"Very nice atmosphere and food. The servers were all nice, but our waiter definitely added another glass of wine to our bill - I only mention it because it seemed he was hoping the older man I was with wouldn't notice. So check your bill. Otherwise, a very nice experience."

"Great service, even if two ladies want to share a salad!!!! THe crostini plate was pleasing to the eye and palate.
Someday I will try another entree, but I am stuck on the salmon and shrimp salad. Perfectly done!
If you arrive early, they will seat you without waiting for your companion, and are always most courteous.
I have not been to the other locations, but in this 'hood, it is a great place to go!"

"No one was waiting for the table but the waitress kept coming over to see if we had paid the bill. She checked at least four times. Also, the bill says that the expected tip is 15 to 18 or 20 percent and calculates those amounts for you. I find that extremely rude. The bill is at the discretion of the diner and to ask for a certain amount is offensive. Not going back."

"The service was very attentive and friendly but the food and wine were overpriced for the quality. The tuna entree was a poor quality filet, you should not need a knife to eat tuna.
The scallop appetizer was very tasty, but for $17 I expected more than 3 bay sized scallops.
The first time I ate there the food quality was much better, maybe this was an off night, but for steakhouse prices I'm doubtful I'll give it another chance."

"Came here for dinner last week while my dad was in town. I had been to the 5th Ave location a few years ago which I really enjoyed. This location is closer to my apartment so we chose to come here and the atmosphere is very different. This is much more intimate and smaller, very tightly packed tables and such. The food was exactly as a I remembered from previously, very tasty and corners not cut. I enjoy this restaurant because I know everyone will enjoy their meal, its somewhat more casual than another one of its competitors, and its relatively affordable."

"The service was great from the host to our waiter. I had lunch with a girlfriend I hadn't seen in two years and they were so nice to give us the time to eat and catch up on all the news. The food was perfect and hit the spot. But what made it so nice was the staff"

"My 3rd or 4th time there and last couple of times have been somewhat disappointing. Most recent visit I ordered a burger medium well, it came pretty rare. French fries were very, very greasy. I hope they are not skating by on their reputation. My companion commented that the last time he was there, he ordered a steak medium well and it came out rare. Seems like they are not paying attention to detail. Hope it's temporary. Also, even though we had a reservation, we were stuck at a table by the kitchen. Not very appealing. The cushion on the bench kept sliding down. Very uncomfortable. Not a good experience at all this go around."

"they sat us right away, even though we arrived 20 minutes in advance of our reservation and without one of our party members. service was courteous, friendly, prompt, and the food was delicious. when the gentleman at the table next to us overturned his water glass onto the floor, glass shattering everywhere, waitstaff was there immediately to address the issue and even asked us if we were okay.
i thought the truffled scrambled eggs were a bit...soupy. the taste was there, and trust me, i had no problem finishing them off, but the excess liquid seemed odd. the viennoiserie basket also needed less bread, more pastry.
the side of sauteed spinach with fig and marcona almond, however, was maybe the best thing i ate all week."

"We had a very good meal here. We ate small plates to share. The mushroom croquettes were really one the best things I've eaten in quite awhile. The beef carpaccio was also excellent. I found the octopus a bit bland though the octopus itself was tender, which is a plus. The atmosphere is sleek and modern but has an old world feel to it also. The staff was very professional and attentive."

"I had the Mediterranean Tasting, which was a fantastic dish that highlighted a lot of wonderful flavors. I also just enjoyed tasting a bit of everything (grilled shrimp, lamb chops and truffle risotto)--the lamb was my favorite. Also, I was in love with the olive oil they served with the bread at the beginning of the meal, there were three different olive oils and each were delicious. Service was just okay--our waitress was a little brusque and also didn't seem very familiar with the menu as she told me my dish consisted of certain items that it just didn't, which was strange. Overall, a very pleasant meal."

