"My wife and I are originally from the east coast, NJ to be exact and we have been struggling to find a good Italian Restaurant in Little Rock. That search is over. Overall Vesuvio was a perfect fit for us and our special occasion. The food was very good, the wine list was outstanding and the timing of the meal and appetizer was perfect. As for the service, our server Wally was very polite, professional and accommodating. I would recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a great meal. Now if you’re an OG fan or like pasta from a box and sauce from a jar you may not like Vesuvio. The prices are on the high end so be prepared to spend a little. And it’s a little small so if you don’t like close quarters it may not be for you"

"When we drove up to the restaurant and saw that it is located in a Best Western we almost drove away. How could a good restaurant be located a this site? Well, we decided to stay and take a chance. We ordered the pasta special, penne with eggplant and homemade tomato sauce. We were pleasantly surprised, it was delicious. I would not say there is much atmosphere but the service was excellent."

"Monday night's dinner was incredible. The same exact order on Tuesday night was mediocre. Even the heavenly fresh bread of Monday night was dry and old-tasting Tuesday night. I have since come to find out that the master chef Fabrezio, who was responsible for Monday's fabulous meal, was not cooking on Tuesday night, and Tuesday's bread was indeed baked on Monday ."

"I've been to many a hotel and the in house restaurant is almost always lacking. It was not the case with Vesuvio Bistro. The service was prompt, and my glass never went empty. The food was at the table in a very short amount of time and it was delicious. I will gladly go back to try a new entree, but definitely recommend the veal."

"If you're visiting Little Rock and would like to have an exceptional dining experience, go to Vesuvio Bistro. Go for the food. The ambience is dated but just overlook that because the food and service are really nice. I had a tomato-basil soup and penne pasta special with a very tasty sauce onf shiitake mushrooms and shrimp. It was probably the best penne I had ever had. We definitely will return to this restaurant."

"Even a favorite restaurant can have a bad night. I love this place, love the eggplant. Came to two of us lukewarm. It was taken back and came out as one big hot glob. Everything had melted together, dish lost all integrity. Certainly will go there again, just did not enjoy this meal. Two of the four diners enjoyed although both commented it is difficult to enjoy dinner when two meals are somewhere in the kitchen."

"My experience at Vesuvio's is a bit mixed. If you are looking for something different in Italian dining in Little Rock aside from the typical franchised affairs, this would be a good choice. However, the meal was a bit overpriced for what you receive and selection is very limited. Be sure to leave reservations as they pack the place in a small poorly lit environment which made it hard to read the menu. The ambience made it difficult to have a conversation with my date. I even moved my chair to set closer so that we can converse. The host/maitre d' did ask me to move back because it affected the flow, thanks to the waiting staff, we got the issue resolved."

"It was my anniversary and it was completely wasted here. We were ignored from the time we walked in the door.The service was absolutely awful. The food wasn't seasoned at all.Our waiter was AWOL all night long. My drink never got refilled and we had to chase him down just to order dessert. I was looking for a fine dining establishment and i did get that at all here. I tried contacting management about the treatment we received and was not given any kind of response. Terrible place you will find better Italian

"Love this place it gets better each time we have gone. If I had a complaint it is that some of the app portions are smaller with the price still the same like the polenta, it is great but a little on the small side.the meals were fantastic. I had the waygu ribeye with Gorgonzola cream sauce prepared perfectly came with a side of pasta. My wife only gets the spaghetti guitara it was especially good this time. Highly recommend!"

"Can you become addicted to something after trying it once? If it is the Chittara pasta prepared in the parm wheel, YES! unbelievable flavor with such simplicity. we just got it as a first plate to share with the table (of 6) and regretted we had to share! The ribeye was perfect, but the chicken cacciatore should be skipped. Not the best item on the menu. We split a tiramisu for dessert and ended the meal perfectly! Next time I will get the Chittara with shrimp or chicken for my meal and may have to do that very soon!"

"Two ribeyes looked OK, Steve grabbed the standing leg of lamb (only one left - must be good!) and the rest of us opted for salad and pasta.
My salad was medallions of goat cheese (not identified in the menu as being Deep Fried) was not bad, but little more than warm lettuce with the deep fried cheese. For my main course, I ordered the blue cheese sauced Gnocchi, which was also OK: a small dish (appetizer sized, really) with a little cheese on it.
The wine list was so limited by the glass, I had beer instead.
Ciao's is much better, and half the cost."

"Our waiter was very rude. The first time I overlooked it but when he insulted me the second time it was unbelievable. My partner agreed. He did not apologize. He wanted to argue. I have never been so insulted. I will recommend this restaurant. This was my first and last time to visit this restaurant."

"This was a nice find, I have never noticed that there was a restaurant at this intersection, only found it because of online reviews. Food could not have been better, so good. My only complaint is the waiter seemed to look off in other directions when communicating the specials for the evening making it hard to hear him over the other guests in the small but comfortable setting."

"I had never heard of Vesuvio until some friends mentioned it. My wife and I decided to give it a try. The lighting was dim, giving it a romantic feel. The dining area was fairly small. Waiters were all very friendly and helpful. Our waiter James was excellent. Our food overall was good. We split a salad to start. We both thought the presentation was a little odd, but flavors were good. I had a ribeye topped with caramelized and Gorgonzola. It was cooked to my request of medium rare. My wife had a bacon wrapped pork tenderloin, which unfortunately was overcooked and tough. Still, the night was successful and we will return."

"I was underwhelmed by my experience. Even with a reservation we were seated at a table next to the kitchen. This makes it so surprising that we were ignored by the wait staff; they had to walk right by us. The food was good although I was not a fan of the olive spread for the bread. The portions are a good size; not too large or small. All in all I would not tell someone not to go to this restaurant but it will not be my first choice when asked where to go."
