We are looking forward to serving you and hope you will have a wonderful dining experience with us.
"We have eaten at Sushi Yasuda at least a 10 times and have had a great dining experience each time. I highly recommend the omakase, but the sashimi deluxe is also excellent, and so is the toro appetizer. The mushroom appetizer is also very tasty. We order from here quite a bit as well, but I find the sushi tastes so much better when you eat in."

"Excellent food, reasonable prices. Service is friendly, prompt, efficient. Small place, can get crowded esp. on weekends. Also very good for lunch. Crowd tends to be young, and includes many Japanese."

"Having been to Sushi Yasaka for about year. Serving always consistent quality menu items. Sushi/Sashimi item is the one of the best in Upper West Side and some appetizers(both kitchen and sushi bars) is also very well done. Yasaka also serves very good Tempura items, so don't forget order them too. As for the dessert, Greentea Millcrepe is a great item to finish with your dinner."

"This is hands down my favourite sushi restaurant in NYC. Having grown up in Japan, I really appreciate the quality and freshness of their sashimi and sushi. Unfortunately, the last two times that I've gone, we've had an hour wait for our meals. While the servers have provided us with edamame as an apology, both times we've sat for 45 minutes before having any food at all, which is a bit tough when we're so hungry. It's really exciting to see Yasaka doing so well."

"Sunday night dinner, around 6:30pm. The place was full and we needed the reservation.
The adults got a pretty big sashimi plate and the large omakase, which was around a dozen pieces of sushi, plus a couple pieces of sashimi, plus a maki roll. It was not quite fall-over-in-amazement-good, but was really quite good. The kids enjoyed edamame and a couple of hand rolls. They were accommodating of the kids slicing their rolls into 8 more manageable pieces instead of 6, and generally fussing over them a bit (which they enjoyed).
Our eyes were a bit bigger than our stomachs and one of the kids was getting pretty tired, but the staff wrapped up whatever pieces we hadn't eaten, and got us our check quickly."

"Some of the best sushi I've had in a long time. Service is ok. You're crammed in a little tight. Definitely make a reservation. A little noisy, but nothing you can do about that. Bottom line, the food was outstanding."

"Really enjoyed everything we ordered. The wait staff was very pleasant and earnest and very good about refilling tea and water, but uneven in its presentation of dishes for a group of five people. The timing was off, as the starters and mains weren't presented to everyone at once, but in dribs and drabs. Doesn't mean we won't come back, but it's an area for improvement. Dishes we had included tuna & avocado in fresh wasabi soy sauce, beef negimaki, miso soup, sashimi appetizer, yaki salmon donburi, sushi deluxe, salmon teriyaki, grilled shrimp & avocado salad, green tea ice cream. No complaints with anything we ordered."

"Decent sushi for the price. I had a real problem with the server. I was catching up with an old friend I haven't seen in years, and the waitress came over no less than 7 times in the first 30 minutes we sat down. Each time we told her that we hadn't looked over the menu yet, she turned around in a huff. The last time, she just stood there until we looked over the menu. Not to mention that there were only 5 other occupied tables in the restaurant, and no one was waiting for a table. We felt incredibly rushed considering we were this server's only table. Had she been more courteous, she would've gotten more of a tip on her only table there for that hour."

"Sashimi was good and the waitress kept my glass of water and green tea full at all times. They even switched in extra salmon because I mentioned that I like salmon. Will go again when looking for sashimi on the Upper West Side."

"Outstanding food is hidden in this UWS gem. We ordered the vegetable tempura udon, soba, sushi, spicy tuna roll, and fried organic tofu steak. All of it was fantastic and unforgettable - not just the quality and execution, but the generous portions as well. We left with full stomachs. Our server was quick and efficient, though we would have liked to see him smile once. The only real problem at this place was that every table was occupied on our arrival, despite our 7.30 reservation on a Sat night, and we were told there was lengthy wait. Since we dine here all the time, we made a reservation on this particular evening, precisely to avoid this situation, but it was useless. To our horror, a family of 4 was asked to move to accommodate us."