"We had a great time at FIG & OLIVE Uptown. This is an elegant and cozy spot. My companion and I started with the Crab Cakes and Octopus a La Gallega. These appetizers were very good. For our entrees we had the Flounder a La Plancha and the Rosemary Lamb Chops. These dishes were excellent! We finished our meals with the Warm Chocolate Soufflé and the Chocolate Pot De Crème. The desserts were sweet deliciousness. The service was exceptional. The staff treated us like royalty! This restaurant is highly recommended."

"This is my fourth time dining at Fig and Olive and it is always a great experience each time! Fig and Olive - Uptown is a great little spot to gather just after work or to meet up with a friend for dinner. The ambiance and the relaxed setting of the restaurant gives it a cozy feel. Their crostini's are phenomenal and are a must have before your main course. My favorite entree would have to be the Mediterranean tasting because you get a little of both seafood and meat(shrimp and lamb). Fig and Olive will remain a favorite of mine!"

"I have been to all the Fig & Olive locations, and this dining experience was by far my worst. The restaurant claimed to be crowded and we were given an undesirable table in the back of the narrow restaurant where there was lots of foot traffic. I felt very rushed by the waiter to place an order, when in fact I was there to enjoy my dinner and catch up with a friend. We ordered some olives to start, which were fine, but our entrees came out so quickly that I was suspicious. I had a pasta with calamari, which was fair, and my dining companion had the Grilled Thyme Chicken Paillard, which seemed slightly more exciting than my dish. Overall, it was a quick and disappointing meal. I don't think I will be returning to this Fig & Olive location."

"We were seated directly across from the bar. A large man was later seated at the bar directly behind my seat and the space in between us -- through which every waiter and patron had to pass to move through the narrow restaurant -- was very tight for no reason. I was afraid waiters would spill food on me! I moved over one seat and asked for my former chair to be removed but was told that was not possible. And the restaurant was very cold. Will not return to this location of this chain."

"This was my first time eating at Fig and Olive. I enjoyed my lunch greatly: not only was it yummy, but it was a salad offering I had never seen elsewhere. "This is a very pleasant restaurant with an interesting and slightly different Mediterrean menu. I'm glad to have discovered the chain but the Lexington Ave. branch is narrow and where we were sitting felt cramped. We were sitting at a table across from the bar and it felt like we were in the lobby, though we weren't. It seemed like we were in the holding area, rather than where people eat dinner. I couldn't quite tell if tables in the back were in a less cramped space. I would go again to Fig & Olive but would try to find one that's more spacious. The food is very good, presented well, and quickly, but not too quickly. And also it's good for that neighborhood (nr Bloomingdales, and not lots of restaurants around)."

"The restaurant itself is very small. It seems like enough space, but the waiter had to constantly remind us that there's food coming back and forth so he would push our seats in whenever he would pass by. Our table was right next to where the food comes out so that makes sense, but quite annoying. I would recommend this place, but you have to go for the quality. It wasn't that great, but good enough for me to be satisfied. If I had not gone during restaurant week, I would have been extremely disappointed."

"We were seated next to the kitchen. It was very cramped space, noise from the kitchen and wait staff. Very unpleasant dining experience. Neighboring table was uncomfortably close. Went home smelling like grilled salmon. Salads were very expensive at $21+ especially considering the lack of ambiance! Completely different from Meat Packing Fig and Olive."

"My daughter and I had our usual superb time for dinner! Service from all four of the gentlemen with whom we dealt was exemplary! We very much appreciated the fact that we were permitted to sample a wine before deciding whether to order it. We began with three spectacular Crostini, and would love to try others the next time we go. My daughter thought that the Mediterranean Tasting sampler was terrific; after all, how could one not like the baby lamb chops?! As for me: I could eat the mushroom truffle soup EVERY day! This is a very vibrant restaurant, and it is quite obvious that everyone dining here is enjoying themselves. It doesn't get much better!"
