"My family and I dined here at the suggestion of a friend. We were all so happy with the discovery of this little gem in the city of Scranton. Nice independent dining establishments are hard to find in this town so this restaurant is a nice find. Good food, large portions, excellent piano player/singer, nice cozy ambiance all make this a winner. It almost reminds you of an old time dinner club.

"My husband and I had dinner last Saturday night at Sambuca Grille and we were even more delighted with our experience than we thought we would be. The food is delicious, the cocktails and wine are excellent, and the service and ambience of this restaurant are wonderful - especially now that there is a piano player, who sings great songs and thoughtfully involves the patrons, all of whom were enjoying themselves. We can't wait to return to Sambuca Grille!"

"The restaurant has a classy vibe. For Valentines Day, the menu was limited, and overpriced. The portions were small but delicious. The services was standard, but the staff wore dress-clothing. Overall, nice, romantic restaurant. Look for the regular menu. It might be more reasonable in price."

"Honestly this was one of the best restaurants I have been to in a while. We are frequent diners and this really was great. I had the Shrimp Marsala and my wife had the Pollo Sambuca both were fantastic. This was our first time visiting and we already plan on going back."

"The food, service and atmosphere were great. I had Penne Putanesca with grilled shrimp. Grilled shrimp are often overcooked, but these were perfect! My wife had Frutti Di Mare - prepared very traditionally - the seafood there was also cooked perfectly.
The servers were attentive without being overbearing. I can see that the dining room could be crowded if it was full, but on a Monday night it was great for a romantic dinner.
The atmosphere, decor, service and food were all what I would expect at a higher price point."

"My daughter goes to the University of Scranton, and we make a point of booking Sambuca every time we visit. "The food here is always excellent; the service is equally impressive. Nice atmosphere with pianist playing/singing in the background (can get a little noisy close by, but nice to have live entertainment). With drinks, food, and dessert it can get a little pricey, but not out of line for the quality and amount of food. One of the best restaurants in the area."
