"Went there for brunch on Mothers Day. The food was fine, but nothing special. Shrimp, chive and goat cheese omelette seemed to be missing the goat cheese. The presentation was minimalist, with the omelette and a few potatoes. I mentioned it to the waitress when she returned to our table, and she assured me the goat cheese had probably melted and offered to make another one. By then, I'd eaten most of it. No mention of Mothers Day by the staff. Fun location and valley parking a plus (although I found on street parking)."

"recently dined here with a group of 6. Decor is beautiful. Location is great. Food was AMAZING! service was likewise great. Steaks were beautifully done and the butter absolutely made those steaks just another cut above. You will drop a pretty penny here but we all felt it was well worth it. There was one really loud group next to us which was the only detraction but that happens pretty much everywhere. It isn't a place you're likely to get in and out quickly so if you are pressed for time it may not be the best choice for you."

"We went here for lunch to celebrate a co-worker's retirement. I liked the decor of the restaurant. The tomato soup with the grilled cheese crouton was excellent. A co-worker ordered the carrot and dill soup and that was superb. I usually do not like carrot anything but that has changed my mind. The crab cake sandwich is very good, lots of crab meat, The orange and lemon sauce really complimented the crab cake, however I thought the bun was too large and I did not like the sesame seeds on the bun. I also tasted an oyster from my co-worke po' boy and it was so fresh, juicy and tasty. The truffled fries were cripy and delicious. Our server was the best, very attentive and friendly. I will definitely go back"

"Service was quite slow, and waiter had to check back twice regarding availability of menu items. Tomato-cheese pie, crabcake sandwich, and beef barbecue were all very good, as was lemon chess pie, pear tart, rum raisin gelato, and Black-eyed Monk (coffee drink). Hamburger was sizeable and meaty, but not much flavor (cooked to medium). Split-pea soup with kielbasa tasted fine, though not much different from Progresso in a can, IMHO. I used to be a waiter (ours may have been new on the job), and I know not every day's a home run, so I'll come back for another try. Good potential."

"Took my wife and daughter here for my wife's birthday. The waiter Chris was very attentive but not overbearing. He was honest and suggested the best meals and wine to get. Even the owner came up to our table to ask how everything was. It was a great dining experience and we will come again."

"We met friends and their 4 year old for brunch. We made a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival. Brunch offerings were unique and included a bellini bar. I enjoyed the shrimp/chive/goat cheese omlette very much. My friends ordered the eggs benedict and burgers. My only complaint was the slow food service. When we were seated the place was nearly empty, yet it took 45 minutes from the time of ordering to receive our food. A large party of 20 was seated half an hour after us, but they all received their food before our order came out. Not cool. At least the biscuits were tasty and the drinks were refreshed while we waited a tediously long time for our meal to arrive. The atmosphere was pleasant with bright yellow walls."

"Best omelet I've had: shrimp and goat cheese - with no skimping on the shrimp. Delicious! The pastry basket was amazing - everything light and flaky. I need to come back for dinner!"

"We went here with high expectations and left with minimal ones being met. This might have been "one of those nights" but the service was slow and our food was average. Staff was courteous but stretched thin due to very busy night. It took 15 minutes for drinks to come and only after reminding staff. Mac N Cheese and bisque was good, but steaks where not remarkable. We had high expectations around the brave heart beef and found it to be dry. Based on the good things we had heard from trusted friends, my guess is that this was not a typical experience."

"3 of us went, all ordered different cuts of steak, different potatoes, and different drinks. The wine list was well rounded. The specialty drink list, while not particularly large, had a variety to suit different tastes. Their version of a Long Island actually tasted like iced tea (but what kick!). The steaks were cooked exactly as we ordered; both the garlic butter and 3 peppers were mouth watering; the mashed potatoes were so creamy good; the truffle oil cooked fries were the best we ever ate in our lives; the scallopped spuds were just OK. The desert drinks were tasty but the butter schnaps on the menu unfortunately is no longer sold. The view of Main St made it interesting, but not a quiet dinner. Lastly, valet service was unsat."

"We've eaten at Arcadia twice now, and have been extremely pleased on both occasions. The food is imaginative and delicious, the service is perfect (attentive and not at all intrusive!), and the drinks are wonderful! Try the Quixote, you won't be disappointed!! We love the quirky, warm atmosphere. It's a fave for us!"

"Cocktails were very good and they have a very nice selection of wines by the glass as well as afforable bottles. The Braveheart beef was a big disappointment: my wife got the fillet, and I got the strip steak ordered medium rare. Both were tough, and the strip steak was overcooked and dry (medium). Seared scallop appetizer very good, but could be improved by searing both sides, rather than just one side. Rockfish enjoyed by 3rd in our group was quite good."

"You can not go wrong by ordering any food on the menu. The bar tender was friendly and had a great food knowledge of the menuu. I was impressed with the cocktails, oysters with the horseradish minoette and the truffle fries. For our entrees, I was licking the bowl of my Lobster PotPie and my wife loved the lamb dish with the celery mash."

"Can't believe this is my first time dining here. Awesome experience and incredible food-- the Pork Osso Bucco was phenomenal!! We brought my 2 1/2 year old niece along and I was worried it wouldn't be a very kid friendly place but our server was so accommodating and sweet. I'll definitely come back for date night with my husband-- and saving room for dessert next time!"

