Pera Soho expands upon the exploration of Eastern Mediterranean cuisine first embarked upon by midtown’s Pera Mediterranean Brasserie when it opened in late 2006 on Madison Avenue to become a “Top 5 Newcomer” in the 2008 Zagat Survey. A downtown-ized version of the original restaurant with an edgier approach to food and ambiance and with the pursuit of pleasing all five senses, Pera Soho embraces the Pera hallmark of presenting a culinary experience firmly rooted in centuries-old Eastern Mediterranean traditions, while incorporating contemporary Western trends, seasoned with New York City gustatory flair, without any compromise of the essential integrity of the food.
Pera Soho offers some of the signature dishes that made the first Pera so popular, while also taking diners’ palates on a more adventurous journey through the Eastern Mediterranean in a tri-fold setting: indoors, private garden, and rooftop patio for private events.

"Had an excellent dinner here last week with some friends. The outdoor area is awesome and it's also a great place to hang out in the bar. The starters we tried such as the calamaries and the peppars were top notch and so was the mains (we had fish dishes)."

"Went for a bridal lunch for a colleague - a bunch of women from the office. The patio is gorgeous but the weather wasn't, so we sat inside, which is really beautiful as well. The ambiance is extraordinary, and the food is deftly presented, tasty and unusual."

"We dined at Pera Soho the night before our TD bike tour and really enjoyed our dinner. The hostess was kind, charging our cell phones upon request.
The food was delicious... our table ordered lamb, beef Shashlik and seared Salmon. We all loved our entres. We did not love our appetizers, we all agreed they were only fair. We loved the Gelato for desert. We will return to this restaurant!"

"When you have a floater in your water glass and the establishment doesn't seem to care I should've known to get up and walk out. That is how our dinner started. Then we went to share a few apps and when one of the had three pieces and we were four, I asked the waitress if we could adjust accordingly she simply said "you'll need to order two orders". Next straw was a dessert which lists a honey dressing which was dry as granola. When asked for some honey for it, the waitress replied " do you want a side of honey?"' My wife replied that she wanted the honey that was supposed to be on the menu item. When my bill came there was an $11 misc charge for the honey. The dessert was only $10. The manager was no to be found. Pera NoHo!!!"

"Pera SoHo is such a miss. It has a terrific outdoor venue for brunch but unfortunately it is coupled with some of the WORST service in Manhattan...which is such a waste. I have been there twice and have regretted it both times. I can NOT wait for this place to go out of business so that it can be taken over by people who actually know how to run a restaurant."

"Lovely place, good food, good service. At first, (we were the first to arrive for brunch) the music was overpowering; however, as more people arrived, the music became less offensive. Perhaps other people asked that it also be lowered. Why is it that managers of restaurants insist on playing loud music and imposing their taste in music on others, especially for brunch?! It is becoming more and more difficult find a restaurant where the main purpose is to enjoy good food and good company. When I want to listen to music, I go to a place where listening to music is the main concern - and that is not to a restaurant.

"Beautiful and sophisticated restaurant with vibrant bar scene. Spacious dinning accommodations, especially for larger groups. Noise level was moderate, even as the bar became crowded. Food selection and preparation were first rate, although the small plate quantities, generally 3 pieces is at least 1 piece short for most groups. Wait staff was knowledgeable and attentive, and recommendations were terrific. All in all, a very satisfying experience."

"I loved every dish I had here. I ate a lot more than I should have because everything was so good. The seafood dishes are great and the hanger stake was so tender and well seasoned. My only complaint is that my drink (mango something?) was a bit too spicy, it should have been smoother. Besides that, I loved the atmosphere and decor. It's a really nice place but not stuffy or pretentious. It's very lively and comfortable, and the service is great! I will definitely be going back in the future."

"We were totatlly not prepared for how incredible this was! Food fresh, delicately prepared, visually stunning, tastes that melded in just the right way and OMG, over the top, delicious. Service that felt like they were a true team. Clean design, even comfy chairs! We will go back for sure."
