Jules Bistro, in NYC's Rockin' and Rollin' East Village, hosts nightly Live Jazz & a Sunday Jazz Brunch. Among many music greats, Norah Jones
performed there during her debut. This coming year, Jules celebrates its 20th anniversary as the best place to date and enjoy great wine and jazz.
Enter and be transported back in time. Whether you have memories of Paris' Marais or not, Jules will get you in the mood. It's amber coziness and
evolved jazz improvs, not to mention sophisticated cuisine, create a Parisian nostalgia. Whether you stop by for a glass of red or settle in
for a romantic meal, Jules Bistro hits the spot. The owner's familiarity with Harlem Jazz venues encouraged him to bring that energy downtown.
That, including his father's stories of the French Jazz revolution, the rise of a music genre long overlooked in the U.S., drove him to try
something new on St. Marks Place. So, join us for a little piece of the present, and past, at Jules Bistro.
"Excellent food. I loved the cucumber salad especially. The wine in a little pricey and there are no liquor drinks. The jazz was wonderful. We will definitely go back."

"I had been to Jules two years ago and remembered having a good experience. Went back with two friends for a small birthday dinner and it was great. The atmosphere is energetic but not overwhelming - evokes what you think a Parisian bistro in the 20s or 30s would be like. The experience was great - no drama. We had to move our reservation back a half hour, and their were no problems. Our waiter was very friendly. The food was fantastic, and the price isn't bad. Jules is a great value. We've all said we're going to go back again."

"The food is hit and miss - nothing is bad, but some things are less than exceptional (the schnitzel) while other things are great (the mussels, the skate, the onglet). The gem of this place is the live jazz nightly and the giant mugs of hofbrau,"

"Food & decor are great but service is the best. Nicest people in the world that will make you feel like home. Live jazz makes it perfect to share with people from out of town who you want to impress."

"What a super place. A hidden gem in New York. The food is delicious and the wine-list is super. Excellent evening! As a bonus the Jazz which was played that evening rocked the place."

"I've been going since the early 90s, and have always loved it. Super solid French food, small but great wine list with great beers as well, and live jazz every night. Hard too beat. Remember, only cash and amex!"

"We had a great time at Jules: the food was good, the wine was great, the live jazz music was spectacular. We were 3 and we had mostly appetizers: cheese bistro platter, pate de campagne and some mushroom mix. We sat down at the back, as the music was too loud to have a conversation, but it's definitely a nice experience for a weekend dinner."

"We had a great time at Jules. We were in the back so we could hear both the music and have a conversation. The good was very good. Only thing we didn't like us that they only take cash or Amex"

"We were at Jules for an early dinner before a show in the area. It was quiet at 6:00 pm but the place is generally quite lively and loud later in the evening due to the fun jazz music featured nightly. Our party of three enjoyed the onion soup, Salmon, Sea Bass special and hamburger among us. Cheese cake for dessert was yummy. Service was smart, observant and genuinely friendly. Jules really is a neighborhood gem. Highly recommended. Go!"

"Excellent food in great atmosphere. We came on a Saturday night and had oysters, steak tartare and duck breast which was all very delicious and just solid French food. The waitress was very helpful and great in recommending the matching wine. The band gave the restaurant a brilliant vibe and wasn't overpowering."

"Went on Valentine's day. Food was very tasty and had sizeable portions, all for an affordable price ($45 fixed price on that night was a great deal compared to other restaurants). Had live jazz which was a bit too loud given how small the restaurant is, and we were seated in a way-too-crowded spot only a few feet away from the bar. But, besides that, a nice spot and would go there again."