"Arrived half hour early and still had immediate seating-outstanding. All had individual glasses of wine from extensive & varied list. Scallops on polenta, lobster pot pie, encrusted rock fish on cream sauce, all outstanding. Lemon chess pie flaky & tart. Great waitstaff, excellent evening. Pricey yes, deserved yes. Will return again."

"My second time at Arcadia, I found the staff friendly and the service impeccable. The food was very good. The Lobster Bisque was quite nice. However, like my previous visit I ordered the strip steak, rare, with the port shallot compound butter. While my first visit could only be described as divine, I found the beef to be rather tough and chewy. I had to cut it rather thinly in order to enjoy it. I paired the beef the with brussel sprouts, which were incredible.
The ambiance of the restaurant is very nice and as I said, the staff is top notch. Two notes however... First, I did not enjoy sawing at my beef with a subpar, somewhat dull, serrated steak knife. Second, if the table cloth is heavily pilled, replace it please."

"The ambiance was great! The food was tasty but the carrot and full soup was so buttery! They could have used half to amount and it would be fine. Not sure if it was meant to be this way or if there was an accidental mistake. Our waiter was awesome! Kept and eye out for us and made sure our wine glasses were never empty."

"Until now, my wife and I have avoided Arcadia because the awning out front features "Braveheart Beef" and my wife and I are not beef eaters. Finally, intrigued by the menu, we made a reservation last Saturday night. The interior still had the familiar feel of Cafe Gutenburg and we were instantly comfortable. When our food arrived it exceeded all expectations. I started with the baby kale caesar salad. Now, I know a lot of people don't get excited by kale, but this was a truly amazing flavor experience. My wife's shrimp and lentil dish was bursting with flavor and my vegetarian lasagne was a deconstructed version of the dish that was incredibly creative and delicious. We will be making future visits!"

"Overall a good restaurant. We went early so the wait staff was not full up to speed yet and as the restaurant started to fill it seemed like they got a bit overwhelmed. I'm sure they settled a bit later. I had the Pork Shank and it was wonderful, tender and well trimmed, personal preference was for a more traditional risotto but the barley rice was good too. Brussel Sprouts as a side were very good, just a little crispy. Salads were unique and delicious we had an 08 Malbec that was great. Will go back."

"My boyfriend & I had been wanting to try Arcadia for a while, but had never gotten around to it. I finally got a chance to take him for his birthday on Wednesday. We had a nice little corner table away from foot traffic, making the night cozy & romantic for us. Our waitress was friendly & engaging, without intruding too much on our time. I had the carrot soup (so good!) & the salmon entree. My boyfriend had deviled eggs and the tenderloin with a garlic compound butter. I don't think I've ever seen him so happy with a steak! My entree was a perfect combination of flavors. The Pimms cup was delicious & refreshing. We will definitely be returning in the near future for drinks and small plates on the patio, once the weather is warmer."

"We arrived in the pouring rain, the valet escorted us to the door with an umbrella. We were promptly seated and greeted by our waiter. The appetizers were excellent and the main courses were over the top delicious!! The owner came to our table and introduced himself and was very personable and wanted to extend his gratitude for choosing his restaraunt for our dining experience! Arcadia is first class all the way and we will be adding this place to one of our faves!!"

"We arrived for dinner on a Tuesday night...only one other table in the restaurant was occupied. Our server, Jackie, was attentive and did a wonderful job....even as the restaurant got busier and she had more tables to attend to. Two cream soups were outstanding.....one lobster and one carrot and dill. Salads were good but not up to the level of the soup (one sliced iceberg and one arugala). Main course choices were two crabcakes (lots of crab, almost no filler/binding and super rich) and the 7 oz tenderloin....meat was tasty but no where near the best we have ever had. Unusual selection of wines by the glass....relied on on server for recommendations. Would return and recommend."

"I took my wife here for her birthday and after having read all the reviews to request a seat upstairs for the view, I was a little disappointed that the upstairs portion is not open during the week. Other than that, it was an excellent experience, and we will be making a return trip on the weekend. They gave my wife a delicious dessert for her birthday as well, and no one tried to sing her a song. Excellent!"

"Let me say I would definitely go back. There were just a few significant opportunities for improvement on the food front. But there are many other dishes I'd like to try. Salad course was a big disappointment. Arugula salad had entirely too many greens and not enough cheese, walnuts or apples. And the cider dressing didn't do anything to liven it up. Baby kale Caesar was much better. I'd try an app or soup and skip the salad here. Entrees were very good from beef to pork osso bucco. Literally the behemoth pork shank gave us 3 meals. Tartuffo dessert was on par with other good ones but rice pudding was lacking custard & dry. Great service & valet parking is nice. Comfy interior & nice bar."

"Arcadia never dissapoints. The food is consistently SPECTACULAR! Our entire party of 6 was pleased from the bisque, arugula salad and crapcake starters to the Rockfish, Beef and Buttermilk Chicken Thighs entrees, all were scrumptous. Oh, and the dessert - bread pudding - YUMMY! And, to just make the evening perfection, our waiter Kyle was impeccable."

"We had a birthday dinner for 6 on a Saturday night. Everything was great and every plate was emptied. The waiter was very friendly and courteous. I only wish I had known they had valet parking since it took some talking to get my husband to go there because he hates looking for parking. As it was, the Farmers Market across the street was open for paid parking."
