"Went once for lunch with co-workers and I had to take my wife! My wife and have dined here approximately five times now and we still enjoy going. We like going during lunch for a couple of reasons; 1-the kids are in school (mom/dad alone time) and 2-its much cheaper for two versus four (call me a tight wad but the dinning experience here is slightly expensive!!!). We love it, great food, the service is awesome, everyone is very friendly and did I mention the food is GREAT??? I would recommend this experience to anyone."

"The sirloin sliders were delicious and I would definitely order again. The lobster cones were cute and had a nice flavor. The wings would have been a lot more tasty if they were allowed to marinade as well as cooked a bit longer. The chili was delicious; however, there was more liquid than I'm used to for a chilli. I also enjoyed the mahi mahi and asparagus which was the special for the evening."

"Being seated around the kitbar (kitchen bar) is fun. The wait staff members all attend to all guests, instead of a server assigned to each table.
The food is creative adaptations of favorites. Many of the dishes are spicy, so do ask for recommendations and advice regarding ingredients. The wait staff preps all food at the kitbar.
The blue crab lattuce wraps are very nice with large pieces of crab throughout. The lobster cones are tasty. All ingredients are fresh and flavorful.
Do save room for dessert cones...my favorite are the chocolate, but key lime are wonderful too! They will mix and match flavors in the order of 4."

"This was our first time at Stone's and I'm afraid we won't return. Although the food was delicious and the service excellent, the portions were so tiny that we received little value for our money. We spent $90 on food and one beer and left hungry. It was time for sandwiches at home. Stone's was a real disappointment for our family of four on Mother's Day.
Perhaps rebranding the place as Stone's Tapas KitBar would give a better idea of the the offering."

"Good food, great drinks and beer selection, but we had to ask several times for service. The idea is that all the waiters can help you but in reality they are so busy they seemed to have a hard time paying attention to anyone.
Will definitely go back but they need to improve that aspect."

"Stone's Cove is a breath of fresh air for suburban foodies who want to avoid chain restaurants but can't afford to go "all out" on a regular basis. The menu is full of flavors - and the restaurant is full of energy. I only wish they would rotate their dishes or expand the menu slightly since after a few trips I feel like I've explored the majority of it. Cocktails also taste vastly different depending on your server - for better or for worse. If they could make the quality more consistent it would get an excellent rating, but as it stands I would happily go back and it's a great place to unwind."

"The 4 cone desert was good once you got past the bland whipped cream that didn't have any sugar added to it. My other complaint was the seating. The bar stools were incredible uncomfortable. Sitting on a very hard stool made the experience unpleasant. The seating didn't make it enjoyable to stay and linger. If they were to add cushions to the bar stools would help a lot. I noted that the table and benches were the same, very hard surfaces. How can Stone's Cove expect customer to say longer than it takes to scarf down there food when sitting on very painful bar stools. It wouldn't have made a difference where we were seated as all the other seats were the same "hard surface"."

"What an awesome place!! I stay in the same neighborhood but shame that I didn't try this place earlier. They have limited menu but everything is cooked in front of your eyes and every item on the menu is superb. I had crab lettuce wrap with avocado and mango.. it was served in cute plate with 5 different sections. you make your own wraps and enjoy. cute little chocolate expresso ice cream cones are equally cute and delicious. I am chocoholic but I loved keylime ice cream with crackers too. Service is amazing.. Had small different conversations with the staff members. When you see your food getting cooked in front of your eyes, you can't ask for anything more.. Amazing cocktails too.. Overall a great place for a date or group to hang out."

"It was an expensive meal! Our server was new, but gave his best effort. If you are sitting near the "bar," then your view is not great. The lemon martini was not good. I would not get it again. We were told the beef sliders were all premade and just heated before serving. Um? The flatbread pizza was our best choice of the night. It's not close to home, so I am not sure we'd make the effort to return."

"This was my second visit to Stone's Cove and I can't wait to go back. Love the "KitBar" concept and the open kitchen. If you're worried about sitting at a bar with a group of friends, don't be. You can make reservations and sit at one of the expanded bar areas where you'll be able to almost sit face to face. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Stone's Cove accepts reservations. The menu isn't huge but everything I have tried has been wonderful. I especially like the Beef Tenderloin Sliders (tender beef on great buns) and the Mackinack Roasted Flatbread is amazing. We couldn't resist ending the meal with the S'mores Flatbread which was equally delicious. It gets busy fast so make a reservation during prime times."

"This was my 4th visit to Stone's Cove. Each time I have tried a different dish, and each time I loved it. It's going to make it hard to decide next time I go. This time I had the Tequila Glazed Tilapia over coconut rice. It was fabulous. Another favorite is the Tenderloin Sliders. Not a greasy burger. This is real Tenderloin on mini fresh hard rolls. We went later than usual, 7:45. Despite how crowded & loud it was, I really enjoyed it. Love, love, love the Lemon Stick Martini."

"Servers were very friendly but somewhat sporadic. No dedicated server. Hot & cold dip appetizer was very good and crabcake apppetizers were all crab and tasty. A little noisy for a business lunch and sitting at a bar doesn't allow a place to put handbags but for the floor."

"A KitBar is a great concept. The kitchen is inside the circular bar and the servers are waiters, bartenders, and cooks - rolled into one. The small bites plates were delish and the service was outstanding. Would definitely recommend this place and will go back."

"My friends and I love this little Kitbar nestled in the ClockTower Shopping Center in Herndon, VA. I drove all the way from Lewes, DE to meet my friends their for lunch on 3/14/13. Love so many things on the menu it never gets tiring going back."

"Food and drinks were fantastic. We could have used quicker and more frequent service. It felt we often had to wait a while with empty glasses, and then again for the drinks to arrive. That said, once they did they were excellent."

"This is my third time to Stone's Cove KitBar. The food is really good. I recommend this place to first or second time visitors, but not third. Why? Because in the 2 years I've been going, they haven't changed a single thing on the menu, not one. It's not a big menu to start with, it's all very good, but you've GOT to change the menu at least 2 or 3 times a year to keep it fresh and a reason to go back. Don't get me wrong, it's fun, a great concept, the bartenders/waitstaff are very friendly and fun, and what food they have is quite good. They just needs to give me a reason to come back with some new treats to try."

"this is not an ideal restaurant for kids; all of the seating is high and awkward for them. however, the staff is willing to accommodate them by adapting menu items to make them more suitable for children. we did not have to ask for this; they offered. i probably would not return there with kids. the food is just okay. the concepts -- lobster cones and s'mores flatbread -- are more interesting than the execution. convenient location with plenty of parking. it would be a great place to stop for a drink and snack on the way home from work."
