls and industrial lights with a wood burning oven in the center of the dining room. We went last tuesday for their farm to fire series, we started with the scallops and octopus, I had the veal chop and my partner the hanger steak, all was delicious. The staff is very welcoming, the service was excellent, i will def come back very soon!"

"My visit to Barrio 47 was not what I expected. The decor and feel seems much more geared to a late night crowd. So I was pleasantly surprised that the food was quite good -- tasty and interesting. Our server was great! Friendly and helpful. While the restaurant was close to empty at dinner hour (7 pm) and didn't fill up as we ordered and ate, this is definitely a place where you can get a good meal and enjoy the cool decor."

"Had dinner here recently with my family. We were all very impressed. Restaurant has great atmosphere, though it does get a bit loud when it's full. Food was excellent, we shared some appetizers and then each had an entree, with a cocktail on the side. They were all delicious; we especially liked the cocas for appetizer and the truffle lasagna.
Would definitely go here again! Great find"

"The seafood at Barrio 47 was divine! Started with the beau soleil oysters which rocked my world, followed by the salmon tartare that was the best I had in a long time. For our main course my friend and I split the lobster paella and the salmon. These didn't disappoint! The salmon was perfectly cooked and I loved the presentation. I am looking forward to coming back to this restaurant as I was incredibly impressed with the food. Our waiter was very attentive, gave great suggestions for the wine, and was super cute ; ) We found the menu very reasonably priced for the quality and the ambiance was perfect! We'll be back for sure."

"THE GOOD: Bario 47 had a fun spirit and I can imagine a vibrant bar scene with great snacks in the evening. The bar and decor were cool. The staff was friendly and cheerful and seemed to be enjoying their jobs! Champaign cocktails were great. Blood orange highly recommended. Yum. Very good truffle fries too- loved em. THE NOT SO GOOD: I was there for Brunch on Sunday. The food was ehh. We asked for medium rare burgers but they were dry, overcooked - (but the Buns were magical)Lobster cakes were tiny. Got the check and saw we had been overcharged by almost 30$! The server gladly tried to fix it only to return. still overcharging. Clearly she was in over her head. Didn't want to make a scene so we just accepted the mistake and paid."

"This restaurant was a great find, as we do not know much about Manhattan yet. We went for brunch on Easter, and the wait staff was friendly and energetic. The food was fantastic and full of flavor. The European flair was just enough, and the ambiance was that of a lively party. I fully reccommend trying this one out!"

"Went there half an hour before my reservation to check their bar scene and was kindly surprised. They were still doing happy hour with their new cocktail: their famous sangria, at $7!!!! Speechless! About the dinner, I figured that they are now serving "Tartares" as appetizers, that you can also get as a Main Course. We shared the Tuna and the Sirloin, outstanding! Thumbs up for barrio! We'll be back."

"We had a wonderful time, enjoyed fantastic service, and ate delicious food. As we were finishing our drinks and sitting with the bill on our table the hostess came to inform us she had a reservation that she needed to seat so "were we almost done?" My husband had half of his drink left. After I exclaimed how rude it was she started to backtrack and offer to seat us somewhere else. No thanks. We didn't take an excessively long time eating or paying the bill but obviously we weren't fast enough for her. Because of the lame end to our meal I won't be returning or recommending this place. Boo. Could've been a winner. When you have so many places to chose from in NYC, there's no need to settle."

"I came here with a group of friends for brunch last Sunday. I was REALLY excited to try it since I've been for dinner several times. We decided on ordering close to one of everything and sharing since we wanted to try the entire menu. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS! The burger, lobster cake benedict, sausage hash and shaksuka were amoung our favorites. As if it couldn't get any better, they also have a $29 brunch special that includes 3 mimosa drinks (mimosa, kir royal, passion fruit, bellini, blood orange, and hibiscus)
After our server told us they recently won bext french toast in the west village, we added that on as our dessert.
I can't wait to come back with another group of friends!"

"Have been here both for brunch and for dinner, and it has always been great. Location is convenient and close to Meatpacking. Atmosphere looks really authentic, with a very nice bar and a cool looking wood fired oven. Music on the weekend is pretty trendy too.
I like Mediterranean cuisine, so I like almost everything they have on the menu. The cocas are really great to share as a starter, would definitely recommend them."

"I had my first dinner few days ago. I brought 3 good friends of mine who were visiting, and they loved it as I did. Our waiter was after us during the whole time. Personnaly, I ordered the Special "Duck Leg Confit w/. Truffle Risotto" which was simply outstanding. The atmosphere is really enjoyable, and the little detail that makes the difference is the opened kitchen with their wood-fired oven right in the middle of the restaurant. I definitely will be back! Thanks Barrio 47 tram!"

"Must go. I liked everything about this place. There is something about being served delicious foods and drinks by someone who is friendly and warm. "It was a quiet dinner, Barrio 47 is cozy, although the space is limited, they used very well the space to set up table of duces. The service was great. Nice service, great for a conversation, in spite of the music which was upbeat and sort of lounge style. Food was great, wished I could have eaten more though. The ambiance is romantic and inviting very lovely for couples."

"The brunch special is a nice value, but we were all very disappointed with the food. Decor and DJ were fun touch. We sat at the banquet table, at which the stools have no backs. They have tables with backed stools but didn't offer us a seating option. The food was not good. All of our "poached" eggs were hard cooked. The "lobster" cakes were dry and lack flavor. On top of it, our group of 5 were served in phases, yet the food wasn't very warm.
Overall, we enjoyed ourselves. the scene was good, location easy to get to, and included cocktails was a plus; but I would not take a foodie here."

"Celebrated my Bday here last Saturday. Made the reservation through OT for 10 about 3 weeks before the party. The restaurant emailed to confirm the menu and details. They were very accommodating and helpful, although you do have to sign a confirmation for a guest number. The owners and bartender were very nice, the food was wonderful, and I had a great time! HOWEVER, our reservation was for 9:30 and we did not even sit down until after 11pm. My friends and I are pretty easy going and didn't mind having a drink by the bar, but by 10:30 we were starving!! It would have been nice for the owners to bring over an app or two to apologize for the delay. All and all, it was a great night...but don't go if you're on a tight schedule."

"Charming, fun restaurant in the WV. Food was delicious, however the drinks were mediocre (the hibiscus cocktail is a house special, but beware: If you don't love ginger, it will be almost undrinkable). Also, the service was slow. Overall a good experience, but not rushing back."

"I came to Barrio for brunch with 6 of my girl friends last weekend. We all LOVED it!! We did the $25 brunch special of 3 champagne cocktails and an entree.
The service was great. We were seated right away. Our server, Nelson, made sure that our drinks were always full and was very friendly. The food is truly exceptional. I had the shakshuka. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the flavor was delicious. My friend next to me had the lobster cakes benedict which was also great. The truffle fries are to die for. Make sure you save room for dessert...the churros are warm, sweet and perfect for sharing.
We will definitely be coming back for brunch here!"
