"Not sure why this restaurant is on open table as they do not take reservations after 6:15 pm. Our reservation was at 5:45 pm and we would have preferred a later time. We assumed restaurant was very busy but found out when we got there that it wasn't. It's just that they don't allow reservations beyond 6:15 pm. Not a good system in our opinion, particularly since there was 7 of us.
Food is very good. Very large portions. Pricing of wine by the glass is very high as is a gelato for dessert. Be prepared for a huge bill."

"Outstanding Italian restaurant on Glades Road. Been there a half dozen times this year. Ambiance, menu, food, service all excellent.
Their plates are large and frequently shareable. We love their Gorgonzola Salad,as well as their chicken meatballs with pasta. Our friends have commented very positively on their seafood. I would say that you cannot go wrong here. Manga."

"Being that this was at least our 4th dinner at Mario's Osteria we have come to expect an outstanding dining experience. Reservation was honored immediately. Waitress Lauren G. did an outstanding job from start to finish. Salad, soup and entrees came timely; well presented and prepared as requested. Of special note was the eggplant parmegian. Hearty portion, correct temperature and well seasoned. The individual pizza and chicken sausage were also well prepared and seasoned to perfection. Compliments to the valet parkers, especially since it was pouring that evening and they were most helpful."

Waiter took 15 minutes to show up at table after we chased down a manager to find him. Waiter had to be repeatedly hunted down to return to us for additional service. Food was bland and tasteless. "As we were leaving, 4 of the hostesses were assembled at the exit-entrance in deep conversation, and did not bother to even turn to look at us, say good bye, or any acknowledgment that we were there. I would never come back, as this shows poor management in hiring and training proper staff. Short skirts are not everything!!"

"This was my second visit to this restaurant and I found the food to be very good both times. It can get very loud, and depending on where you are seated (and maybe your age) conversation can be difficult. At our most recent visit our party of four was seated at an unusually wide table, adding to the difficulty. Another issue I found at both visits was that the servers bringing the food had to ask who ordered what. Nevertheless it's an attractive restaurant with very good food at reasonable prices - definitely recommended."

"One of our group had the short ribs which he said was excellent; another had rigatoni which was great; I had fettuccine Alfredo which I asked to be al dente, and it was not which ruined the pasta. It appeared to be homemade which is difficult to make al dente."

"We have gone to Mario's happy hour several times. The prices are wonderful and the appetizers out of this world, especially the octopus! The bartenders and staff are always courteous and attentive. This was our first dinner however, and they did not disappoint. A couple in our party were a few minutes late and it was not a problem. Our table was set and waiting. Food was excellent as was our waiter. Sword fish was outstanding and pasta was the best, as was the mouth watering garlic rolls. Mario's will be our go to place !"
