Tin Can is the latest creation by brother and sister team, Arte Antoniades and Nik Panagopoulos. The sibling pair is best known for the original Fishmonger Restaurant and Teela Taqueria (named by the Atlanta Journal Constitution as one of Top 10 Best Taquerias in Atlanta). Located adjacent to its sister restaurant Teela Taqueria in City Walk at Sandy Springs, Tin Can's eclectic menu of seaside dishes and seashore café décor transforms the City Walk into the Boardwalk as guests dine on Soft Shell Crab Sliders, Shrimp and Oyster Po' Boys, and Blackened Mahi Mahi fish while enjoying a laid back atmosphere for singles and families alike.
"We decided to try for dinner based on mostly solid reviews on Open Table. We were thrilled with the results. Our server was extremely friendly, attentive and helpful, including making some great food recommendations. The crusted grouper ended up being picked by a few in our group, and everyone loved it. The room has a comfortable feel -- "rustic" has been aptly used in prior reviews -- which was perfect for what we wanted. The noise level became a little high at times, particulary for the older grandparents in our group, but overall was just right. Everyone had an excellent time. We'll definitely come back!"

"This is our fourth time here. They have the best oysters in town they are so good and big.when we go we have two dozen each . Last night we also shared the horseradish grouper, also really good. We like to sit outside because it tends to get noisier inside."

"Saturday night and probably could have dropped in without a reservation without too long a wait. Selection was ample, great local-focused beer list, and the food was fantastic. Casual atmosphere that I could easily see becoming a regular haunt."

"I LOVE this place for a great piece of fish at a reasonable price. If you're an oyster lover you can't beat their Monday/Thursday special - fresh on th half shell at the bar. Always a full house but they'll find you a spot. Formerly owned Fishmonger, which was more upscale but the fish here is just as good. Feels like Florida, you can wear your flip flops and cutoffs."

"We find ourselves going to Tin Can about once a month. Sometimes we're craving the raw oysters, other times the Thai mussels or just some of their great fish. Always dependably fresh and delicious. True, the menu isn't as exotic as some of the more upscale places, but their preparations are moderately sophisticated at prices that can't be beat."

"We dine here for the first time and we were not impressed. The menu left a lot to be desired. The choice was limited. The food was ok but nothing to brag about. For the money we could have eaten better seafood. The service was awful. Took forever to get a refill on drinks. The waitress was a total airhead. I would not waste my time going to the restaurant."

"We weren't sure about trying this place after reading some of the reviews. However, we decided to take a chance and was pleasantly surprised!! The food was excellent. The service was great also. If there was one negative, it would be the noise level. We will definitely go back."

"Not the best choice for a much needed date night away from the kids. The ambiance was lively, but the service left much to be desired. Tables are on top of each other. Food was very mediocre. Would be a better choice for lunch, not an evening out."

"I almost hate writing a gret review for Tin Can because then it will be difficult to get a table. However, there's no denying that Nik has the best fish in Atlanta. Yes, it's more of a fish house atmosphere than high brow dining, but this isn't beach food. My last visit I had the skate wing stuffed with shrimp and crab that was at least as good as what I used to get at Brasserie LeCoze. The Thai mussels are to die for - ask for extra bread to sop the broth. If you love fresh fish, you'll love Tin Can."
