"Ambiance and service was great! Unfortunately...the food was not anything special. The food was typical of any sushi restaurant. For that price, I was hoping for a little "wow" factor. The scallops were overdone, but they were very accommodating and didn't charge us for it. The restaurant is beautiful, now all they have to do is kick the food up a notch!!"

"Blowfish on King is the original but the second location fares well. It's a little less hip and a bit more corporate, but it's also way easier to get a table on popular nights out. The food is an homage to Nobu — definitely try the spicy rock shrimp and the black cod — with a bunch of original flavors added to the mix (we were big fans of the Coconut Bay roll)."

"Third time at Blowfish, first at the Bay St location. I find the food to be way overpriced for the quality. Each time I go back I get more and more disappointed. Orange + black rolls were good but the hot oil hamachi was terrible...tasted really fishy. Not a good dining experience."

"Being a regular at the original Blowfish I also regularly visit this venue and am not disappointed. It is a lunch time place for me as I dine for dinner at the Bathurst Street location. Sushi is fresh and creative. Other dishes imaginative. Its pricey but then who wants to eat cheap sushi?"

"I brought my grown-up children here to celebrate my birthday. I guess I should have done my research first. It was more of a bar than a dining place and we were all disappointed with the amount of the food and the price. There was really nothing great about the food, smaller Japanese restaurants around Toronto serve better quality and quantity for the price."

"This is hands down the best sushi restaurant in Toronto. All choices are very advanced in culinary technique, and the flavours were wonderful. The staff is very well trained, and take care of your every need. The price reflects the quality of the food, but you get what you pay for.I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to my friends, and will be going back myself."

"We've eaten at Blowfish on King and loved it, so we were staying downtown and tried Blowfish on Bay and loved it as well. We had a great meal, all the dishes were beautifully presented, the food was amazing and we had great service. Toronto has so many ethnically diverse resturants and when you live 2.5 hours away, its great to experience it and Blowfish didn't disappoint, it was a great experience."
