"Went there on Mother's Day. They had a simplified menu, but still managed to run out of lump crab (which represented about a forth of the choices) by 730. The food is very so so, it's overpriced, a little loud for my taste after the renovation. .. basically, they're trading on the view. If is a good view, but I don't need it that bad. The server did go out of her way to make things as nice for us as she could."

"The facility is absolutely gorgeous and the prices reflect that. However, the food was mediocre and the service was downright horrible. We have had better service at "Denny's". This is an upscale restaurant with several LOW SCALE servers. Used plates and dishes sat cluttering the tables as the server passed his tables several times empty handed. Utensils had to be asked for. Refills had to be asked for even though they were clearly needed. The server did not know his menu although it is not very large. Perhaps it is early in the season but there is no excuse for the poor service...the prices certainly are not poor.
We will give this place one last shot before we write it off but this last experience was horrible."

"This restaurant is right on the bay, just a short drive off the bridge. The tables are all indoors, but there are walkways and small piers to walk on before or after dining. All in all, the setting is super. The restaurant has huge glass windows so the views are unobstructed as well. The menu is a bit limited (perhaps because we were there on Mothers Day?) but not really a problem for us - we all found things we liked. The food is fine - attractive and decently prepared - so we all enjoyed our meal, but it wasn't spectacular. This is a place to go and relax & enjoy the views while also enjoying the food - not a place you'd go to primarily because of the food. If you go at dinnertime, bring sunglasses - the restaurant faces west!"

"My family went to your restaurant for Mothers Day. I was very disappointed in the limited main choices. We were given a brunch/sandwich menu with limited entrees. I had looked forward to a nice warm meat emtree but ended up with a sandwich. The adults -5 of us- ended up ordering a sandwich. Our dessert was very disappointing- apple turnover- cold n tough crust. Our granddaughter got the most basic pasta serving I ever saw in a restaurant. My grandsons chicken tenders looked totally unappetizing n dry. My family left the restaurant disappointed. I doubt that we will return. The noise level was such that we had difficulty visiting with each other. Frankly I was glad when we left. My husband felt the same as myself."

"This was mother's day, so considering there was a limited menu, our dining experience was okay. We were seated promptly & the service was very good. The food was pretty good, but the portions were small for the money they charge. One diner in our group ordered the surf & turf. The steak and the lobster tail were both tiny. He left the restaurant hungry, even after eating dessert!

"Hemingways has great seafood, but it is most notable for its stunning views of the bay and bridge. It is peaceful, relaxing, and awe-inspiring. I just love the place! And the Stella on tap doesn't hurt either...."

"Hemingway's was recommended by a friend who lives on Kent Island and we were a party of 9, the place was great, tables were open and you didn't feel so close to the next table that they could hear you chew. Awesome food, service was good, ambiance was great and view was to die for!"

"Overall it was OK, said reservation was for a B'day and didn't get offered
a B'day desert or something. In fact we were floored by how much
deserts were priced... $8.95 we thought high for bread pudding or creme brulee.
Most deserts were around that price higher then most comparable
restaurants in the Annapolis area. We did enjoy the seafood take on stuffed
potato skins with shrimp, crab and cheese instead of bacon and cheese but did
need to use the sour cream dip for the slightly dry potato. My friend thought
her appetizer of veggie crab soup was a bit sour. My diner of cedar plank salmon
was lovely but my friend thought the crab salad wrap lacked flavor other than mayo."

"Loved the view of the water from our table and the overall feel of the restaurant but the food was mediocre at best. For the prices charged you would expect a better quality of food. I ordered the crab cake for lunch and it had absolutely no lump crab meat in it. Too much filler."

"Upon arrival the hostess took us right back to our table with no wait. After sitting down we realized there was not enough room so they were kind enough to move us to a bigger table. The original waitress was assigned to our table and she was nothing but accomadating and helpful. She knew the menu very well and explained to us in details the specials. Very kind lady! The prices were fair and even the specials were exceptional value for the price. I'm beyond satisfied!"

"The scenic view was great, but the food did not compare. The food presentation was bad and it did not look appetizing or taste good. The seafood skins as an appetizer did not make you want to order more food. The waitress was one of the worst that we have had. She took so long to get back to us on everything. She would walk by and never look your way. She answered every request with sure and then, totally forgot about it."

"I ordered the crab cake (2 CC) dinner and they brought me the crab cake sandwich (1 CC), which was a good because the crab cake was over cooked, small, and drowning in old bay seasoning on the top. The cole slaw and fries were great and the desserts were fantastic. The clams casino was not worth the price, very small and loaded with bread crumbs. Our waitress was very attentive, but there were only a handful of diners that night. The prices are on the high end for the quality of food."
