Arturo's Ristorante
One of the prettiest and long-lived restaurants in Boca Raton, Arturo's (featuring Northern Italian fare) is owned and run by consummate restaurateurs Vincenzo and Rosaria Gismondi. Their tuxedo-clad staff are attentive and friendly, and do their best to inform you about, and not just serve, the excellent food.
Arturo's has a number of distinctive and attractive features. The antipasti trolley is filled with a mammoth selection of traditional Italian dishes (don't picture the usual salads - we have enjoyed crab dishes, pastas, stone crabs, grilled eggplant, layered pastries stuffed with veggies and cheeses, smoked salmon, etc). It is marvelous, and, at a very reasonable cost, a terrific way to dine. Due to market fluctuations, some dishes may be priced separately, so be sure to ask if anything on the trolley is not included in the one price given. Entrees are also wonderful. The Dover sole is something to behold, the meats are tender and perfectly prepared in many ways.

"This is the place for either a special occasion or 5-star romantic meal. We were a party of 8 celebrating my daughter's graduation. The manager had the table decorated for the occasion. The food and service, as expected, were 5-star. Gabrielle and the other wait staff were attentive without being intrusive. All the meals were hot and delicious. The kitchen made a beautiful tiramisu dessert with "CONGRATULATIONS!" written on the plate. We could not have asked for a more perfect evening."

"So disappointed !! Was looking forward to eating here after seeing ratings and reviews but it was a big letdown. Got seated, then waited 20 minutes to get a menu. I was just getting ready to leave but decided to try it after driving 30 minutes to get there. Room was VERY loud and service was awful. After finally getting meal our waiter never came back again. Meal was just average. I couldn't wait to get out and asked the bus boy to get me the check."

"The owners and staff aim to please. Food choices are varied and tasty. Deep wine list. Ambiance is traditional "Classy" (waiters in coats and ties/tuxes, table cloths, flowers on tables, multiple flatware for the individual courses) very hard to find this type of dining in Florida these days. Even a grand-piano is being played on weekends... Stop at the bar before dinner, the head bartender "Timothy", is a joy to talk to; and no matter how busy the restaurant, he makes time for patrons at bar."

"the valentines experience was a 'nightmare' and terrible disappointing. we had been to Arturos before over the last 25 years --
but mostly for special occasions. it started with the special menu -- every table was set with this menu. very, very expensive
considering the microspoic food presented. the lobstertail was the size of one large tiger shrimp. there were two tiny pieces
of veal on the scaloppine..and the zucchini flower -- tiny. the big problem was the fact that a group of regulars came in and
pronounced they wanted the regular menu -- the waiter said 'of course'.. and then a group of 6 near us did the same and then
a group of four. our waiter never told told us this. everyone else had larger portions and seemed happier."

"Looking for an appropriate restaurant to bring generations together for an important family meal? Arturo's will not disappoint. The service meets the standards of a generation that knows what good service is all about - providing an exceptional experience for the diners through attentiveness, knowledge of the menu and wine list, and through superlative pacing balancing privacy and presence. Cozy but good-sized round tables, comfortable chairs and well-managed sound levels enable leisurely dining and whole family conversation even with those whose hearing might be challenged in noisier locations. Many classic dishes, all well-executed; enjoyed two excellent Amarones, and the dessert cart was a feast for the eyes (and the appetite)!"

"I've been enjoying Arturo's for 30 years! I live about a mile from the restaurant, but I don't enjoy this great restaurant enough.
Frankly, I don't eat Italian food all that often as there are so many other types of restaurant available locally. However, I do get that Italian desire once in awhile. None of the other Italian restaurants are a classic, classy restaurant like Arturo's.
When you arrive, you look through two windows to the pasta room and the meat storage room. The service at the bar while you are waiting for your table is second to none. Even though we don't get here often, the bar tender remembers me and my wife every time.
Food is excellent! Service is the best. The average age is a little high. That's fun."
