Awww ... Cuba! Just a mere thought will have your hips swiveling in time to the rich mambo beat, which is only intensified if you happen to be drinking a sweet, rum-soaked mojito. Thinking about jumping a plane to Miami? No need! A Piece of Havana brings the Cuban flavor to your Charlotte stomping grounds.
We reward our guests by combining the native Siboney staples of corn, peanuts, and yucca with the Spanish accents of rice and olive oil. Alongside relocated Floridian Cubans, Belkis and Juan Plasencia, is a chef who together create garlic and herb-infused delights of the empanadas, moros y cristianos (black beans mixed with white rice), and of course the classic Cuban sandwich. Feel free to take full advantage of the take-out and coffee-to-go bar and drop by for live music on Friday and Saturday nights. Being our Guest is caliente!

"If you LOVE mojitos, Cuban cuisine and a vibrant atmosphere, this is the place! This is the perfect place for a date, family get-together or special celebration. Piece of Havana is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always wonderful and we love the live entertainment on the weekends. Plus, the prices are quite reasonable."

"We went on a friend's recommendation - one of our group is extremely familiar with Cuban food and said that he'd been looking for an authentic place since he moved to Charlotte years ago, he said this is the first time that he'd found such a place.
All but one person in our group loved their food (the Cuban coffee was outstanding).

"As expected, the evening went great. My group was quite happy with the restaurant and totally enjoyed their dishes. The selections ranged wide enough to plaese every one and got them to try a few different items. Our waiter Manuel is very cordial and friendly, handling our group of 17 with ease. "From the time we arrived and were seated it seemed like we did a lot of waiting. One of the main reasons we went was for yuca Frita which they were "out of". The food was not bad, but it was not as good as I would have hoped it would be. The food come out quite quickly which I was very satisfied with. I am from Miami and I have been looking for a good Cuban restaurant I guess I'll have to keep looking."
