"I checked out Olive and June on a Wednesday evening for happy hour and dinner. We sat outside and it was really nice with the fans providing a breeze. I didn't get to check out the inside but will next time I go. Happy hour is great as the antipast is half off as well as specials on cocktails. Everything tasted wonderful and our server, Rafael, was terrific. Will be coming again soon!"

"I've eaten here twice before, and wasn't over the moon, but I had a gift card I bought at a charity event so decided to give it another go. From the moment we sat down until we left, everything was outstanding. Every course we had was done really well, and was the perfect amount of food. Given the bare white walls and cement floors, you'd think it could be loud, but with the acoustic tiles on the walls, it was actually quite intimate. I'll definitely be back."

"We hosted my girlfriend's engagement celebration here (5 of us) and it couldn't have been a better place to do so. They gave her complimentary champagne and our food was out in minutes. Excellent, attentive service and with happy hour pricing, the bill was very reasonable. Thank you so much to everyone who is part of the restaurant. From the valet guys to the hostess to our server, everyone was great and so well mannered. I'll definitely be back!"

"Four of us had dinner a few nights ago at olive and June's. The ambiance was nice, the staff was warm and professional, but the food wasn't as incredible as we'd hoped. We ordered several small plates and each couple shared the rabbit entree. The rabbit was unique and very good. The pork belly was nice. The side veggies were also good. For dessert we ordered the three peaches and the espresso something-- both were delicious. All in all it was a lovely meal-- it just didn't quite knock our socks off in any category. We will probably try it again for happy hour when the price point is more in line with what you get."

"Food was unbelievably tasty and service was excellent. Portions are perfect - recommend starting off with a few "piccoli piatti" and then getting pasta/entrees. If you're hungry, go for a side too - fingerling potatoes, roasted carrots, marinated artichoke, and eggplant were all amazing good."

"My wife and I came for our wedding anniversary dinner. Knew something was up when the two hostesses questioned each other about our table. One said it was our anniversary and the other mentioned the server's name. The server won out, and I'll say she was very good. Unfortunately, our table was next to a table of eight women who were extremely loud. Also, the setting sun blinded me at my seat. I kept having to adjust my seat to avoid the sunlight. There were no shades on the windows to block the light. The petite plates we tried were nice. My dish, the capellini, was very good. Our server recommended the rabbit, but it was underwhelming. For the price of the meal, we expected to be "Wowed." Instead, we were disappointed in our experience."

"The food was excellent. The Gemelli and pork meatballs are two very memorable dishes. But the really exceptional note was the wonderful service. "We had a very nice dinner. My group agreed that the food was very good overall. We had some difficulty with the organization of the menu and will order somewhat differently next time. Nonetheless, small plates were tasty and varied, the meatball antipasti was delicious. Pasta gemelli was very good, the sausage having a notable taste of fennel. This portion was generous for this dish. Two of the specials featured meats that were a primary draw (suckling pig and spare ribs) but the dishes contained such small quantities of these that they were not the highlight of the plate. These dishes were still quite tasty but a little on the small side. The inside dining area was noisy. Service was great. I will go back."

"The restaurant itself is really pretty, built around a very large oak tree with a great outdoor dining section. But the prices are too expensive and the air of "we are a high class, special occasion restaurant" didn't sit we'll with me. The food was fine but not outstanding. My cocktail was undrinkable- way too much ginger. I would have liked to have seen a more laid back atmosphere with tasty locally produced fare."

"We're fans of parkside already and Olive & June certainly did not disappoint. We ordered all of the piccoli piatti to start off with (the sweet pea was a fave), moved on to the excellent and generous meat & cheese plate and some entrees (the gemelli is awesome). The cocktails are interesting and the whole feel is relaxed and inviting. The outdoor patio looks inviting as well but it was a bit warm for us to venture out there. Not a misstep along the way and truly a great experience."

"We got there early at 5:30 and it was a good thing because it was very full when we left and rightfully so...great food with a northern Italian accent served with a smile. We splurged on dessert and really enjoyed the Basil Gelato! While we were there we noticed many couples and just as many groups, all having a lovely time. The mezallun pasta which was excellent was 5 pieces - not exactly family style. All in all I think the prices are out of line with what you get. Not a great value. "I am excited about this place. I need a reliable place to go that's nice, and I think I've found it!!
The spring risotto was really nice, as was the gemelli.
The fried ravioli came recommended by our server but I wasn't too excited with that.
We shared a dessert, I can't remember what it was called, but it was basically little donuts and it was served with this basil ice cream that was awesome!"

"We were enjoying our wedding anniversary. We were running late for our reservation due to a traffic jam, but the hostess was able to accommodate us. Small parking lot, but they offer complimentary valet parking. They do have both patio and indoor dining (1st floor and 2nd floor). The patio seemed to more for the casual diner (plastic chairs), while the 1st floor dining area was semi-formal (Candles, soft music, nice white colored booths, tables not crammed too close together). Cozy and elegant, nice decor. Our waiter was great, the food was wonderful as well. Our booth was next to the air conditioner and it was making some kind of annoying, humming noise. But it was taken care of quickly. We will recommend and we will return!"

"It's a really lovely space and everything was solidly good. Unfortunately, I just wasn't blown away by anything and it took an hour and a half for our main entree to arrive. But the service was really friendly and we definitely enjoyed ourselves. I think it'd be perfect for a late afternoon visit with friends over wine and appetizers."

"Not a very good experience. This place came highly recommended. Server was less than enthused and was not helpful. I ordered the strawberry salad and what came out was a few croutons, strawberry sause and some lettuce. Very disappointing dish. I ordered the lamb for an entree and it was overlooked and the presentation looked like green algae. After the dinner was over has the worst salt taste in my mouth after eating one of my dates prawns. Maybe it was a down night ."

"We were a party of 10 on a busy Friday night and were pleasantly surprised to be seated immediately upon arrival. The menu was very eclectic and our waiter walked us through it and gave good descriptions of the dishes (how spicey, how many appetizers we should order so everyone could have some, etc.) The small plates, appetizers, salads, entrees & specials were all delicious. The desserts were okay, but did not "shine" like the other courses. The atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant and there was a nice selection of wine by the glass and also by the bottle. They also have patio dining for those who enjoy dining under the stars. All in all, a great evening!"

"I'll start by saying that my wife, a vegetarian, loved her food, loved the patio and had a great time. So, mission accomplished on that front.
For me, I was underwhelmed. I ordered a shrimp pasta dish called Capellini. Very tasty but for $17, I'd expect more than 3 shrimp. Granted, they had their heads on which I suppose makes for a good presentation if you're into that. For me: keep the shrimp heads and give me more shrimp.
Next was the music. We were dosed with a steady stream of moldy oldies from the 30's, 40's and 50's. I felt like I was trapped in grandma's living room. Couldn't get back in the car fast enough and crank up some Led Zeppelin just to restore musical equilibrium in my brain."

"Went to Olive and June for my birthday dinner. We sat outside on the beautiful patio beneath the towering live oak. Hands down my absolute favorite place to eat outside. Our server was very helpful with recommendations - both appetizers and wine - and we ended up with the perfect amount of food for our party of 10. The food was outstanding, particularly the sunchokes, warm mozzarella and farm egg. Friends at the table raved about the filet and rabbit, and my tilefish was light and delicious. Can't wait to return!"
