"Introduced a group to Carmichaels for a birthday party. I ordered the fried wontons, scallop and shrimp wih mushroom risotto, and chocolate dessert. Very delightful and flavourful. The cranberry bread was nice and warm; we enjoyed it so much that we required a refill. Our server was attentive and food arrives in a timely manner. Ambience was relaxing."

"Very disappointed. Our decision to eat here was based on Open table and Yelp reviews. I was duped this time. Limited selection on the menu. Items advertised on their 3 course menu were not the same online as in the restaurant. Service was slow, uninspired and not very friendly. The food was bland and expensive for what we received. A poor dining choice which I will not repeat again!"

"The restaurant has set menus as well as a la carte. There were only two other parties dining so there was only one server the entire night. Having said that, he was prompt and friendly. The food was a slow to come out and the flavours were fine. To our delight, the prices were much lower than we expected from a hotel. There were a few other items I wanted to try, so I probably go again."

"We had the most wonderful, friendly waiter - I think Ryan was his name, he was so very funny too.
The food was excellent, from the mussells to the bread pudding, and my salmon was exceptional. (I usually have to add salt and lemon juice, but it was perfect, tasty and just enough to make you want to come back for more :)
I definitely will visit Carmichael's again and again."

"We enjoyed our visit to Carmichael's during Dine Out. We were a large group of 10 women so the noise level probably increased due to our presence from quiet to moderate. The food was well-prepared but didn't arrive at the same time for everyone to be able to eat simultaneously.
The shrimp wontons appetizers were very good, as were the mussels. If I had to choose again, I'd go for the mussels. The chicken stuffed with shrimp was delicious. All of the desserts were fabulous, although I'd have to say that the Bread Pudding tied with the Chocolate Crunchy Bar. It's hard to beat chocolate, but the bread pudding came close!"

"We came here during the Dine Out Vancouver promotion and the food was surprisingly good. The smoked salmon appetizer was refreshing, steak was large but tender and cheesecake was delicious, not heavy. The restaurant was quite empty when we went - it was too bad. They serve great food."
