"We had a table for two next to a wall on a Sat. night. The tables were filled; the room not all that large, ceiling vaulted. The noise level was quite high and much of the time we could not hear each other across a small table unless we, too, raised our voices. While the food was excellent and we appreciated it being prepared with fresh, local ingredients, the ambiance detracted from the fine meal. If you go on a nice summer evening and want quiet conversation, ask to sit on the terrace."

"First curb appeal. The pictures don't exhibit the true beauty of the exterior of this restaurant, With an interior to match. The service was top notch and the food was exceptional. What a great little town with a moviehouse across the street. Well deserved Zagat rating of 27. Will definitely visit again VERY SOON!!! Loved everything about this restaurant."

"A total of three tables and we were all three crammed back to back in the back room. A tasteless wiener snitzel that the waiter assured me was excellant. We waited 45 minutes for food despite my saying we had a deadline to leave for the theater. A waiter that was overwelmed by having three tables. A view of the kitchen door despite an empty restaurant. The risotto and fish and sweetbread was very good, the foie gras was better that in France."

"My wife and I made our reservation based on Yelp reviews and their posted online menu. We loved everything: we shared a fresh pasta entree, two salads and two steaks, both of which were cooked perfectly. A few drinks each from their list and a bottle of wine suggested by our waitress. It was a varietal I was unfamiliar with, but it worked. And was modestly priced-$30ish. Their wine list was, in fact, very reasonably priced; I assume they have a reserve list if you want to spend. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable; not stuffy at all, which is sometimes an issue in nicer restaurants. Personally, I want to eat imaginatively envisioned and well prepared food while still feeling free to relax and be myself. Number 9 delivered."

"Love No. 9. One of our favourite spots in Dutchess County when we come up for the weekends. Especially great for dinner, our boys absolutely love the schnitzel.
For brunch would be nice to see some more breakfast style entrees added, but otherwise it is just great."
